The idea is that the live bacteria in the yogurt will find their way to your vagina and get rid of the bad bacteria and yeast. It won't hurt, but if you continue to have problems then antibiotics from a doctor is a better option. Good luck.

You can try eating a good bit of yogurt I've heard it helps a lot! And people also put yogurt around your lady parts and its supposed to help. Sounds kinda weird I know but I've hears it many times. I would think you could definitely take antibiotics though...

So i read in a post a few days ago, that putting greek jogurt up your vagina would help heal the yeast infection. ...i tried that yesterday and today it was only getting worse so i stopped. Anybody have any advice?

Also try eating yogurt. It has good bacteria that helps.....my son is uncircumcised and got a yeast infection when he took antibiotics. The Dr said feed him lots of yogurt. Now anytime he has to have antibiotics I increase his yogurt intake.....it helps for me too....

A week ago my doctor gave me doxycycline hydrate to fight off an infection that is causing me to have a itchy urethra. My doctor did not do a swap test or anything but thought i had a bacterial infection. Present day ( a week of the medication) I still feel the itchiness and am thinking that I have a yeast infection. I've heard eating yogurt can help fight it, but what about dairy free yogurt? Would eating one container of dairy free yogurt help?

I have had a yeast infection for a year now. The doctors cannot get it to go away. I've been through ten plus Diflucans no results and suppositories no results. But my yeast infection only started after I took lamictal. Has anyone else had this problem? How did your doctors get your yeast to go away?

well your going to just have to tell your my mom about it so u guys can go to a doctor to see if its a yeast infection. but if u want some home remedies if u try not to eating anything with yeast & eat some yogurt with no sugar or fruit.

Can my boyriend also have yeast infection? he has no symptoms.. but if he doesnt get treatment will he then pass it back to me when i am cured??

s safe to take for a yeast infection/other infections throughout your pregnancy. I had a yeast infection a couple times while pregnant, and I took the cream from the pharmacy that was prescribed. It's best, IMO, to get it properly diagnosed as it could be a different vaginal infection (unless you're positive it's yeast) and get it treated. At the very least, your doctor can advise you on what brand/type to take OTC.

Is there any home remedies that are safe in pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection? I have already had it twice ans took that one day pill form of it. Just found out its listed as category c so that kind of annoyed me how my dr just acted like it was completely safe. I also really dont want to shoot medicine up there because it just sounds really difficult... any suggestions??

Sorry to hear that. Monistat is probably the only med they recommend for yeast infection during pregnancy. Can't your doc prescribe something?? How long can you go on like this? Good luck to you. I hope it goes away!

There is feminine anti itch cream you can use to relieve the itching, but you really should use monistat to get rid of the entire yeast infection. And try to avoid making it come out. There is suppositories you can put up in the vagina....not sure if that's what you used but good luck....yeast infections are a b.tch!!

i get them because i have GD and when your sugar gets to high and all crazy it causes yeast infections

Ive had a yeast infection with my son and my daughter. Yes antibiotics can throw off your PH balance so you could possibly have an infection. Any burning or discomfort should always be addressed with your OB to get proper treatment. In the meantine, drink only water and natural cranberry(no cocktail-too much sugar) and try to eat yogurt daily.

Agree with everything in the above post!!! It is a good idea to eat yogurt because the probiotics in it neutralize your ph in your "area" so that the yeast can't grow. I always eat yogurt when I am on antibiotics and if I don't I always get a yeast infection. Also wearing cotton underwear is the best thing because it is breathable.
