m on my period it increased it by 3 days, with horrible cramping. Yaz was the strangest for me though. My hormones were very much out of wack, and had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever! I would not recommend it. I have had several friends (4) try Yaz as well and had many problems. Hopefully you have called a doctor about your rash though. I've not heard of anyone breaking out in rashes.

In my opinion i would wait it out because all the reviews ive read about hormonal acne and not cystic acne have said that it took at least 3 months to clear their skin completely.

I have been taking Yaz for about 4 months now. I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?

Hi, I've been taking Yaz for about two months now, but recently I forgot to take it a few days ago. My friend told me that if I miss a day I can just take two the next day. I did and later on I noticed I was spotting. I did read that it is very common for something like that to happen but for me it seemed like i was having my period. I wanted it to stop so I decided I was going to stop taking it.

My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks, yea I am going to make an appointment w/ my doctor to see what I should do and maybe see if I should get back on the pill...you said you continued getting acne for 4 months after getting of the pill? Ugh...that's a long time...right now I would say this is my 1st month since I barely started breaking out really bad about 3 weeks ago but now my acne has basically spread ALL over my face except on my chin and my nose.

I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.

I've never been on Yaz, but was on Ortho Cyclen for 5 years and eventually had to have my gallbladder out because it was full of stones. My twin sister is just now having symptoms of gallbladder disease, but she hasn't been on the pill as long as I was. I'm still on it and wondering if it could cause other problems even after the gallbladder is gone.

I am going through the same thing right now. I have been on Yaz for over a half a year. I'm not sure if it is the Yaz causing it or something else. I dont know of Yaz having that sort of a side effect. Sorry I cant help much.

I haven't had a period for awhile so the Obgyn put me on Yaz and I took that about 5 days because I was having really bad chest pains so I stopped taking it , I did start a period that lasted 8 days that was back in Dec 07 ! I went and seen my regular Dr that put me on Medroxypr Ac 10 mg to help start well I have taken all that and still no periods I did how ever have some cramps but no period!

I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.

Several years ago, I went on Lexapro 10mg and in therapy for about a year. I was on it for 5+ years and was doing great. I went off of Lexapro and did great for over a year. My anxiety started to creep back in periodically, but I worked through it. I was on the bc pill Aleese at the time I went off of Lexapro and still did ok, but I did get more anxiety around my period.

Honestly, I'd rather it be in my arm than my uterus. Though im curious about how it would work.

So last night my boyfriend and I had sex and he came in me. I'm on birth control for moderate acne. Please tell me my bc Will work to prevent pregnancy too. I'm worried I might have a low dosage of yaz birth control and it won't help. And I am supposed to be ovulating now. Please help me.

Hello there, If I can give women out there an advice it be NOT to take BC Pills! I was on Yasmin for 5 years, unlike others I did not experience physical side effects but it did ruin my marriage since it destroyed my libido, no sex drive at all! I decided to stop it in December of 07, and i have been on the most horrible ride of my life.First the periods were allot in one month or back to back. They would last for about 10 days! and then came the Acne!

I have now stopped the injection and started on the Qlaira contraceptive/birth control pill, which I know is not especially for improving acne as some are (Yaz, Diane 35), but I want to know how likely this change is to help, as i really am at the end of my tether. I'm about a week into my second pack and so far, nothing has changed - for better or worse.

In the beginning when I was taking it, I had lost weight and noticed that i barely has problems with my cysts on my ovaries. It seemed to have shrunken them.I was doing fine for about a year, and stopped taking the pill.

It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference. Well, my skin gets hard bumps under the skin which arent pimples and they will form permenant red marks on my face. I also have three spots on my cheeks near my nose that have thickening skin and contu=inuously flake off and turn red and repeat continuously. Nothing seems to help..

Hi, I have struggled with cystic and chronic acne for over a decade, I'm 24 y/o female. I am beginning my 4th year of using Nexplanon birth control, I had a new one put in Feb 2021. I was prescribed Estradiol to help with excessive bleeding for my periods and when I took it for 10 straight days my face cleared up almost 100% for the first time in 10 years. I was over the moon happy until my gyno said I could not be on Estradiol long term and she would not prescribe me anymore.

I have been on ortho-tricyclen lo for over 4 years now and I think its fantastic. I also take spironolactone which helps out with the hair growth/loss. I switched to Yaz for 2 months and I was MISERABLE. I would personally recommend switching.

I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.

m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
