s been 2 weeks from the time I had sex to the time I went to the doctor and got the possible diagnosis of Herpes. My son's father says he's never had any symptoms of Herpes...we both get tested atleast yearly. I'm so upset with myself, I should've known better.

So i went to the doctor Monday and she said it appeared to her I was experiencing a HSV1 episode on my lips, but the vaginal infection looked yeast related, not herpes (thank God). She tested me just in case, for HSV2 and prescribed medication for my yeast infection, Valtrex for three days on my lips, and Zovirax cream. It is now Thursday and my yeast infection is practically gone and my lips "look" healed.

As for the yeast infection they have a pill called Flagyl its extermely potent and will kill the yeast infection. The monostat in my opinion don't help too much. Also my Dr told me its not recommended to have sex during BV and yeast infection . IT can be transmitted to your male partner if you use a condom and it breaks.

I have acidophillis,but I have not continually taken it in conjunction with my prescription. I also take AZO yeast from time to time. I will try taking them all at the same time. Thank you for the advice!

I would try the over the counter for 7 days which is the best one to use, and also treat your fiance or he will pass it back to you once you go back to having sex again. Hey guys, this is gonna be a long post so sorry in advance. The past 4 months I've been living a nightmare with my vagina. It started half way through January when I got what I thought to be a simple yeast infection (the clumpy discharge, itching and soreness). The infection seemed to clear up, but now I am bleeding what appears to be fresh blood, moderate, not real heavy, and some cramping. I would just chalk it up to starting my period, but I just had it 2 weeks ago, and like I previously stated, it looks like fresh blood. I don't have any health insurance and was hoping to take care of the situation from home.
