Common Questions and Answers about Yeast infections and green tea

yeast-infection

I too am prone to frequent yeast infections and UTI's for some reason. I don't know anything about the specfic drug that you're referring to, but I thought I'd share some things that have helped minimize them for me. I always seemed to get them every single time I had sex, I mean almost EVERY single time. (We are trying to have a baby, so those infections were pretty much constant!) I started showering and making my husband shower right before any intimacy.
I had problems when I was younger, around time I got my period (14) but didn't go to a doctor until I was 18. Since then I have been tested for everything and treated for multiple yeast infections, trich, bacterial vaginosis and even chlamydia once though was later discovered I did not have that. All treatments give me only temporory relief. I've been tested for cancer and had ultrasound. I've been to both clinics and hospitals. The final verdict, always, is that I'm actually just fine.
Hi, My wife aso has had problems with yeast and I have experienced infections myself after the use of antibiotics. I'm also uncircumcised and the infection was the worst on the glans and foreskin. It is important that both of you are treated at the same time and to abstain from sexual activity. There are differents creams to deal with this. Canesten and Monistat are 2 of them. Make sure that you cover as much of your penis as possible.
I too have had re-occuring yeast infections. I stopped taking the pill and they stopped. After I gave birth to my daughter (c-section), they have started up again. I have been searching for a way to prevent them and found nothing seems to work! My doctor told me to stop using soaps down there. He said that water and a gentle rub is a sufficiant cleaning. I was grossed out at this at first because...well, obviously things happen down there that you think would require soap but nope...
I know that sounds like an old wives tale but i would literallty get one instantly if he drank beer and gave me oral without brushing his teeth and rinsing with mouth wash,,,, anyways i am now with a new partner for the past 3 months and we recently started having unprotected sex and I have had 2 yeast infections... hopefully the nuvaring will help me out here. I used an over the counter medicine the first time and now am on a prescription terconazole i think it's called.
I took her to the pediatrician who insisted little kids can't get BV (why not?) and it must be a yeast infection. So I've been treating her with an anti-fungal cream for 4 days, and have seen no diff. IN fact it's more red than before. And there's no way that she's being abused, just to get that right off the table. She stays home with me and I'm super sensitive to that type of thing, so that doesn't enter as a possibility for me.
There is tons of information on the internet if you do a google search - (healing yeast infections naturally) (garlic and yeast infections) (tea tree and yeast infections) and check out probiotics and yeast infections too while your searching. Good luck and happy healing!
I have had a yeast infection for around half a year now and it will not go away i tried some pill that made me throw up so the doctor just told me to take these pills from cvs that are really made to prevent yeast infections , and i thought my yeast infection was gone but it game right back after me taking the pills everyday for two months I dont want to have to take those pills everyday though because of this there must be a solution ?
's office and on antibiotics and steroids for multiple and chronic infections and surgeries. I have been diagnosed with asthma, high cholesterol, gestational diabetes (during pregnancy #1), Hypertension (During Pregnancy #2) and PCOS as a teen. My family history isn't perfect but not alarming nor helpful to me either. I have never been overweight but have been known to be underweight. I have never had an eating disorder and I LOVE food so my low weight is not deliberate.
At the time, I experienced a major drop in my immune system. I got PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and multiple UTI and yeast infections. After a few months, everything cleared up and all was okay until lately. Now, almost a year and a half later, I have another very painful PID. My questions are: Is the PID caused by HPV? I've been screened for other STDs and I'm all clear. Did I contract PID from a sexual partner? What are ways I can change my lifestyle and diet to boost my immune system?
There is so much information out there though and it gets pretty scary at times. A lot of stuff links Yeast Infections with Herpes and that is one thing I wasn't tested for because there were no sores or anything. Plus the swab came back that it was a VERY bad yeast infection. It has had me an emotional mess though. I have never experienced anything like this and I started to worry that it was something else and NOT the Monistat.
I have been to 3 doctors now and all the tests come back negative for STDs and yeast infection is negative also. I am confused as hell and my doctors dont know what is going on. I am healthy and excercise regularly, I dont have any other symptoms other than what I stated. Please any help or advice at this stage, doctors have been of no help for the last 4 months.
Many Hashis have an underlying yeast issue and are prone to yeast infections. I drink one tbsp virgin coconut oil per night from www.naturesflavors.com to combat my yeast. It has helped immensely. I no longer get mouth ulcers/thrush. Caffeine, dairy, yeast, gluten, corn, green tea, iodine, can cause antibodies to attack, depending on the Hashi individual. It is important to get the TGab and TPOab and determine if Hashi is to blame. And, yes, Sjrogen's can accompany Hashi.
Yeast infections can be unfomfortable but virtually never serious. That will have to be all for this thread. Take care.
Maggie, our other pup, is a dal x lab mix, so is it correct to assume she likely has the same tendency and should be treated the same as Doc? Both dogs have water available inside and outside and are very good about keeping themselves hydrated. Thanks!
I haven’t used this much but it seems like a good soothing face cream and I like the ingredient list I've also been drinking at 1 or 2 cups of green tea a day instead of coffee during the week (it’s tougher to do on weekends and breaks). Other than that I've been eating my usual diet which is pretty typical stuff except I never drink soda, drink lots of water, and never eat fast food from chains like McDonald’s, Wendy’s, etc.
I was tired before therapy due to long work hours, but nothing like the fatigue I have experienced during 104 wks., of therapy and even now, post last rd. of therapy August 06. I do not have the energy to tackle almost anything & I still have many side affects.I developed Cryo & Neuropathy as a result of the Hep C. I take Vit. B12 injections wkly. & procrit when I was on therapy. The only thing that helps at all is Ritalin, which I hate to take.
I have had swelling to the hood and labias for past 2 months. I have recurrent yeast infections and 2 months ago had one of the worst yeast infections ever. The white specs under the hood was also present...even changed the brand of toilet tissue I use thinking it was from the "softer" brands.Needed to use Monistat 3 to no effect and had to use Monistat7 and be placed on antibiotics.
Everything burns, the Doc told me she saw yeast on 12-2, diflucan, and the otc vuvla cream.. moinstat, which I used once or twice a year when I had yeast infections since I was about 20. It stung everything and the diflucan fixed nothing. I went back and asked for an std test, i have been seeing 2 guys for the last 2 months, since my soon to be ex husband is out of the pic.
Jacob Teitelbaum in the Townsend Doctors Newsletters and he read it and this is what really convinced him that I should try doxycyline for a month to see if it helps with my symptoms. She's right that the co-infections need to be adressed as well and I will be going to this Fibro & Fatigue Center in Seattle to get my situation addressed. They deal with all, viral, bacterial and fungal and do extensive testing.
I am sure you can relate to that feeling when sex is getting really good and then suddenly you gasp with pain because just by moving your legs a particular way he has stretched and split the skin again!! I would like to get to the cause here. I've had reoccuring bladder and yeast infections and now this strange paper cut problem. I use Canestan (might be english brand) which might be a cause. My perinium seems to be short, meaning my vagina and anus are quite close together.
Keep a journal of what foods cause you to have more gas, pain or loose stools and avoid those foods. Try natural items to help with colon pain like peppermint.(Tea, altoids, etc) they are a natural anti-spasmodic. Also try digestive enzymes like beano to help prevent gas from starting, which is a culprit for IBS pain.
I've been taking 500mg metformin myself and I have not experienced any weight loss. I am actually taking it for diabetes treatment. But it has not helped with my weight loss.
folic acid; choline; vitamins C and E; coenzyme Q10; acetyl-L-carnitine, N-acetyl-cysteine, green tea, L-arginine, curcumin, silymarin, and th branched-chain amino acid complex (valine, leucine, and isoleucine) JOVO/ALT.
About yeast infections. I had a surgery with days of antibiotics. I developed a terrible yeast infection even on my external skin! My regular Dr, is an MD and alternative. She had me take FLORASTOR by Biocodex. If I understand right it is a freeze dried yeast type intestinal probiotic that lives off the same type of sugars Candida does but at a much more prolific rate . It crowds out the Candida and it's not bad for you.
You have to do that for a few days. It helps when you have yeast infections or to prevent yeast infections.
from what I fond is that the anti-fungal and antibiotics and the stuff for yeast infections (and other things) kills all the bacteria good and bad. There are plenty of bad bacteria in are every day life but a lot of are food is missing the good bacteria (even the food that should have lots of it like yogurt). And from what I fond it does take 2-6 months to get completely balance again.
Among the suggestions that have worked for other people, work out vigorously every day, remove gluten from diet, and as Cary suggested eat lots of fruits and leafy green vegetables and avoid sugar. There is also a suggestion of "Leaky Gut Syndrome" which is controversial. Best wishes.
If needed a throat culture will show the growth and the antibiotics to which the pathogens are most susceptible to. During culture it would be worthwhile to test for yeast infections also besides bacterial infections. Viral infections are by exclusion and do not need any antibiotic therapy unless there are superadded infections. Hope this clarifies your doubts. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
