yeast-infection

Avatar n tn My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin, spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.
Avatar f tn t balanced yet, and even the smallest yeast on the breast or bottles can cause an overgrowth and thus a yeast infection, even if the amount of yeast on your breast or on the bottles isn't enough to be noticeable. Don't give a newborn probiotics; your best bet is to talk to your child's pediatrician. I wouldn't wait...thrush can become itchy or even painful and interfere with eating. Since you're doing that...I wouldn't worry.
Avatar n tn If your newborn has blood spots in her diaper, please do not wait to see the Dr. Chances are it's a simple explanation, but this should absolutely be investigated right away. It is important she be seen right away.
Avatar m tn Hi there. Being a virgin doesn't change anything with yeast infections. Newborn babies can get yeast infections. The way a doctor checks for yeast is to take a swab of the discharge. It's easy to do and not very invasive. Then you'll be given either a pill to take for it or told to do the over the counter meds to treat it.
Avatar n tn Candida albicans. However, we were told thrush is commomly found in newborns, infants and the elderly. Only a doctor can tell you if your nine-year old son has it. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Absolutely! Yeast infections have nothing to do with you being a virgin or not. Even newborn babies get yeast infections, so don't worry. Yeast likes moist, dark places, and all women, regardless if we are virgins, short, tall, skinny, fat, white, black, purple, all woman have moist, dark places. A yeast infection is caused by Candida Albicans. We all have it present in our vaginas in small amounts, but sometimes they grow like crazy, and that is when we get a yeast infection....

Avatar n tn I understand that you are scared, but for the benefit of your baby and yourself, you need to believe those you tell you that you are not infectious to your newborn. HSV 2 is a sexually transmitted infection, not transmitted through touch. Please - take off your gloves, leave them off, and touch your baby fully and with love. If you have outbreaks, just wash your hands after using the restroom, and touch your baby normally.
Avatar f tn I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I've had a couple bacterial infections and recently I've noticed some little white bumps in the vaginal area. I was wondering if this could be from the bacterial infection? Or if it could be from a yeast infection? I have an appointment tomorrow but it's really worrying me and I was just looking for some answers.
Avatar f tn I am now 36 weeks and have my 3rd yeast infection and have had one uti since I hit my 3rd trimester. I am so tired of getting infections. It just want to cry about it but I know it won't change anything.
Avatar f tn Did your MD state you had an yeast infection or just an infection and not tell you what type? Did you MD tell you to treat it? According to a website: "it's tricky to tell when men have yeast infections, because they can have a penile yeast infection without having symptoms. when they do have symptoms, it can be really awful; the most common symptom is irritation and soreness of the head of the penis. apparently it can itch like crazy, too.
Avatar f tn Hi there. Well, could be a yeast infection/overgrowth, yes. If you have never been diagnosed for a yeast infection, I would go the first time to your doctor to confirm. They'll help you treat it then and give you ideas why it is happening related to your period. So, yes, I'd see your doctor at this point.
Avatar f tn Im 11weeeks pregnant n im suffering from urine infection! Is anyone else on the same boat.
Avatar m tn three years ago i began experiencing a yeast infection on the shaft of my penis. Each morning i wake up i will have a yeasty-like substance on my penis head. Avatar f tn Let your OB know because many times its hard to tell the difference between bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn You could have some other type of infection. It sounds like a urinary tract infection. It may be a bacterial infection on the bumps as well. I would go in and see your doctor to have them test you to see if you have a urinary tract infection. Since it is Friday. If you are not diabetic you can drink a lot of cranberry juice and water and see if you feel better by Monday. If you don't go into the doctor.
Avatar f tn Not without takking to ur doc! My last pregnancy mine told me to use the cream on the outside but not on the inside! If it is not working they might need to put u on something else!
Avatar f tn i don't think just a yeast infection could cause a rise in your body temperature. It might be something more. I would make an appointment with your GYN just to be on the safe side.
Avatar f tn I have checked to see if I have any bumps anywhere near or on my vagina and I do not but my boyfriend has white headed bumps on his penis. Can we both have a yeast infection or is this more serious?
Avatar n tn My wife and friends work at a pool and they get yeast infections a lot. And anyhow it is literally like yeast on the va jj. It is itchy and stinking and red. if you have a blister, if not heat related it could be genital warts or herpes. I know most people on here are nervous but honestly go to a doctor and find out for real before something bad really does happen.
Avatar f tn So as for my bf, not long after I treated my yeast infection, he developed 3 small sores on the top of the crease on his penis. Not on his penis. He also noticed shedding on his penis, which he has gotten before from my yeast infection I am assuming, and went away pretty fast. He has no pain when urinating, it doesnt burn, and the sores are healing, but sometimes open up because of where they are. I have been to my doctor and told him all of this. He doesnt seem to think it is an std.
Avatar f tn Looked down and the head of my penis was covered with this white cottage cheese like and it had a strong oder. Got scared went to the doc he said it was yeast infection well almost on my 4th week and it seems to have subsided atleast thats what im hoping for. Yesterday on the head of my penis their was this patch of skinlike thing and I was able to take it of.
Avatar f tn Monistat does work I'm on day 6 on it. Mine just burned and itch. My yeast infection was on the outside and not the inside so I put the cream on the outside bc that's where it was killing me.
Avatar f tn I'm about five months pregnant, and am being treated for a yeast infection. A couple days ago I got a cauliflower like bump ans a couple of skin grafts around my vulva. It's not any yup of std/sti, but I was wondering if any other woman is experiencing them? I'm not sure if it has something to do with my infection, it doesn't hurt at all and I can't feel it. I just can't get ahold of my doctor and wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about.
Avatar m tn (married people can spread it back in forth to each other, no sex for a week or two BTW) Shower and dry (really well the infected area, then apply cream and make sure it drys a little then go on your way. You can usually tell if its a yeast infection if you have a weird smell from your groin area, but not always. Jock itch is very common. Usually from the gym shower or equipment (ie football pads etc) This is treated the same way just get jock itch spray.
