You might want to check about "thrush" or "Candidis" which is a yeast infection that you might have in your mouth and throat. This is not uncommon in diabetics.

Hi If you were my patient, I would advise you to that the discharge you are having is likely to be due to a yeast infection. Yeast infections are very common, especially after taking antibiotics. I would suggest trying one of the over the counter medications such as Vagistat to see if that would help. If not, you will probably need to be seen by your doctor. I would be concerned that your pain might represent the beginning of endometriosis.

You may want to get it tested again to confirm that it is indeed another yeast infection. If it is not, constantly using OTC yeast infection treatments may actually worsen the problem by throwing off your natural bacterial balance that exists.

BV isn't an std but just passed the same way. Basically if you have the bacteria, your partner would pick it up from you and have it on him. Then reinfect you with that same bacteria. But it isn't an STD. :>) Typically the medication given isn't the same as for a yeast infection. Yeast is actually a fungal infection which is different than bacteria. With bacteria, the medication is a pill and does have things to know about when taking it.
