Common Questions and Answers about Yaz withdrawal headaches

yaz

Avatar n tn Has anyone used yaz to treat endometriosis? has any one got pregnant after using it? and also has inflmmation in the uterus?
Avatar m tn About 4 months ago, I switched from Alesse to Yaz. At the beginning of my most recent pack, I accidentally began using an old Alesse pack that I had forgot to throw out instead of Yaz. I discovered this 4 days in to the pack, and immediately switched back to Yaz as per my doctor's orders. My partner and I have been using the withdrawal method this month just to be sure, but I am worried that some ejaculate may have still come in contact with the outer parts of my genital area.
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Lexapro for mood and maxalt for headache by PCP ( have been on numerous triptans for the last ten years for good control) When my perimenopausal symptoms began to increase hot flashes, sleep difficulties and mood, I was placed on Yaz. It has overall been great. Controlled by anxiety except for right before menses.
Avatar n tn ok so i was on yaz for a month and when i had 2 more left on the 3rd week i stopped taking the pill, i did not get my period and it has been about 4 days and i took i the white inactive pills, well 2 of them and still no period, i am still a virgin so no i am not pregnant but what can it be???
Avatar f tn A couple of weeks ago I decided to go off the pill (Yaz) because I was wondering if it was making me feel sick (I've been taking the pill for over a year now). I was just wondering a) if anybody else has felt sick on Yaz; b) if going off it helped; and c) how long it took for the pill to get out of your system? Thanks for any help. (I'm 18).
Avatar f tn For the past two months, a week after my period, I have been getting brown spotting. The night before the spotting occurs I get headaches and feel sick. I take my birth control (YAZ) as directed and I have been on it for about a year and a half. The spooting only last about a day or two, but I have never had it do this before. Is this normal? I have heard a lot of bad stuff about Yaz also, should I change birth control?
Avatar f tn Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..
Avatar f tn Have you seen the write up on the YAZ pill and issues people have experienced as Bayer "maker" of YAZ has not kept to their promises in terms of how good this pill is compared to other contraceptives. In a forum on this website there were quite of bit of ladies who told thier stories relating to this pill, headaches, bad acne, heavy mood swings, lot of others. Is Yaz treating u well?
Avatar n tn im currently taking yaz birth control. lately iv been getting real sick and hungry like crazy could it be my pill or something else. im trying to get pregnant but trying to regulate my periods too.
Avatar f tn it would be a good idea to see a doctor so he or she can help ypu figure out what is causing all this. ive never heard it a side affect from the yaz. where did you read this? i am also on yaz.
Avatar f tn ve always taken them within the same 3 hour period. Since on Yaz (over a year and a half), my periods have gotten slighter and slighter, later and later - my doctor said that was normal except this month I've missed my period. My fiance and I had unprotected sex once (pill was the only protection). I have been stressed much more than normal lately so I'm wondering if that has played a part in my missing a period. Am I pregnant? If not, why does this happen?
Avatar f tn I went off of it about 5 weeks ago because of 10 days of headaches culminating in a migraine. I went off Yaz immediately after the migraine (and my doctor agreed that was a good decision). Therefore, I went off Yaz mid-pack. In general, I do not react well to BCP. I had been on several when I was in my early 20s. I swore them off for a while, but went on Yaz when I started getting spotting between periods and I wasn't having a period for 3 months at a time.
Avatar f tn and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! Help please, this is starting to make me feel miserable.
Avatar n tn I everyone. I'm 36, mother of two. I took YAZ birth control for about 5 months. In the 5th month I got breakthrough bleeding midcycle which lasted a week, brown dark blood. I was unhappy with YAZ anyway, so I stopped taking the pill. I still had about 6 hormone pills left before the placebo pills started. That was 4 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten a period. I should have gotten a withdrawal bleed about 3-4 weeks ago.
1447404 tn?1284604228 This is my first week on these two medications. I was told that I have PCOS a week ago. I was wondering what side effects you have had from these drugs. Over the past year, I have gained 50 pounds by changing nothing at all. This gain happened while I was doing 1.5 hr cardio a day with weights & eating around 800 calories. (5'4, 160 now). My Dr. told me that Metformin would help with lowering my weight.Yet, I'm now on Yaz.
Avatar f tn t know about the breastfeeding part....but when I was on the pill...Yaz gave me beautiful even clear skin..... Maybe you could ask your doctor about those.
397977 tn?1201264847 They started in high school and I have been able to manage them but lately they have become debilitating. I changed birth control pills in October 2007 from Orthonovum to Yaz. I had been on Orthonovum for 20 plus years. The YAZ helped the PMS symptoms I was having really well but I would get terrible headaches at the beginning or end of my cycle.
Avatar m tn hello, i need all the help i can get. i was taking birth control pills(Yaz, provided at the doctors office) for almost a year and had to stop taking them ( doctors orders) because of a frequent bad stomach. my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex on january 1st, he pulled out before eqaculating, but went on my vagina/lower stomach. im near positive none actually entered my vagina but just in case took a plan b pill the day after.
Avatar f tn ve only experienced some mild cramping and mild headaches. Thank goodness. I have a history of severe migraines. Which I have noticed have decreased since my new GYN agreed to take me off the Yaz. In fact, I have even been able to stop taking Topamax. Which is an anti-seizure med neurologist give to help suppress migraines. Are there any other "yaz survivors" on this message board? I have had several disturbing side effects from Yaz.
Avatar f tn I quit taking the pill (Yaz) in March, simply stopping at the last non-placebo pill, and my normal withdrawal period. Here are my cycle lengths since: C1- 29 days C2 - 28 days C3 - 38 days C4 - 27 days C5 - 27 C6 - 36 days and counting... on CD35, (yesterday morning) I had brown spotting once and nothing since. It has been 20 days since we last had sex. It seems unlikely that this is implantation bleeding based on the timing. I took a test several days ago which was negative.
Avatar f tn She believes that I had been a little stressed this past month because we had a pet emergency, plus my job (I am a petshop associate and I am on my feet a lot) and now being off the YAZ. She said the lateness is most likely the YAZ having finally been cleared of my system. Is that true, does it take 2-3 months for a birth control pill to leave the system? Am I just being overly worried and that combined with everything else causing the lateness?
Avatar n tn Shes been on BC for like 3 years and when she switched to Yaz, we read the leaflet which said that when you start a new pack, it takes 7 days for the pills to become effective (it also said that if you were switching to Yaz from another BC, then you needed to start yaz like you would the other bc as normal; however, I assumed that it still took a week to become effective). However, this could be wrong, I really am not sure. But thank you for the advice!
Avatar m tn By this point you probably know whether or not your girlfriend is pregnant...but if she is not and she is still having these symptoms please tell her that it is VERY likely that it is the YAZ which is causing her to have her symptoms. I began taking it about 2 weeks ago and on the second week began to feel terrible anxiety, depression, nausea, headaches, weird breathing problems (apparently caused by too much estrogen), crying all the time, etc...
Avatar f tn I have very bad night sweats (wake up damp), no hot flashes, hair loss, dry skin, anxiety which gets worse before period, dry hair, itchy skin, temp has been running at 97, headaches were bad until I started taking YAZ, allergies which I have never had, etc. Anyone thinking this sounds like peri-menopause? I am 38, my mom says hers started at 35.
737515 tn?1252552423 There was more bad days than good days though,so i quit. I was on ortho tricyclen lo, then on Yaz. Both caused anxiety/depression. I think the hormones in the pills just effect peoples bodies differently, meaning theres no answer. Maybe someday, when doctors pay more attention to the psychological side effects.
