The idea is that the live bacteria in the yogurt will find their way to your vagina and get rid of the bad bacteria and yeast. It won't hurt, but if you continue to have problems then antibiotics from a doctor is a better option. Good luck.

well your going to just have to tell your my mom about it so u guys can go to a doctor to see if its a yeast infection. but if u want some home remedies if u try not to eating anything with yeast & eat some yogurt with no sugar or fruit.

Antibiotics kill the good bacteria that help fight yeast infections so that is probably your problem. Try eating yogurt with live cultures everyday to see if that helps balance your body back out. There is also yogurt pills you can take if you do not like it. Yogurt has lactobacillus acidophillus that helps the good bacteria in your body that fights the infections. Best of luck to you.

I was just told to use the over the counter creams and such but you can also try to eat more yogurt, it has good bacteria in it that helps combat yeast infections. I have one now and it is so annoying!

Have her eat yogurt with live cultures every day to help balance bacteria levels or L. acidophilus capsules which are the one of the cultures in yogurt that help yeast levels. These do not work for everyone but it is worth a shot. Best wishes for you both.

you can get over the counter treatments if you are sure it is a yeast infection and if it happens frequently then you may need to see your gyno.. while you have the yeast infection though you should use condoms because you can pass it to your boyfriend which will in turned be passed back to you and just keep cycling.. a yeast infection though is nothing like AIDS it something that occurs to probably 80% or more of women at one point in their lives... no big deal!!!

Any time I have taken antibiodics and knew it would result in a yeast infection, I took the yeast infection medication the day after I took the last antibiodic. Mostly because the antibiodic is much more powerful.

its possible but rare to be allergic to semen ...start a pro biotic and tons of yogurt this will build up good bacteria that keeps yeast in check ..

Try all natural yogurt and eat tons of yougurt with probiotics and all that good stuff not the sugar filled yogurts the ones that are really good for you yogurt has the good bacteria thats in your vagina the meds kill the yeast and infection but they also kill the good bacteria I know how bad it ***** i suffer from the same thing good luck hope that can help you

If its thrush in the vagina that is just basically a yeast infection... caused by a certain type of bacteria. (I think). I don't think it affects the baby. Good luck and I hope you get it taken care of quickly!

Agree with everything in the above post!!! It is a good idea to eat yogurt because the probiotics in it neutralize your ph in your "area" so that the yeast can't grow. I always eat yogurt when I am on antibiotics and if I don't I always get a yeast infection. Also wearing cotton underwear is the best thing because it is breathable. No, yeast infection is not associated with HPV... which test told you that you are positive for HPV? if it is hpv dna digene test then it must have told you about the type i.e., low or high... the test tells you only about the active hpv... if it is low then you may have visible warts or subclinical warts (those are not visible to naked eye) in or outside vaginal area...

Are you eating yogurt once a day? Yogurt does have natural (good) bacteria that will help fight off the yeast infection. Eating nuts are ok because they are have monounsaturated oils but coconut oils are saturated fat so suggest eating very small amounts or not at all.

medications didnt work for me last time and so i used yogurt which was exactly what your body needs when you have thrush....natural bio yogurt without sugar contains the good bacteria which feeds on yeast...thrush is caused when the balance is knocked off and the bacteria are killed off (usually caused by antibiotics) so all you need to do is replace the bacteria youve lost, creams and pills and what not are not needed. but no sugar remember...yeast feeds on sugar!

basically, when you have antibiotics, they kill off the good bacteria too, so the yeast can grow like crazy...the bio yogurt contains the bacteria thats been killed off and so will feed on the yeast and once again get it under control. its better than the creams cause that only kills off the yeast and doesnt replace what youve lost......yogurt is cheaper too. so just apply a little around the affected area when it feels uncomfortable.

yeast infection or bacteria, drink alot of water, they will give you a pill if its a yeast infection, but when i had that it would help only a few days, creams from over the counter did not help, what help me was yogurt an alot of water but i had a case were i had both bateria and a yeast infection.

I told him i was having some itching and I was worried i had a yeast infection. He either said get some vagasil or monastat....I dont remember which one. What have you other pregnant ladies been told to use? Vagisil wont take care of a yeast infection will it?
