When I had a yeast infection, I went to the gyn and he gave me a cream to use for 3 nights. I did it, thought it went away and had sex with BF a couple of times. Well my symptoms came back because BF was then infected. Guys dont show symptoms of it, so you never know. I went back to the doctor, he said no sex for 2 weeks gave me a cream and 1 pill for me to take and 1 pill for BF to take. Finally it worked.
yes sri i remember u sharing here that u had a yeast infection too!!!! the bad odor can be an indication of an increased infection..ideally a suggestion: if u are getting into a 2ndiui better see to it that whether u have an infection or not..no point in wasting time, energy and money if u are infected...
I believe you said HIV skin rashes, not just skin rashes. So if someone has yeast or fungus or dermatitis infection, one should not do sex to avoid transfers. Because some of these are recurring at times, even though it seems they are gone. So what precautions one should take, to avoid transfers of even these common skin problems. Are there any pre-natal tests etc which can help with this ?.
Is there an easy way to figure out if it is a yeast infection? To make things worse, we think the IUI may be successful and my wife is holding off on treating herself for the yeast infection. Please advise what I should do and help to alleviate my constant concerns. Yeahi went for the past 3 months and I asked the same question but i never really get a clear answer....would men have the same symptoms as woman when they have yeast infections?
That you did not have yeast was verified by the fact that treatment directed at yeast infection did not help. There are many other dermatological processes which can cause yeast. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist for diagnosis. (And, as a side note, yeast infections only become a major problem for persons with HIV who have been infected for many (>10) years. You know that is not the case, you've had a negative test).
A few months later, my wife complains of a yeast infection. She goes to the doctor and they give her tests for yeast infections. They also give her a prescription for terconazole vaginal cream. She uses it and starts to feel better. All her symptoms (basically just irritation) go away. She calls the doctor and they tell her that the tests for yeast came back negative.

I got diagnosed with a yeast infection yesterday. Didn't get a chance to get the medicine picked up from the pharmacy until today. Tonight I had some pink blood when I wipe. Could that be a side effect of the yeast infection? I'm 14 weeks with my 4th and have never had spotting with other pregnancies. Doctor is closed tomorrow so can't call to ask.
Let your OB know because many times its hard to tell the difference between bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection.
