1216354 tn?1266466623 Hi, type to visit your gyne, you might have a urinary tract infection or yeast infection, which is quite common, but until you get yourself checked and evaluated by a professional, I would abstain from sexual intercourse to avoid transmitting a possible infection to your partner. Usually, when you urinate and you experience pain, it could be just a mild infection. Antibotics will take care of it. Good luck.
Avatar f tn All of a sudden I developed this itch during my menstrual cycle. At first, I thought it was a yeast infection but 7 days into my cycle the itch was still there so I went to the hospital. The doctors did a urinalysis to check for any infections and did not find anything. Instead they diagnosed me with anogenital puritus and told me to pick up difflucan. What in the world is Anogenital puritus? I am going to the gyno for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn Hello! I have been experiencing some vaginal burning during my menstrual, but I am not sexually active! My menstrual doesn't smell bad, or have any real change in texture. I tend to get large clots and watery blood. Sometimes my vulva gets itchy, but I realized always pads were doing that to me! After I switched, no more itching. But my vagina has been burning and I think it's actually kinda dry despite having such a heavy flow! Any input would be appreciated!
Avatar f tn The second month was accompanied by a urinary tract infection.. By the time I heal up completely..its time for my menstrual cycle to begin again and the agony just repeats itself!! I hope we can find some type relief..
Avatar f tn Effects of the Menstrual Cycle - The menstrual cycle affects the vaginal environment. You may notice increased wetness and clear discharge around mid-cycle. The pH balance of the vagina fluctuates during the cycle and is the least acidic on the days just prior to and during menstruation. Infections, therefore, are most common at this time. Signs of Abnormal Discharge - Any changes in color or amount of discharge may be a sign of a vaginal infection.
Avatar f tn Here recently I have been having some issues with my menstrual cycle. I bled for 3 weeks. Stopped for a week and a half. Started again for another week. Was off for a week. And just today I started bleeding again. I have recently tested negative for all STIs. I'm not sure what is going on here. This is highly unusual.
Avatar f tn The most likely cause of your symptoms is chronic/recurrent yeast infection, or irritant vaginitis (more likely, I think). Vaginitis just means inflammation of the vaginal/vulvar area. I'm not sure if you've been examined, or have had swabs and had yeast ruled out. If it is yeast, it may be easily treated with an anti-fungal.
Avatar m tn I doubt that it is a yeast infection because I am not experiencing all those symptoms. All I feel is a little discomfort in that area when I wipe and for a short time after. It is the end of my menstrual cycle in about two days. Are the irritations related to that? Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn You may experience thick discharge during different stages of your menstrual cycle or at the beginning of pregnancy. You can freely treat white discharge as entirely natural lubrication. It keeps your vaginal tissue healthy and minimizes the friction during intercourse at the same time. Consistency and color of your vaginal discharge will change throughout the month, and it is an ordinary part of your menstrual cycle.
1386765 tn?1451164337 I got a yeast infection mid cycle, after bding. DH is having no problems, so not from him. Is there any other reason for this? Can it be that my body is just not accepting his swimmers? Thanks for any thoughts.
Avatar f tn I have had about 4 this year and everytime i go back to the doctor i get the same medicine which leads to a yeast infection which i cure with monistat to only get a bacterial infection and the cycle continues. This time my doctor prescribed me a pill to take for the yeast infection i got after the antibiotics. I feel like its a vicious cycle and Im really concerned what do you think is causing this?
4032497 tn?1363221695 Hi there, Many times vaginal discharge is absolutely normal. The amount varies and also the odor and hue depending on your menstrual cycle .Other causes of white discharge are yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis. If it is yeast infection causing discharge treat it with antifungal medications which may be inserted into the vagina in cream or gel form. Bacterial vaginosis is treated with antibiotic pills or creams. Trichomoniasis is usually treated with the drug metronidazole.
3202361 tn?1345581214 Hello, The increased discharge could be due to physiological reasons like rise of hormone level (oestrogen) which is seen- during puberty, menstrual cycle, sexual excitement, pregnancy etc. It could be also seen in poor personal hygiene, non-infective cervical lesions, uterine prolapse, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, use of contraceptive pills, onset of vaginal infection or sexually transmitted disease etc.
Avatar n tn I just had unprotected sex last week and should be getting my period soon but have not and just developed a yeast infection.. It's still too early to have signs of pregnancy right??
512442 tn?1216259500 I have all the signs of a yeast infection except pain during urination. Idk about pain during sex as we have been tired the past two days. lol. If this is a yeast infection, its my first one ever that I could recall. It weird how I start TTC and after I ovulate and all that goodness, I get this cottage cheese cm. Not pleasant but oh well.
Avatar f tn I would consult your GYN physician ASAP. This "discharge" should be cultured and id so that the appropriate medication can be prescribed.

Avatar f tn t let that freak you out. Then you can treat the yeast infection after. I would talk to your doctor about antibiotics for you and then a script for your partner to take at the same time. See if that doesn't clear it up.
Avatar n tn From personal experience yeast infection is not the cause.
Avatar f tn She could have a variety of STD's, or a simple yeast infection, and it is possible it was an end part of her normal menstrual cycle, a visit to the doctor is wise, but so long as you know that neither of you have an STD it's unlikely she contracted one, also leftover blood from her normal period could have become dislodged during sex, It is not crucial, but I recommend she see a doctor.
Avatar f tn I just stopped my menstrual cycle and noticed light cottage cheese like discharge I have no fishy smell a little red .
Avatar m tn m not sure if it will be safe for her, since women in menstrual cycle are more susceptible to infection. The hygienic towelette is just a wet tissue with some weak detergent on it and I suspect if it can kill germs effectively. Do you think this act may hurt her health? Should I warn her to take any preventive actions? Thank you for your time and help, doctor!
Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar n tn Burning, itching, could barely sit only to realize I was using scented tampons during my cycle and during my january cycle! Now Im having my period again from the stress and using pads but even they kind of bother the skin down there. It's almost like my blood is irritating my vulva! Also, to note, I had sex after my cycle and it actually got swollen.
Avatar f tn The chance of getting pregnant revolves around your ovulation cycle. You can look it up on an ovulation tracker. Put in when your periods are and it will tell you when your best/worst chance at getting pregnant is basically.
