11814884 tn?1424233874 I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. My tongue and mouth were extremely sore and felt burned for a week after I started taking Flagyll...the third of four antibiotics that have been phased into my treatment. I do think it relates to yeast unfortunately. I have been lucky enough to not experience a 'typical' yeast infection during my 4 months of treatment but I experienced the same soreness and burning vaginally a couple weeks after my mouth stopped burning.
Avatar f tn A yeast infection is when the yeast in the vagina, mouth or skin grows out of control so it causes redness and itching. A vaginal yeast infection is usually triggered after the person takes antibiotics, as they also kill good bacteria in the vagina that normally controls the yeast numbers. Natural yogurt with no sugar is the best treatment for it as if contains the bacteria bactillophillus adicophillus (spelling) which feeds on the yeast and regains that natural balance. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn I have thrush and a yeast infection. I have treatment for both from the dr. Can I treat both at the same time?. I have mouth wash type stuff to swallow for thrush and have to put a tube of cream up there for 10 days every night. Can I do both at the same time? They didnt say.
Avatar m tn t mention in the herpes forum. You might have an oral yeast infection triggered by the doxycycline. Stop taking it immediately and see the doc who prescribed it.
Avatar f tn I have never heard of a yeast infection being linked to preterm labour, but I am not a Dr. either so I certainly don't know that for sure. I do know you shouldn't just ignore it, nor should you try to treat it yourself with an over the counter remedy. You should see your Dr. I don't know it this applied to yeast infections, but I do know that small issues can be bigger problems during pregnancy and your Dr. is the best person to diagnose and treat you appropriately.
Avatar n tn No really recommended, but it helps eating plain yogurt or even apply it external helps treating yeast (candida) infection. Diflucan/Fluconazole is still your best bet. Plain Yogurt is the super sour tasting one with no sugar. Sugar helps those bacterias to grow, so stay away from the sweet stuff..

Avatar f tn I went to the gynecologist and he said I had a yeast infection, he prescribed some antifungal, I did not follow the treatment as prescribed because I got menstruation and after a few months it came back. Another doctor told me I still have the yeast infection but to also test for herpes virus. I am confused because although my boyfriend has cold sores in his mouth we are very careful about that.
Avatar m tn what is normal yeast in the mouth, isn't always so normal in the genital area. we also always have yeast on our bodies and it's easy for it to over grow and cause things like jock itch too. no way to know if you got it from oral sex with someone or if it happened on its own.
Avatar f tn continuation of symptoms may call for a second round of treatment. Visit the doctor to make sure a yeast infection was the proper diagnosis. Yeast infections are normal occurrences in woman.
Avatar f tn However, this evening I noticed some warning signs, and sure enough I have two or more blisters forming around my mouth and one blister in my genitals. (I was diagnosed with HSV 1 of the mouth and genitals). Why did I get an outbreak when I'm already on the outbreak medicine? How common is this occurence?
Avatar f tn t have fluconazole or diflucan as the yeast (Candida albicans) that most causes a vaginal infection is often resistant to this antifungal. Terbinafin is a good ingredient if there is one without azole at the end. Obviously, it is not good to have a persistant infection as it is not only irritating but may lower your immune system and if you got a break in the skin where you bleed it could potentially get into the blood stream (which would be dangerous).
Avatar n tn Did you see your Doctor for this ? Who diagnosed the fungal infection ? Dry mouth could be just.....dry mouth. Give us more information to help us answer your question. Take care.
Avatar f tn my study nurse told me to use tinactin for the corners of my mouth. it really worked. good luck to you.
Avatar f tn you have a yeast infection, you can get an over the counter treatment, however I would go and see you doctor.
Avatar f tn Various reasons for recurrent or persistent fungal infection are incomplete treatment treatment resistance, co-existing dermatitis, diabetes and low immunity. Diagnosis can be confirmed only after pelvic examination and swab samples of the discharge and cervix swabs. Treatment depends on the same. So please consult a gynecologist and get yourself evaluated. I hope it helps.
Avatar f tn It's confirmed that I have a yeast infection, so I went to Walgreens and bought Monistat 1 a (one day treatment) its the one with the ovule insert. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I'm kind of nervous to use this product I have many questions like will it work?, can it harm my baby?
