Common Questions and Answers about Yeast infection men acne

yeast-infection

Avatar m tn Thanks for the reply. I did a quick research over the internet on yeast and fungal infection. It looks like i'm more likely to have yeast infection than fungal infection. I read in a few sites that some over the counter remedy for yeast infection for woman will work on men. I will try some of those and see if it works and hopefully it does. if not then ill have to see a doctor about it. In a way, I guess its better than having fungal infection.
Avatar f tn is gone, but in their place has come a strong odor (there was no odor during the actuall yeast infection!). Is it simply a sign that I have not fully gotten rid of the yeast infection? Or something more serious?!?
Avatar m tn t know if this is dermatitis or a yeast infection. There are no blisters or pussing or anything like that. It is itchy off and on. It looks very similiar to when I had dermatitis on my hand before. I still have some Fluocinonide Ointment .05%. Would it be ok to use this on my penis? I am on Amoxicillin right now for my acne. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I am not currently sexually active. I use KY Warming Liquid when I am with myself.
Avatar f tn ve spent the last year reading extensively), using acne normal acne treatments will make your acne worse if it is indeed yeast and not bacteria causing it. So if I was you, I would discuss the risks of exacerbating your breakout with your dermatologist who should instruct you to refrain from using products designed for acne vulgaris (as most skin professionals concur with it doing more harm than good if it's Malassezia responsible and NOT bacteria).
Avatar f tn Can my boyriend also have yeast infection? he has no symptoms.. but if he doesnt get treatment will he then pass it back to me when i am cured??
Avatar n tn You can get a bacterial infection from having sex with someone who has one or just from having poor hygiene in general. What type of bacterial infection do you mean?
Avatar f tn ve used these natural homeopathic pills called AZO YEAST, I was really skeptic before taking them and I had a horrible yeast infection and I took 3 each day and the Yeast infection cleared up in like 3 days. Not to advertise these pills but they are AWESOME. Now every time that I feel like I might get a yeast infection I take one and it doesn't happen. I also some times take one after sex if I get too irritated down there and it helps to heal faster.
Avatar n tn Hi this isn't really about a hysterectomy... but I couldn't find a related category. I currently am having pain in my vagina. Ive had a yeast infeciton before and I don't think this is one. There is no white discahrgy stuff but it's really red and irritated. It burns to pee and it's uncomfortable. It kinda hurts and I tried having sex and it hurt. It all started after my last pack of birth contorl pills. I normally on my pill have a 3 day period.
Avatar m tn Masturbation seems to irritate and make it worse, especially with lubrications. I have had this for years, but seems to be worse lately. Would this be a yeast infection? I am single but always use a condom if I have sex.
Avatar f tn Thank you so much for the info Redilma! He did wear a condom during sex btw but I have another question. Since I don't have any symptoms at all, when I use the creams and the tablets, how will I know I treated the yeast infection and it actually went away. To be honest I don't even know if I have a yeast infection. It has been two weeks since we had sex. I feel perfect and everything looks fine too. Is it possible to have a vaginal yeast infection and not have any symptoms?
Avatar f tn eating yogurt is helpful with yeast infections. Are you taking any antibiotics, perhaps for acne? They can cause yeast infections. Also oral sex can cause yeast infections if your partners mouth has a high population of yeast. The pH of your vagina may be off as well. Vagisil has an over the counter screening kit to test pH. If you have only tried over the counter stuff for your infections you need to go see a doctor to get it straightened out! Good luck!
Avatar n tn Hi, This could be due to acne/imples/ or infection of the hair follicles called folliculitis or some bacterial infection/ fungal infction or some skin nodules etc. Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions. It would be best to reconsult your doctor about your symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination. Keep the area clean and wear clothes washed in a few drops of chlorhexidine preferably and dried in the sun.
1394601 tn?1328032308 Vagisil is not a great solution for a yeast infection. The source of the yeast is the bowel which has an overgrowth of yeast with the antibiotic knocking the good beneficial bacteria out of balance and allowing the yeast to overgrow. So, Vagisil alone can't keep the area from continually being re-inoculated.
Avatar m tn My wife has re-ocuring yeast infection. Her doc took a swab and said no STS but yeast infection keeps comming back. y wife wants to ask her doctor for a sts test but I tell her yeast and sts are not realted. Is this correct?
Avatar n tn I looked on the internet and it says there are no drugs that cure yeast infection in men ( only takes away the effects of it ). Does any qualified doctor here know if there is a !!!cure!!! here for year infection in men? I bought canesten cream but its not getting rid of it.
Avatar n tn My son seems to have candida, his partner has like terrible yeast infection, the URI came out negative. He began with irritation, blisters, rash on side of his face, anus, penis and groin area. Does Diflucan and a topical cream solve his problem?
Avatar f tn You may want to get it tested again to confirm that it is indeed another yeast infection. If it is not, constantly using OTC yeast infection treatments may actually worsen the problem by throwing off your natural bacterial balance that exists.
Avatar n tn BV isn't an std but just passed the same way. Basically if you have the bacteria, your partner would pick it up from you and have it on him. Then reinfect you with that same bacteria. But it isn't an STD. :>) Typically the medication given isn't the same as for a yeast infection. Yeast is actually a fungal infection which is different than bacteria. With bacteria, the medication is a pill and does have things to know about when taking it.
