Avatar n tn I havent begun treatment yet because Im not convinced that I have a yeast infection... Could my dr have been wrong? If she wasnt, how will I tell when its gone if I have no noticeable symptoms?
Avatar n tn did they properly test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally or just do a looksee and decide it wasn't vaginitis? this could even be a reaction to a product you use during your period. even if it's one you've been using for years, they constantly change their ingredients.
938326 tn?1300878804 which was the 7 day cream inserts and he had said to try and wait it out as long as I could. Anyone have had yeast infections and what did you dr. reccomend? I am 12 weeks 3 days lmp and 13 weeks via ultrasound.

Avatar f tn that is strange...but like i said, the yeast infection treatment didnt seem to realy help much, the cottage cheese discharge has let up a bit but it is still there, and as far as the smell there is no change...do you think i should wait for my period and see if that flushes all this out or should i make a trip to my gyno.

Avatar f tn My biggest issue is the painful sex, my boyfriend and I never had trouble before I got my yeast infection and now i feel like a virgin again, it is the worst. I am really running out of answers now. My Dr. is trying to get me to go on to a 6 month treatment of some pill and it just sounds awful and seems like it will be just another thing that won't work. Any answers or suggestions will be really appreciated.
Avatar f tn I have had about 4 this year and everytime i go back to the doctor i get the same medicine which leads to a yeast infection which i cure with monistat to only get a bacterial infection and the cycle continues. This time my doctor prescribed me a pill to take for the yeast infection i got after the antibiotics. I feel like its a vicious cycle and Im really concerned what do you think is causing this?
Avatar f tn Various reasons for recurrent or persistent fungal infection are incomplete treatment treatment resistance, co-existing dermatitis, diabetes and low immunity. Diagnosis can be confirmed only after pelvic examination and swab samples of the discharge and cervix swabs. Treatment depends on the same. So please consult a gynecologist and get yourself evaluated. I hope it helps.
Avatar f tn For the past three and a half months I've had a burning and itching feeling on my labia area. At first I thought I had a yeast infection so I called my Dr and they called me a rx for diflucan. Helped a lil but a few days later it came back. I have no discharge, odor, rash or pain. It doesn't burn when I urinate either. I went to the Dr after symptoms didn't go away. They tested me for all stds, yeast, BC tricahomas, ect. All came back negative.
Avatar f tn Hi all, I will be 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I am dealing with a nagging yeast infection. It started back in late January and I had to do 2 treatments of Monistat (1 day treatment) and it went away for awhile and then it came this month...and it goes up and down. Its like at certain times of day I'm really itchy and then I'll go a few days with nothing. My discharge is kind of watery, not thick at all. I'm worried about BV.
Avatar f tn It's confirmed that I have a yeast infection, so I went to Walgreens and bought Monistat 1 a (one day treatment) its the one with the ovule insert. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I'm kind of nervous to use this product I have many questions like will it work?, can it harm my baby?
689655 tn?1227249113 So I've had recurring yeast infections for a while now. I seriously get one every month. Sometimes it seems as if the only time I don't have even a slight infection, is when I'm on my period. My doctor prescribed fluconazole. She told me to take one pill each week for 6 months. The prescription information states that I should see results within 3-5 days. It has been 2 weeks now and just as I thought it was completely cleared up, it seems to be returning just slightly again.

Or should i let the antifungal cream work it's ways out of my vaginal canal. I am scheduled to be induced in 3 days now. Sorry it's so long! Please help!
Avatar f tn I did as the doctor said and i was given a 3 day treatment for the yeast infection. But it wudnt go away just got worse so I went back to doctor and she gave me a weeks supply of the treatment and finally im now yeast free!!
Avatar f tn Very worried, I went to the doctor and she examined and said it was a yeast infection, she did a swab, and I have heard nothing back. She told me to get the canesten 3 day duo pack. I was finished this treatment on wednesday, and then over the weekend I started to feel some discomfort and a bit of itching down there, only closer to the opening of the vagina now. It's not sore, and I never had a lot of discharge, but it just doesn't feel normal.
Avatar f tn I googled the solution and i found that this means a yeast infection and the treatment is diflucan 150 so i took it once, the discharge disappeared for 2 days and then came back. But i also read that if it's a yeast infection then i should feel itchy all the time. So, is that a yeast infection or what? and what is the solution??
Avatar f tn I spoke with a friend, who is also an emergency room nurse once about yeast infection treatment and she said don't buy the 1 day or the 3 day treatments. If you try to take care if it on your own, without going to the doctor, buy the 7 day stuff. Just a suggestion. Sounds like a yeast infection. Some are more obvious than others, but your description seems pretty clear. Take care.
