yeast infection during birth

I'm 16 weeks and I'm suffering from a horrible yeast infection. I took 7 days of terazol and 3 days of monistat. Neither helped. Creams usually don't on me. Diflucan is the only thing that works but my dr. said he doesn't prescribe it during pregnancy. I'm so sick of it. I'm miserable. Has anyone ever taken diflucan when they were pregnant? What are the side effects to the baby?

Any has experienced yeast infection during pregnancy? Is it safe to consume Diflucan during first trimester?

Did any of you had vaginal yeast infection during first trimester? My doctor perscribed me terconazole. When I got the medication inside of the package it said do not use during first trimester. I researched online and it says that some birth defects can occur.. I spoke with the nurse who said that there is not really anything safer than this medicine and leaving issue untreated can cause miscarriage (if infection gets to the uterus). I really don't know what is best deciduous here.

I just found out I am pregnant. I am only 6 weeks along. I have a pretty bad yeast infection and I went to the doctor to get the pregnancy test done. My doctor was not able to see me because she had an emergency. She prescribed Terconazole Vaginal cream 0.8%. I read the precautions and it says not to take in the 1st trimester.

Also antibiotics can lead to yeast infections, for you and baby. If you test positive, eat lots of yogurt to help reduce that risk. Yeast infection (in your vag) just after giving birth is probably excruciating! And you can get them on your nipples too, and your baby can get a yeast infection in his/her mouth. This can cause some problems with breastfeeding, especially if you've never breastfed before!

Im 40+ weeks I am experiencing a yeast infection I know because ive had it before could this be bas for my baby? Could i still have normal birth?

Hello! I have been experiencing some vaginal burning during my menstrual, but I am not sexually active! My menstrual doesn't smell bad, or have any real change in texture. I tend to get large clots and watery blood. Sometimes my vulva gets itchy, but I realized always pads were doing that to me! After I switched, no more itching. But my vagina has been burning and I think it's actually kinda dry despite having such a heavy flow! Any input would be appreciated!

6 months back, I started using Birth control pills and since then I was getting bacterial infection and yeast infection simultaneously. Even during the intercourse, I was getting a lot of white discharge and odor ... my doctor suggested me to stop using Birth control pills. But even now, sometimes I would get that odor during intercourse and is very unpleasant for my partner. Does anyone has any suggestions?

Im on birth control (Implanon) and I know its not a yeast infection, because i tried treating it as that last month and it didnt get any better. Also, my flow has gotten different in the last months, from normal blood to a thick brown kind of smelly. It is almost like a paste instead of blood. Any suggestions?

They probably do not want the baby to come through the birth canal with an active infection, or it may be transmitted and infect the baby during birth.

hi I was wondering if I have a yeast infection I have a wire creamy think discharge and I'm burning there and I'm itchy there aswell, it becomes really painful, any one know what it is?

I suggest you get tested for STDs, bacterial vaginosis, and maybe even a yeast infection. However most bacterial infections would have been killed with whatever they gave you for the UTI. Still worth asking a dr about STD's and maybe get a vaginal swab to see if there is bacterial or yeast overgrown. Also - after you give birth and wait the recommended time please get a pap smear. It's really the only way to catch cervical cancer before it gets beyond help.

I had one yeast infection 4 years ago and didn't even know it until my gyno told me. I did not have any symptoms besides discharge.
