and, my mother informed me that when she used to have her period she ALWAYS had a vaginal yeast infection...could i be having the same thing but its with my nipples? the doctor also said my ducts could have clogged but ive never breast feed before...help!!!

Sometimes you can get a yeast infection on your nipples. They would be itchy and have a whitish look to them. Antibiotics can give you yeast infections... maybe that could be it...?

Have you taken an antibiotic lately? It could be a yeast infection...sometimes you can tell by the odor...it smells like yeast...and the color is white and sometimes cottage cheese like. It would also make sense that you couldn't get wet if you have a yeast infection. Antibiotics often cause these infections. It COULD be a weird discharge before your period...mine gets thicker right before...but that shouldn't have to do with you being able to get wet or even have sex.

Thanks for the help!! The only thing is that I went to my urologist last week. She did a urine culture and everything came back normal, so I'm not sure that it could still be a yeast infection. I didn't know a yeast infection could could affect my breasts!

Sounds like your baby has thrush (yeast infection in mouth) and you have caught it. Does baby have white build up in mouth, more cranky, and having a hard time staying latched? If so calk doctor they'll give you some meds to rub in babies mouth and your nipples. Nothing to stress about and worry. Just need meds.

well it could be a sign of alot of stress which is why your period is not coming and the soreness of the nipples comes with the period for most so if yours dont normally hurt then it could be because youre period is overdue. you may also have a yeast infection which can sometimes cause the period to not come.drink cranberry juice and talk to your doctor about this immediately as it could be some kind of infection.

the only way to rule out pregnancy is to take the test. With each of my pregnancies I got a yeast infection in early pregnancy.

I'm sorry, that sounds horrible :/ I know its painful, but if they're looking infected stopping breastfeeding is the worst thing you could do. If they become engorged and clogged it can make the pain 10x worse and take longer to get rid of an infection. If you haven't yet, get in contact with a lactation consultant in addition to your doc...maybe a nipple shield would help?

also have hairs on my chin,upper lip and around nipples,have itch and pain in thigh joints and skin is peeling off...do i have polycystic ovarian syndrome??? my boyfriend performed oral sex on me...can he get any infections from me??
