ok so i was on yaz for a month and when i had 2 more left on the 3rd week i stopped taking the pill, i did not get my period and it has been about 4 days and i took i the white inactive pills, well 2 of them and still no period, i am still a virgin so no i am not pregnant but what can it be???
I took Yaz for symptoms of pmdd for one week(my tubes are tied), I also was taking minocycline at the same time, I started taking the Yaz on the first day of my period, when my period went over the usual 4 days I stopped the yaz, well i'm still bleeding heavy like a regualr period and cramping and its day 13, is this the withdrawal effects or do I need to see my Doctor?
I have been withdrawal bleeding for 4 days now and my doctor told me to start on Yaz tomorrow. Will this bleeding stop when on Yaz? Should I wait until I stop bleeding before I take it?
I stopped taking yaz after only 2 months on and had my withdrawal bleed. four weeks after that I had another "period" since then I have been having a period every two weeks... I have never had an irregular period...it was always 28 days before taking the pill...what could be wrong?
2006 - Went on Yasmin but changed a year later due to an insane amount of bleeding. 2007 - Went on Yaz instead and bleeding was much better but libido decreased tremendously and seven months later, had a HUGE anxiety attack while out of town for a conference. My GP put me on Lexapro, felt good for about 3 months, and then we stepped me off of it because I assumed it was ennvironmental stressors and not linked to Yaz. Two months later, another huge anxiety attack.
I everyone. I'm 36, mother of two. I took YAZ birth control for about 5 months. In the 5th month I got breakthrough bleeding midcycle which lasted a week, brown dark blood. I was unhappy with YAZ anyway, so I stopped taking the pill. I still had about 6 hormone pills left before the placebo pills started. That was 4 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten a period. I should have gotten a withdrawal bleed about 3-4 weeks ago.
Oh - I suppose these are my intentions - and I guess I am looking for someone to agree and make be feel better about it! Nurofen is a lot less powerful than vicoden and I hoped that withdrawal might be easier...............
I'm naseas feeling and can't stop eating. and my nipples hurt. I only started Yaz on Aug 5th and stopped Aug 15th )10 days of taking it) then started spotting only three days later. Then started Aug 18th Orth-Lo and stopped four days later. So I have been on nothing for 4 days and thought I would start bleeding....is thgat the case or is my boy all messed up now from the pill.?
Heavy breakthrough bleeding on third packet on Yaz. I'm on the third week. On day 7 I was 18 hours late taking the pill. I had unprotected sex that night. Last week (week 2) the breahthrough bleeding started out as brown discharge now its medium flow bleeding with clots. Is this because I so late taking that pill or could it be pregnancy?! Will I still get a withdrawal bleed at the end of this packet?
if you stopped your pills the 6th.....bleeding on the 10th is a stopping the pill bleed.....AF. i started bleeding 2 days before AF was due and bleed for 2 days and spotted for 5. i am now 5 weeks PG. when i was on the pill and stopped taking it i had a really nasty period. did you stop mid pack? i did and that was the worst period ever. remember the pills in the beginning and middle of the pack are stronger and if you stop taking them then your period after will be awful.
It hurt so we stopped. afterward i was having light pink bleeding. I was due for my period yesterday but am still bleeding lighter than normal although it is reddish pink. I was having mild period like cramps with the brown spotting but now with the bleeding i have a pain on the left side of my pelvic region. I haven't taken a preg test yet bc i am waiting until a week after my period would normally start to get the best results.
I have heard to wait 2 weeks after i stop bleeding to take a test, some say ok to test while bleeding and others say to wait a few days after I stop. Im not really trying to get pregnant but I would be happy if I was. Anyone have any advice? My periods have never been regular but my husband and I are stressed wondering if i am pregnant. Im thinking it wont hurt to test now while bleeding, in a few days after i stop and then maybe again in a few weeks. Thank you for all your help.
well after a year on that I was bleeding for 8 to 9 days (still bleeding even while taking the 'active' pills) also I started getting cramps and what not and my dr kept saying that should not be happening since you only have a withdrawal bleed...then in 2009 my last lap surgery showed an "adenomatoid" tumor which i was told was extremely rare...but by then I was on Apri already. So can't say if it did anything to the uterus at all if that is what you mean by inflammation in uterus?
I quit taking the pill (Yaz) in March, simply stopping at the last non-placebo pill, and my normal withdrawal period. Here are my cycle lengths since: C1- 29 days C2 - 28 days C3 - 38 days C4 - 27 days C5 - 27 C6 - 36 days and counting... on CD35, (yesterday morning) I had brown spotting once and nothing since. It has been 20 days since we last had sex. It seems unlikely that this is implantation bleeding based on the timing. I took a test several days ago which was negative.
As you have stopped taking the birth control pills, soon you will have withdrawal bleeding and then you can start the new pack on the first day of your periods or on the first Sunday after your periods. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
I am currently on yaz and I was waiting for my withdrawal bleeding to start so over the last few days I have been inserting my finger into my vagina to feel my cervix. I put my finger deep inside and really rubbed my cervix, I did this quite a few times over the past days. My bleeding started today, but now I am worried that maybe I have caused myself to become pregnant by doing this (maybe I touched a door handle that contained sperm and then it was transferred into my vagina?

I suspect you are bleeding because you have now stopped taking the pills which causes withdrawal bleeding (the triggering of menstruation when on hormonal contraception). When the bleeding stops resume your pills as previously. If you are typically not consistent with taking the pill on time, you may want to consider another form of hormonal contraception such as the Nuvaring or the patch, or an IUD.

any answers or insight would be greatly appreciated. I have been on birth control since March of 2009. The doctor prescribed me to Yaz, but after 9 months of taking it and over 3 months of spotting between periods I stopped taking it for a month. I was put on Loestrin 24 in December. My period started on either the 20th or the 21st, and I started taking it the Sunday after (12/27). On January 1st (5 days into the first week) I had sex and the condom broke.
After 5 days of light bleeding ( five after period had stopped) I decided to take myself off of the pills (September 30) On October 1-5, 2007 I had withdrawal bleeding. I had unprotected sex with my husband, using the withdrawl method, on October 6th multiple times. I believe we were safe, but we understand the possible risk we were running. To make sure I wasn't preganant I took a digital read out test on October 16th. that came back negative.
If you are having periods while on birth control pills which is actually withdrawal bleeding, then pregnancy cannot occur. Missed periods is the first sign of pregnancy. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

It has made work very difficult. I know it is just withdrawal from hormones and I know it takes time to regulate, but this last one was worse than ever and worse than before I started taking BC. I am just wondering if I were on a pill with less placebo time and more hormones (like Yaz) if that would help at all? Or is this normal and to be expected? My rx will need refills after this pack and if this is normal I don't want to waste my time/money on a Dr. visit.
I have had unprotected sex using the withdrawal method (reliable... I know...) along with birth control pills with fairly consistent use--I wouldn't describe it as "perfect" use, but it's rare that I miss. I recently switched from Yaz to Gianvi, maybe around 3 months ago. I know this certainly could cause changes in my cycle, but it seems as though if that were the reason it would have happened the month I switched, not several months later.

Even if you weren't on them for long, they still do have an effect on your body and the bleeding you had sounds very much like withdrawal bleeding. The symptoms can also be due to your body being off the birth control, or just over-analyzing pregnancy symptoms. It's really difficult to say one way or another what it really could be. It could even be that your cycle is messed up just from giving birth in Feb.
They do say though that ANY bleeding, even just a drop of brown stuff is considered withdrawal while on the pill. So I guess I did kinda start? It'll probably kick in by tomorrow hopefully. I highly doubt they missed an 8 week pregnancy. Plus, you would be having symptoms by now anyway. 2 months into a pregnancy, you would be able to tell if you were really pregnant. And you also wouldn't have been getting your withdrawal bleeds at all.
Now I am mildly concerned though because I had a very light period last week (2 days), and I woke up bleeding again today. (sex last night) Has anyuone here had the same sort of thing, and/or should I chalk it up to my body missing the hormone it was getting? Thanks!
