My daughter has been admitted to the hospital. She has a bad yeast infection. Her MS is progessive. Her hand has bad pressure sores because of the extreme pressure in her left side. The wound care team has been called to help with her treatment. She has pressure a sore on her tail bone. The rash is around and through her groin area. Just would like so input about this problem. Les is very thin for a women that is 5'7". She is having alot of pain.
Wow, why would you use cortisone regularly? The rash is probably from sweating. Do you shower regularly? Using some corn starch there to prevent the sweating that is probably causing your problem in the armpits might save you some problems, as cortisone can cause a lot of problems. Mainly, at least in this post, you don't say why you think you have a yeast infection. Not to say it never happens, but men don't usually get them.
Sweetie, why the dramatic thoughts over a yeast infection? Every single woman on the face of the planet gets one from time to time. Men do too! Yep, they can get yeast and fungal issues just like we can. Babies get them!!! It's just a shift in your ph that causes an overgrowth of yeast. You can get them in your vagina, your mouth, etc. NOT a big deal. Not related to sex or being sexual. We can get them from taking antibiotics even. Really, not a big deal.
See a doctor it could be a STD the symptoms from a yeast infection are the same as some STD I thought.
Looked down and the head of my penis was covered with this white cottage cheese like and it had a strong oder. I've been taking Keflex and Prednisone for an ear infection that I've had for 2 months (this is my 3rd antibiotic in the last 2 months) and I have developed a very red rash starting right below the opening of my vagina, the skin beside it(kinda the start of my ver inner butt cheek), all the way up to my anus. The rash is itchy and sore (esp on my anus). It looks like a severe diaper rash. I've seen this type of rash on a friends child who had an external yeast infection.
sometimes it takes longer than week for the rash to go away too. i f the rash isn't gone in another week, return to be seen again.
About 3 weeks or so after stopping antibiotics (Amoxicillin and Biaxin) I developed a flat, red, and sometimes itchy rash on both breasts and my stomach. Sometimes I get shooting pains in my breasts. A somewhat unusual or unexpected strep infection is perianal disease. This presents as an intensely red rash around the anus, which is usually mistaken for a yeast infection (Candida). However, antifungal medications such as nystatin cream are useless. The rash disappears promptly with oral penicillin or erythromycin treatment. Intertrigo, infection of moist crease areas, is most often due to Candida albicans (yeast) infection. It may however be caused by Group A Streptococcus, as well.
It is difficult to diagnose a rash on net. This could be an eczema, dermatitis, sweat dermatitis, fungal infection, infection with stool, poor hygiene causing infection. If you have diabetes then this needs to be investigated as it can result in skin problems. After a course of antibiotics also it is possible to get both bacterial and fungal infection of skin. However it cannot be an allergic reaction to the antibiotic as that would be more general.

I'm experiencing burning & extreme internal itching. It started 3 days ago. I've had a yeast infection once before in high school & it was AWFUL! I'm terrified of experiencing that again so I took the monistat 1 day last night and woke up this morning & it feels about the same. Swelling and painful itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Frequent urination with pain could be a bladder infection. The rash later that day could have been an allergic reaction caused by lubricants (even water based can give people an allergic reaction) or condoms (although it doesn't sound like you used one?). There are even odd cases of women being allergic to a man's sperm. If your partner has a sexual history or any known STDs or STD symptoms you should probably get checked.

My wife had a yeast infection. She used Monistat-7 and her symptoms went away. We had sex. The next day (and for about 5 days after) the glans (head) of my penis and the frenulum area (under the ridge of the glans) had a red rash that was mildly itchy and rather sensitive. It went away on its own. We had sex again, and a few days later my wife had symptoms of her yeast infection back.
