Avatar f tn How do you tell the difference between a urinary tract infection and yeast infectiy?
Avatar n tn an urinary tract infection, vaginal infection, or an infection of the skin of the perivulvar area. The infection could be bacterial, yeast, or a combination. Usually urinary tract infections are accompanied by the symptoms of increased frequency of urination, and/or drinking, dribbling, or inappropriate urination. However, occasionally the only symptom is licking the vulvar area.
Avatar f tn You could have some other type of infection. It sounds like a urinary tract infection. It may be a bacterial infection on the bumps as well. I would go in and see your doctor to have them test you to see if you have a urinary tract infection. Since it is Friday. If you are not diabetic you can drink a lot of cranberry juice and water and see if you feel better by Monday. If you don't go into the doctor.
4251679 tn?1370305531 UTIs are exactly what their name describes. and infection in your urinary tract. its not in your vagina, however, ive always been told not to have sex while you have one because sex could be the cause of it. and its best to make sure its all better before introducing even more bacteria. Ive never heard of it being contagious, and dont think that it is, but ask your doctor. and ive also never had a cream to use, so im not sure what thats for.
Avatar f tn 2 days after that my urinary tract was painful and itchy but no discharge. 1 week after that a sore rash appeared on my testicles and in the groin appeared a house like filled with fluid on the right and left thighs and groin. what symptom is this? Do I have a sexually transmitted infection?
Avatar f tn If you have an unresolved yeast infection, it can also cause some blood to appear in your urine. An underlying urinary tract problem (example: urinary stones) can also cause that kind of bleeding, and predisposes you to have recurrent infection, so I really think you need to have a more thorough urinary tract work-up done.
Avatar f tn My doc/midwife just diagnosed me with a urinary tract infection :( and now I'm a little worried about pre-term labor, i guess my question would be has anyone been diagnosed with same thing, if so what was your experience?
Avatar f tn ve had a UTI for 3 weeks now and been on 3 different antibiotics trying to get rid of it. Can you tell me if you can get a yeast infection in you urinary tract? Also, would a yeast infection cause a slightly high temp. or is it only possible for your temp. to be elavated with a bacterial infection?
Avatar f tn t test for a urinary tract infection at first despite my complaints. So I believe I went weeks with a urinary tract infection that should have been diagnosed early in my treatment. So I would insist on having a urinalysis too if you are experiencing painful urination. Your doctor will probably request that test, but if not I would insist upon it. I wish I had. Good luck. Don't wait too much longer since a UTI could move up to the kidney and cause complications.
Avatar f tn coli infection was taken care of by the cipro, but another more persistent infection like a yeast infection or urinary tract MRSA (methecillin resistant stapholococcus aureus) has taken its place. Perhaps a different antibiotic like erythromycin, or one of its family would work better. I hope this helps...
Avatar f tn You could have a yeast infection, go get checked.
Avatar f tn It sounds like a urinary tract infection. You should see your Dr for treatment. I hope you feel better soon. Take care.
Avatar m tn Acineobactor is simply a bacteria they found in your urine...which for a urinary tract infection---this type of bacteria is becoming more common. It has NOTHING to do with HIV!
Avatar m tn The presence of white blood cells (WBCs) and red blood cells (RBCs) in the urine can be due to many, many different causes. These causes can include STDs, urinary tract infection and other systemic infections. They can also be there from many things other than infection. In fact, a common cause of the presence of cells in the urine is vigorous exercise and many runners have this finding. If this is a concern, you doctor will do tests.
Avatar n tn Hi, I can understand your situation. Urinary tract infections are common in children. The usual approach is to treat the child first and obtain imaging studies of the urinary tract. Following birth, heavy colonisation with aerobic bacteria normally becomes established in both sexes. Because of the shorter length of the urethra in females there is a greater chance of getting urinary tract infection due to contamination from the anus.
Avatar f tn Sounds like a urinary tract infection or yeast infection...
Avatar f tn Sounds like UTI or yeast infection. Try getting a DIY yeast infection kit from the pharmacy.
Avatar f tn m not a doctor but it sounds to me like you got a yeast infection from the antibiotics for the urinary tract infection. A lot of doctors recommend eating yogurt while on antibiotics so you don't get yeast infections. You might want to try eating it now perhaps it will help. If you do you need to make sure it's yogurt with live bacteria. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn If it were a UTI, then symptoms would be in the urinary tract - not the vagina. Is it possible that your husbands hands were dirty when he fingered you? Any sort of food or dirt left in your vagina might have upset its balance, triggering a yeast infection (I don't know if any bacterial infections cause the itchiness you're describing). You could either see a doctor for a proper diagnosis, or try any yeast infection kit to see if that gets things back to normal.
Avatar m tn hello all.....so the last several times my GF and i have had sex she has developed what she is calling a yeast infection about a week after....redness, " raw " feeling very minor discharge. the last time it responded and cleared up after about 2 days of otc treatment for yeast. she asks if i have any trouble with me...i have some minor testicular pain and thats about it. i have had other questions answered on other forums related to stds and don't think that is an issue...

Avatar n tn It could be a urinary tract infection - those are really common during pregnancy. Your doc can schedule a urine test to check for that, and prescribe antibiotics that are safe to take while pregnant.
214607 tn?1287677559 If you are on antibiotics be sure you are eating alot of probiotic yogurt or taking acidophillus. Antibiotics kill the good bacteria. This may result in a yeast infection. Try prevent getting a yeast infection as they are just as uncomfortable if not worse.
Avatar n tn The infection can move up to your kidneys quite quickly. Urinary tract infection is not serious in females, but in males it is.
