I am 31 weeks pregnant and I have a terrible yeast infection in between my breasts..my doctor has told me to use hydrocortisone cream to get rid of it and it works for about 2 days then comes back..then she prescribed me this powder too use and that isn't helping at all either..now I've just been putting on baby powder..has anyone else ever gotten a yeast infection there? If so what did you use too get rid of it?
This sounds like a yeast infection in that particular breast. Cottage-cheese-like discharge is consistent with the overproduction of yeast in an area of the body. You may need anti-fungal medication, like Nystatin, to help get the yeast under control. If you don't, the infection can spread and become systemic, which isn't good. This takes some time, though, so get to a doctor as soon as possible for an evaluation.
Syphilis takes 6 weeks for a conclusive result and herpes takes 4 months. Without you having symptoms I doubt that you have an STD. Your wife might have a yeast infection.

But now I have this burning feeling in my breast and read that it could be a yeast infection. It just started yesterday and today I decided to stop feeding him by my breast and just pump. I'm boiling all bottle and pump supplies for 20min. Do I need to see a doctor or can I get rid of it on my own since it just started? Or is it something else and I'm just freaking out?

I have similar symptoms - have a tickly itch only in one nipple/areola. It feels like it is INSIDE the breast, not on the surface. Is that what you had? Have your symptoms gone with the antifungal treatment?
It seems to get worse after a warm shower or bath - particularly after baths

after realilzing it, I made an appointment and I was given a cream to treat the possibility of a yeast infection on my breast. I was also sent immediately for a mammogram(i am only 34) and am seeing a breast surgeon next week. the mammogram was clear and the cream has helped some however in my research I cannot find anything about yeast infections without breastfeeding. Is it possible to have a yeast infection on the breast without being pregnant or having a baby?
I was checked just last week and was clear for bladder infection. so I m thinking yeast infection,. Been on cipro. But yeast medicine not helping and it feels to swollen to use applicator for yeast treatment. Extremely painful. I can't even get the applicator in. I am through with breast cancer treatment. Finished in October 2006. Finished radiation January 2007. Been on tamoxefin. I am a two year survivor of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage IIIA. someone please help me out here.
I suffered many yeast infections and tried everything then someone suggested to me grape seed extract (aka travellers friend) which gets rid of it within a day and is natural. Its pretty gross, you need to have like 3 drops in a glass of water and its horribly bitter but really worth it!
My mother in law has multiple clusters of itchy bumps with white heads under her breast, in some areas they are smaller and closer together and in others they are larger and further apart. The itch is unbearable and is effecting the skin under where her breast lays and her breast itself on the underside of it.
Since November, I have had no new genital outbreaks, but starting in December I had 4 coldsores in a row, and I just healed my last one 2 days ago. Lol what you were describing almost sounded like a yeast infection which can cause the itchy, peeling, ect but it'll have a smell lol easily taken care of though lol corn starch or talc like above should help :-)
I am not sure if you have some Yeast overgrowth ...one easy treatment is to avoid all foods and breads with yeast, sugar and cheeses. Drink pure milk, pure juices and fresh fruits...no grapes or grape juice for a month at least.
to drink fill up a glass with ice and put in some water ..this is what you should drink at least 9 times a day.
If feeling better, it probably was the yeast infection ..will need at least 6 months of above dietary restrictions.

Have had a chronic yeast infection since I was a small child. I know it’s a yeast infection because I just had a yearly exam. Im seeing very minimal results from the medication. I’ve always had a yeast infection rash throughout my vulva and it just won’t go away it’s even spread to under my breast. I’m so tired of being in pain all the time don’t know what to do. The medicine never works and it seems like I get no relief. What do I do from here?
You can get a bacterial infection from having sex with someone who has one or just from having poor hygiene in general. What type of bacterial infection do you mean?

The best advice I could give you is to tell your mom to make an appointment to see a dermatologist.This sounds like a yeast infection and it should be treated.Don't worry,your skin condition has nothing to do with breast cancer.
Don't use any lotion that could make things worse.. Dry your skin very well after bathing,or showering.In the meantime,you could use an anti-fungal cream until you see the doctor okay?

when I was breast feed i noticed that my son would not drink out of my right breast, he would mainly/always drink the left one. he would act like he could not get a good hold on it. now i have been off breast feeding for a year now and my right breast, the one he wouldn't drink out of, hurts to the touch on the right side of the breast. i heard the if your child wont drink out of one of your breast that it could be a sight of breast cancer.
they gave me a some pill for the yeast infection but it did nothing and i also got a yeast infection in my mouth which is cured.since it was 3 wks after exposure to anything would syphillis or hiv show up?also i started getting little red dots on my arms that kind of look like cherry angiomas but i am not quiet sure.

As for the bump on the breast, It is very common in pregnancy, I dont believe it is the yeast infection spreading, Most dr. that see it will recommend keeping the area cleaned, and if possible not confined ( like dont wear a bra if possible) If will eventually go away. It is caused by the breast filling up and preparing for milk.
