yeast infection yogurt pregnant

sorry guys if tmi. i got a yeast infection from a antibiotic just before i fell pregnant and fell pregnant while treating it with canestan 7 day cream. it didnt go away and it keeps getting worse. i have used the 7 day cream about 5 times now with no help only relief from the itching and painful sex for about 2 days after i finished the treatment. i have had it my entire pregnancy and im 18 weeks now.

So i read in a post a few days ago, that putting greek jogurt up your vagina would help heal the yeast infection. ...i tried that yesterday and today it was only getting worse so i stopped. Anybody have any advice?

So I think I have a yeast infection is it okay to take over the counter meds for it? Not the pill but the cream? I know it's tmi sorry :/ 13 weeks and 3 days btw.

Sorry to hear that. Monistat is probably the only med they recommend for yeast infection during pregnancy. Can't your doc prescribe something?? How long can you go on like this? Good luck to you. I hope it goes away!

m 34 weeks pregnant. Doctor has done so many tests and everything is normal but it looks and seems like a yeast infection. She tells me to just keep taking monistat 7 days is this ok I feel like there's more she should do to try to help me..?

Is there any home remedies that are safe in pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection? I have already had it twice ans took that one day pill form of it. Just found out its listed as category c so that kind of annoyed me how my dr just acted like it was completely safe. I also really dont want to shoot medicine up there because it just sounds really difficult... any suggestions??

Agree with everything in the above post!!! It is a good idea to eat yogurt because the probiotics in it neutralize your ph in your "area" so that the yeast can't grow. I always eat yogurt when I am on antibiotics and if I don't I always get a yeast infection. Also wearing cotton underwear is the best thing because it is breathable. Im not sure about the cream, but plain yogurt can help. I had a yeast infection once and my doctor told me to eat plain yogurt...and a little tmi he even suggested on putting the yogurt on like lotion in that area. I was better the next morning.

A week ago my doctor gave me doxycycline hydrate to fight off an infection that is causing me to have a itchy urethra. If you have a yeast infection the doc told me that Monstat is good to use while pregnant but I would have it checked out by the doc 1st b/c that's what I thought I had 2 & it wasn't that. I just went through a bad yeast infection while pregnant with twins. I first tried yogurt but it wasn't working quick enough. Asked the doctor and was advised to take Monistat 7. It takes some time to heal but it's safe because the medicine is not as highly concentrated as in Monistat 1 or 3. I hope you feel better soon!

It is probably another yeast infection. It is very common to get multiple yeast infections while pregnant, just for the simple fact that while you are pregnant your hormones are all out of whack. My cousin is a great example. With her first pregnancy, she pretty much had a yeast infection the whole time! No matter how many times she went to get it taken care of it kept coming back! Don't worry about it, it's normal. Just make sure that you keep getting them treated. Good luck!

But my yeast infection only started after I took lamictal. Has anyone else had this problem? How did your doctors get your yeast to go away?

well your going to just have to tell your my mom about it so u guys can go to a doctor to see if its a yeast infection. but if u want some home remedies if u try not to eating anything with yeast & eat some yogurt with no sugar or fruit.
