yeast infection treatment tablets

I did as the doctor said and i was given a 3 day treatment for the yeast infection. But it wudnt go away just got worse so I went back to doctor and she gave me a weeks supply of the treatment and finally im now yeast free!!

So this is my first yeast infection-sexually active with my fiance. i first started it right before my period, and it continued afterwards so i went to my dr and got a perscription for diflucan, one pill treatment. it's been about 3 days and i'm still producing the white discharge and am very slightly itchy still but otherwise feel fine. how long does it take for the diflucan to work usually and is there anything else i can do to speed it along?

sorry guys if tmi. i got a yeast infection from a antibiotic just before i fell pregnant and fell pregnant while treating it with canestan 7 day cream. it didnt go away and it keeps getting worse. i have used the 7 day cream about 5 times now with no help only relief from the itching and painful sex for about 2 days after i finished the treatment. i have had it my entire pregnancy and im 18 weeks now.

I would guess it is an yeast infection. I have heard some people say the one day treatment doesn't work. Yogurt helps, but I don't think it will make it go away unless you do a tampon of yogurt. You can look up home remidies(spelling) for yeast infections. Or try another monistat treatment.

Could this cause a yeast infection so bad that Diflucan is not working? I now have to go to a specialist. Im a hypochondriac but I just wan to know what's wrong with me already! Please help! If this infact just yeast why won't it go away!? And how will the specialists get it to go away since the the Diflucan isn't working. I've also taken flagyl which says no trich and no vaganoisis please help?

I think I still have it. I also think I have a vaginal yeast infection. I do not have insurance as of right now. I was wondering if it would be okay to take the tablets now and use monistat for the vaginal yeast infection at the same time.

Go to the gynecologist. Did they do any testing before prescribing you the meds? I had a very severe yeast infection after my honeymoon and just went to an urgent care and it took forever to clear up. My obgyn told me later I should have come in and they would have tested me first to make sure that's even what it was and could tell how severe it was. He told me I should always go to an obgyn first because a general practitioner is just assuming that's what it is.
