yaz

Avatar n tn after all it is not her falt, tell her to talk with her doctor about YAZ it is good and worked good for me and my moods,
Avatar n tn m 23, and this is the first birth control I have ever tried. Mostly for leveling my PMS/PMDD. I am contemplating not starting another pack of YAZ this weekend-- as I believe the pill is causing me to become aggressive, angry, depressed, and otherwise flat affected in comparison to who I typically am. I have taken the pill for 7 months--when I first began, I noticed many mood swings, temper bouts, and then, it magically leveled out (as suspected) as I got used to the pill.
Avatar f tn I AM NOW SEEING ALOT OF LAWSUITS BEING ADVERTISED FOR YAZ....SIDEEFFECTS BEING BLOOD CLOTS, PULMONARY ISSUES AND SO ON ....HAS ANYONE HAD ISSUES WITH YAZ AND WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT....WHAT CAN I ALSO DO FOR THE MOODS...ANY SUGGESTIONS...
Avatar f tn Ocella is supposed to be the same as Yasmine, but fillers are diferrent and I reacted differently on ocella. Yaz has 24 pils and Yasmine 21. Yaz is supposed to take care of the PMDD symtoms better. 10. My MIND is a lot cleared on YAZ but the side effects and physical effects are unhealthy and I have not been able to engage in excercise etc because of the symtoms. I will rather go on Yasmine and have no physical side effects and I will try to manage the remaining mood swings myself.
Avatar f tn I have dedicated a website for women who are currently or previously taken Yaz Birth Control. This is a support group for women to see the pro's and con's of taking this prescription. Please take a moment to view YazForum ******* and post a comment of your experience while taking Yaz. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Any birth control pill, well any birth control that has hormones in it can cause blood clots. But they are normally only risk for those who have a family history of clots, or who have suffered from clots before. I've never been on Yaz and the only birth control pills I have ever taken was/is Yasmin. No they are not the same. Yasmin or Ocella is a lower dose of birth conrtol, while Yaz is prescribed more often to those who suffer from PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder).
Avatar f tn If i come off it I think I will go mental (as i have tried before) I have heard alot of bad things about YAZ and I was also told that BCP are not responsible for weight gain. If you are gaining weight I would ask for another Ultrasound to see if you have any cysts. I totally understand how you feel. I was always around 120-130 but since this endo business I seem to fluctuate between 140-155. I cant stand it and I have lots and lots of cellulite. It is so depressing I do agree with you.
Avatar f tn ive been on birth control since i was 13 for PMDD and recently switched to yaz from seasonique. i had unprotected sex while i was switching meds. i took a pregnancy test three days ago and it was negative but i still havent started... what should i do?
Avatar f tn i dont know if you are on birth control or not, but i am on YAZ, to control my PMDD. Last year i missed 2 months of my cycle, and i had just done it again in the past two months. The funny part is, i had a 3 week cycle in May, and then nothing. I just finally gotten a full "normal" cycle, which i am not complaining, because i needed it, even though its been hell.
1051017 tn?1349636853 I was on Yaz for about 2 years and during my first and second month I had alot of nausea. After the third month basically all of my symptoms went away. But make sure to keep track of them because alot of side effects have come about. I went off for fertility's sake. I have pmdd and Yaz completely cured me of all my horrible side effects.
Avatar f tn I was on YAZ (had no issues with it, nor was I using for PMDD) for about 6-7 months both for BC and to regulate my period. I have been very irregular since I had my very first period at 13. Then this December was my last pack because I was unable to afford it. January through April my periods were still coming regularly even though I was no longer using the pill (my last period starting on 4/1). Now its May and I am 3 days late so far.
Avatar n tn m on my period it increased it by 3 days, with horrible cramping. Yaz was the strangest for me though. My hormones were very much out of wack, and had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever! I would not recommend it. I have had several friends (4) try Yaz as well and had many problems. Hopefully you have called a doctor about your rash though. I've not heard of anyone breaking out in rashes.
Avatar n tn What I did not really expect was the emotional piece of it. I am on medication for depression and always have been dues to pmdd. Although I am feeling great physically, the emotional piece is not "normal" yet. I am wondering if this is normal and how the heck long does it take to get back to "normal".
519035 tn?1348275773 How many of you have been successful at this time for your blood work. What birth control pills if any are you guys taking???? I am on yaz. but so far not helped with pms. I started pms'ing about three days ago blaming it on synthroid lol! i have extreme hot flashes, depression, mood swings, I feel like my body is out of control, which we already know it is! Thanks!
3143493 tn?1342996589 PMDD- I have serve PMDD and its effecting my life in a bad way.My marriage is on the line because of how bad mymood swings are.I was recently given (citalopram) but only 2 weeks at a time but I'm seriously scared about taking this med because of the side effects and reviews I've read..
Avatar f tn If you can, make an appointment with your gynocologist to see if she can run a blood panel on you and possibly an internal ultrasound. Otherwise, the other diagnosis that came to mind was PMDD. Yasmin and Yaz are both known for helping treat PMDD and that could possibly be why it was working for you so well while taking it. Now that you're off of it, all of your symptoms are returning.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Yaz for 6 months and have not had a period AT ALL for 3 months, no spotting nothing! I like the pill in general but I hate not knowing if im preggo month to month...My face broke out bad the first month also...
Avatar f tn I am on yaz as a birth control and for my PMDD. It has not worked. I do not know what to do. I am trying ben wa balls now, and have done kegels for three months. Any advice is helpful as this is really hurting my sex life and self esteem?
Avatar m tn Honestly, I'd rather it be in my arm than my uterus. Though im curious about how it would work.
1448936 tn?1363206346 I have the same problem with my hormones going all haywire and causing anxiety, depression, and sending me into manic attacks before my period. My doctor recommended a birth control to help stabilize my hormones so I don't go into a manic state once a month. He's recommended Yaz because of its reputation to stabilize moods as well. If you're not on a birth control you might want to consider one. Extra irritability right before your period are signs of PMDD I believe.
Avatar f tn When I turned 30 and Yaz was getting rave reviews, my doctor put me on that with the Zoloft. Finally my PMDD was under controll, but there was one side effect. I was spotting everyday. At first I thought it was just my body getting used to being on the pill after so many years, but when I finished the first pack, and starting the second, The spotting became bleeding, and it didn't stop. About the middle of the second month, I changed to Yasmine.
Avatar f tn t taking it for sleep. My doctor gave it too me for PMDD ?....go figure, eh?....she wanted to give me YAZ, but I smoked at the time and she railed me good........I was not taking it as prescribed. I would go two weeks on and off.......well, someone did tell me not to do that, so I started taking 1 @ bedtime as prescribed. I have been a little lazy and have not picked up my prescription yet.......I didn't even think about my bp spiking......hmm?........
Avatar f tn My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.
1116472 tn?1260075052 I take Yaz for PMDD. It helped me lose weight, more than i wanted to lose actually, i went from 137, to now im between 118-122, varies day to day. But i love it, besides all the weight loss.
405998 tn?1222396217 I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.
Avatar n tn m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
