yeast infection while using nuvaring

Many people have experienced pains and light bleeding while having intercourse and using nuvaring. It seems to affect everyone differently, but it's very likely the nuvaring is the source of your problems. I would suggest trying a different form of birth control, as this one is obviously not for you.

So when my boyfriend and I have sex it hurts. At first it hurt just in certian positions, now it hurts all the time. It's a burning/stinging sort of hurt and I was wondering if the NuvaRing caused a rash in my vagina. I've been using the NuvaRing for about 8 months now so I don't know why I'd be having a reaction to it now..

Yeast infection, I use to be on the nuvaring and it did that to me to, my doctor took me off it and put me on the pill

I was on the Nuva Ring a couple years ago. It caused me to have a lot of discharge which wasn't a yeast infection. That was the reason why I switched back to the Pill. Just contact your doc and see what their opinion is about the discharge.

I am on the NuvaRing and while it is supposed to be hypoallergenic, I am concerned that it is causing irritation. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so, what was it diagnosed as and what was the treatment? I really love my NuvaRing and am praying it is not the cause.

Hi, I just started using nuva ring and a couple days after i got a yeast infection. Can nuva ring cause that or could it be that i was on augmenton for 3 days?

She did a swab test and I will hear back in 10 days, but she also gave me meds for a yeast infection as well as herpes. I took the pill she gave for the yeast infection and got monistat and have put cream on it and any pain I have had has gone away within the last 24 hours. I know the sores are still there, but they are smaller. Am I right to assume that a combo of all of the above has just lead to the most painful yeast infection ever?

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. The area itchs and it almost feels like a yeast infection, but there is no odor. I have been on Nuvaring for several years. I know I do not have an STD beause I have been to the OBGYN twice. Does anyone know if this is a yeast infection, or possibly something else. I was just taking antibiotics for a recent oral surgery.

Its so confusing because there have been so many women who have gotten pregnant while using a birth control contraceptive.

It's my second time using the nuvaring method. I was on the IUD method but my uterus rejected it two times; so the dr. suggested to take it out & use another method(on March 2nd). So i decided to go back on the nuvaring method; eventhough, I was having complications the 1st time I used this method. Thought i had just used it wrong the 1st time. On March 5, I started my period(light period) & decided to have intercourse with my partner(who i've been with for 2yrs).

I've had the nuvaring for a few months now. Ever since I started using it I've had one UTI, and a kidney infection that was so severe I was hospitalized with a fever of 104. I don't remove my nuvaring to have a period (my doctor said it was completely fine to take out the old one and insert a new one to prevent period.) I take it out usually before sex and wash my hands and rinse the ring off before re-inserting it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Do not try to have sex while you have a yeast infection or are taking the medication. Give yourself/body time to heal. The infection can be spread to your partner causing him similar symptoms and discomfort. Give it a few days(or at least until you finish the medicatio) then resume the fun and games.

Doctors recommend monistat for yeast infections while pregnant... I dont recall azo being on the list I was given for medications...

t have any of the symptoms of a yeast infection, but we read that oral sex could cause my yeast infection. Is there anything that he could treat himself with to help me out? I have given him the external tube of Monistat, but it says its for itching, and he doesn't have anything??

I just started the Nuvaring 3 weeks ago. I'll be taking out my first one tomorrow and inserting a new one right away. I think I've used it correctly so far. I inserted it on the first day of my period, and even waited an additional 7 days just to be sure it had kicked in before having sex without another form of protection. Since starting, I've had alot of nausea, diarrhea, dark brown discharge, some cramping, and extreme mood changes.

I have a few questions about the NuvaRing before I try it out: 1) Would I be getting UTI's or Yeast infections more? (I do get them very easily) 2) How do I take the NuvaRing out?? There's no string or anything attatched to it, such as a tampon has. And how far do you have to put it up? 3) Does NuvaRing make it difficult to have sex? Would he notice it? Hi Ladies... I have been on the NuvaRing for a long time. While I had the NuvaRing in I started spotting & then the spotting turned into a regular period. I know your period isn't supposed to come on until you take the NuvaRing out, but I also know you can experience some bleeding while on birth control. Nevertheless I made a doctor's appointment & found out I was pregnant.

i am using Coconut oil and is curing.can yeast infection kills sperms and another doubt is that will this yeast infection cause ectopic pregnancy or other issues for pregnancy and conceiving?I was having sweet cravings these days.is this related to yeast infection.

For OTC meds do Monistat 7 ( the 7 day cream ) and do it right before bed at night ... If you go to your doc they will proscribe you one pill that stays in your system for 7 days but does nothing for the itching at all..

I think I have a yeast infection but since it's Friday evening now my doctors office is closed. Is there anything I can do to relieve the symptoms a little until I can call my OB on Monday? If it makes a difference I'm 34 weeks pregnant.

I will of course eat yogurt and drink cranberry juice while I take them. However, that never really helps me prevent a yeast infection. So any ideas for after the fact?

I’m not sure if this is another yeast infection, or some sort of reaction I have having to my birth control, the nuvaring. I am also experiencing painful urination, feels like a uti but after drinking a lot of water, the pain subsides. I have been to the doctor multiple times and they run tests for all STDs as well as utis and vaginal problems, all the tests come back negative.
