im 28 rys old, female and married. i've been suffering a yeast infection for almost 2 months now due to antibiotics. first the doctor gave me 7 day vaginal cream clotrimazole. But then, i still have the burning sensation after 7 days treatment. so i went to another doctor, and she gave me diflucan 150mg one pill only.i took it for the past 7 days. she said i would not have sex for 1 week. it will remains in my body for many days. but how come, i still have the burning sensation?

Hi, I just learned a few days ago that I had a yeast infection, and originally I was very scared because I didn't think they were as common as they seem to be and I didn't know what to do. In addition, as an athlete, between the moisture associated with working out, swimming, showers, etc, your risk is increased as yeast infection are more common in situations and areas which are moist. Finally, just to make things even a little bit worse, because you have had multiple yeast infections, OTC medications for yeast may not work because of resistance evolving out of prior treatment.
The herpes issue is separate. there is nothing in your history to suggest you have herpes.

Foul odors in pet's ears are either yeast or bacterial infection or a combination of both. Much of the time ear infections are secondary to environmental or food allergies, or swimming.
It would be best to have his ears checked by a vet who can perform a cytology, and/or a culture and sensitivity on the ear discharge.
I got my first yeast infection July 11,2015 and i've kept having on ever since. In the first months, the burning was there the whole time and after that I could use yeast infection medicine to help banish the symptoms, but they always come back. Sometimes I'll go to the doctor and there will only be a little yeast, sometimes it will be Bv and Yeast( no very freq.).
Samples were obtained from my foot and upper right arm, result was NO yeast and NO fungal elements were detected. Not sure if it is because I used the prescribed Ciclopirix cream this morning. I am traveling for work and cannot see a dermatologist until next Friday 9-20. What do you think it could be and what should treatment should I try please? Thank you!

About 8 days ago I took Monistat 1 because I believed I had a yeast infection (I did not go to a doctor). I was itchy and it burned like crazy like I expected but after the first day I was totally fine. However, I started to leak the white clumpy discharge which I figured was the little egg thing I put inside of me. Well it stopped leaking and my partner and I thought it was safe since its been over a week to have sex.

For the first couple days I couldn't even walk, and now I walk like a pregnant woman. I just want to know if those symptoms are symptoms for a yeast infection? I'm scared.
If you are too embarrassed to do this with your family doctor, ask her if she can make an appointment with a woman doctor for you, or a woman ob-gyn. Tell your mom that you think it is just a yeast infection, but that you would feel better if a doctor told you that versus just making the assumption and trying home treatment.

Vaginal discharge and itching can be due to vaginal yeast infection for which I suggest you to get KOH examination of the discharge done.
The burning and painful pee are pretty characteristic of a vaginal, bladder or yeast infection I think even some STDs come with those symptoms. I'd suggest seeing a Dr. asap and laying off of sex, tampons, swimming and baths until you know whether or not you have an infection. (I have read that baths can aggravate yeast infections, so I assume swimming can be just as bad.
By what it seems it may be a yeast infection. The cause of it may be because you may be wearing the wrong underwear, may be the wrong laundry detergent. Also if you are sexually active it might be the lube on the condom causing it. For sure though you need to see a doctor, wheather its with your mom or not!

My symptoms started after I had been swimming a lot in a quarry. I had external vulval redness and vulval/anal itching, tingling, discomfort. No discharge that I noticed.
I let the infection go for 6 weeks before seeing a Gyn.
I highly doubt it is a yeast infection. It's white-ish yellow, has some chunks, it does not smell any different than normal, and my vagina/vulva does not itch. It's not a really thick substance, either. It's more less just quite a bit that comes out at once (not a whole lot, but more than I can think normal)
I'm a 16 year old virgin. What could this be? Just part of my cycle, and the vagina is cleaning itself out? Or could this be an infection?
