Avatar n tn This is my very first pregnancy and I have a yeast infection. It's milky and doesn't have an odor, but what can I take besides monistat to get rid of it? Is there pills my doctor can prescribe?
1697869 tn?1306766843 Hi, I had a UTI first trimester and had to take antibiotics and now in my second trimester had a sinus, ear and chest infection and had to take Amoxcillan again and I was reassured it was safe. So try not worry...just try and get better for your baby. Hope this helps..
Avatar n tn Did any of you had vaginal yeast infection during first trimester? My doctor perscribed me terconazole. When I got the medication inside of the package it said do not use during first trimester. I researched online and it says that some birth defects can occur.. I spoke with the nurse who said that there is not really anything safer than this medicine and leaving issue untreated can cause miscarriage (if infection gets to the uterus). I really don't know what is best deciduous here.
Avatar f tn My ob wouldn't let me use any type of medication you insert in there during the first trimester but just the cream was okay to use. But she said it's safe either way after the first trimester.
Avatar f tn I had Yeast infection in my 2nd trimester and i went to the doctor...they prescribed an over the counter cream...I got it again in my 3rd trimester...embarrass to go to doctor again but should i still go or just get the over the counter cream.... Have any of you ladies got yeast infection more than once?
Avatar f tn I got one in my first trimester I think. The 7 day monistat works the best.
Avatar f tn Yes I took antibiotics several times throughout my pregnancy and even in my first trimester. I had a serious problem with vaginosis and then yeast infections because of the antibiotics. It was a vicious circle. K-bug is a very healthy 9 month old now.
Avatar n tn I used organic coconut oil as a cream down there several times a day, then in second trimester treated both myself and my husband with prescription cream.
Avatar n tn Do you guys experience some yeast infection too?
Avatar f tn It's possible that you may have a yeast infection. I was very itchy for a while and my doc did vaginal smears that didn't show anything under the microscope. It took a few weeks for me to get the common yeast symptoms. I had to be treated two times in one month because the first med did not work.
Avatar f tn I just had a yeast infection and thank god it's over. no I believe you shouldn't take that . my Dr gave me monistat. I did not think it was going to work but it did. i only took one that i injected inside me. after a day my yeast infection is gone check with your doctor first they may have something you can try.
Avatar n tn Discharge is very normal in pregnancy, if you notice an odor or itching you need to be tested for a yeast infection or an std. And for future reference, try not to be rude to other girls on this site. It's not your place to judge or comment nasty things because you don't like some ones spelling.
Avatar f tn I also have a yeast infection and it s u c k s my ob prescribed a cream but it didnt work...try drinking cranberry juice its good for yeast infection...
Avatar n tn Anyone else experiencing yeast infections in your first trimester ? I'm 10 weeks and this is my second one. Any advice?
1054108 tn?1314298660 Has anyone was treated for bacterial vaginosis infection or yeast infection during first trimester? What medicine is safe to take for treating these two infections during 12w of pregnancy? My OB has prescribed me fluconazole 150 mg (one tablet only) for yeast infection and metronidazole 500 mg (to take for seven days) to treat bacterial vagnosis infection. She said it is safe however I am still hesitating. Please I need your advices.
Avatar f tn then if it is still bad use the internal. For my second son, they let me use monistste in my first trimester. If you do not feel right using it, and you can bare the itching, try the cream from the monistste, that you externally use to supress the itching.
Avatar f tn Hello ladies! I'm 13weeks 6 days and have a yeast infection, I called my midwife and she didn't seem to concerned but just said any otc medication is fine to use but I'm still really paranoid about possibly harming my baby!!! Anyway I picked up monistat 1 but have yet to use it and was hoping to get reasurrence from another mommy to be that used monistat 1 to treat her yeast infection!
Avatar f tn High fiber diet because you will get constipation at some point lol The first trimester is that worst so just stay positive and get lots of rest!
Avatar f tn Let your OB know because many times its hard to tell the difference between bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear that. Monistat is probably the only med they recommend for yeast infection during pregnancy. Can't your doc prescribe something?? How long can you go on like this? Good luck to you. I hope it goes away!
Avatar f tn Very common during the entire pregnancy. I had 3 in a row before getting a yeast infection when I was pregnant with my daughter and I was in my third trimester. I was on meds for a while and my baby was fine. You can try drinking cranberry juice from now on to keep it from reoccurring but it doesn't get rid of them. And make sure you go to the bathroom often and drink lots of liquids all the time.
Avatar f tn Yeah those are worst! I hope you're doing better by now. Still not an easy pregnancy for me but I'm about to go into my second trimester next week and hope things get a little better. Does it get any better?!
Avatar n tn I read the precautions and it says not to take in the 1st trimester. I am concerned because I am in a lot of pain from the yeast infection and I don't want it to harm the baby, but I don't want the prescription to cause birth defects either. Please help.
Avatar f tn Okay I know the symptoms and know its a yeast infection. Couldn't contact my doctor to make sure it was okay to take it. Did you ever let your doctor know?
