I have been on ortho-tricyclen lo for over 4 years now and I think its fantastic. I also take spironolactone which helps out with the hair growth/loss. I switched to Yaz for 2 months and I was MISERABLE. I would personally recommend switching.

Just to be clear larger breasts were never placed before my health. Hence the reason I said I stopped taking Yaz in the first place. I've been off of birth control for two years with smaller breasts, it's not a big deal. I am currently looking to start a new bc pill and breast growth would just be a plus! Please read carefully people before responding.

I too have been taking Yaz for 5 cycles now and I have experienced the same bloating you are talking about. I am a very athletic person and I run almost 70 miles a week. Before Yaz I was skinny 5'3 110lbs and I didn't have much of a tummy at all.I am still the same weight but now I look almost pregnant, and i am positive i am not, but my stomach sticks out so much from bloating and it is making me miserable as well. I just want it to go away.

im currently taking yaz birth control. lately iv been getting real sick and hungry like crazy could it be my pill or something else. im trying to get pregnant but trying to regulate my periods too.

I have been on Yaz for 3 years....this past year I have been having issues with having a period. Is this normal? At the moment I'm not only not having a period but I'm also having pain in the lower front like cramps but nothing is happening.....am I ok?

t have the random hair growth. I have been to a gynecologist and all he wants to do is put me on the pill, which I explained makes me miserable in a way that these irregular periods alone cannot. He refuses to test for a hormonal imbalance, saying that it's impossible to measure since women's hormones fluctuate so much throughout their cycle. I went for a pelvic ultrasound a week or so ago and still have yet to get the results. My PAP was normal.

Within 2 weeks, I had energy and less hair growth! The first 2 months I had perfect 28 day cycles that were non-painful and light. My 3rd cycle never came and I recently found out that I'm pregnant. I'm scared of course because of the high miscarriage rates in women with PCOS but I'm optimistic. You should really talk to your doctor and convince him/her to do something besides the BCP's. Hi Stella, well maybe I can shed some light on your extra unwanted hair growth or at least give you some info that might help you out. I am a Electrologist (retired) so I know a little about this issue. I'm not sure how old you are but most women do in fact have unwanted hair growth but it isn't something you'll hear them talking about at your local Tupperware party so don't think your alone. If all women live long enough they are destined to get some kind of unwanted hair.

Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..

I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.

I went to the doc and was treated for Anxiety/Depression with Zoloft and recently have been put on YAZ. I have very bad night sweats (wake up damp), no hot flashes, hair loss, dry skin, anxiety which gets worse before period, dry hair, itchy skin, temp has been running at 97, headaches were bad until I started taking YAZ, allergies which I have never had, etc. Anyone thinking this sounds like peri-menopause? I am 38, my mom says hers started at 35.

My periods ended up on just spotting and no more regular bleading. I also have hair growth under my chin. I am planning to get rid of this IUD. Please help me if any one else having this kind of issues. Any other suggations for birth control.

t even get out of bed usually. My old gyno put me on YAZ continuously (with no sugar pills) for 4 months straight with no periods to see if the pain would calm down and id didn't and YAZ made me very swollen. I am hesitant to even try this because I have gained over 25lbs the past 1 1/2 yrs, from when the pain started and I got sick from this all. PLEASE HELP!!!

Question for anyone out there using the birth control pill Yaz. Has ya'lls period stopped completely? Need to know if that is normal.

My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.

so after i had my son which he is now 6 months old i have been on the mirena for 3 month and i havent had a problem exept im noticing being hungry often....? yaz would have ok if i didint have hair loss and got prego and its funny bc i met someother female who had got prego off the yaz also... bu **** a good skin and weightloss pill!

m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.

It's normal for these things to start happening following menopause due to testosterone. You can get help with this, however, by visiting a doctor and being prescribed certain hormones.

I lost a probably about 45% but luckily it thinned all over. the only part I had to hide was a receding hair line in the front (Like my dad has) So I didn't put my hair up and just combed long hair over for a while. I have been done with treatment for a couple months now..and my hair, (while still thinned out) is a completely different texture then it was on treatment. I noticed within a few weeks after tx the shine was back and it did not look so dead anymore.

Thanke you for the respond. I went off the BCP few years ago and ended up loosing 80% of my hair. Was told that i had to be on some birth control to regulate my hormones. I maby loose 10-20 hairs a day now, but it just does not grow. Is it possible that YAZ is causing my T3 to look high in range, but i have too little T3 ? Because i think it´s strange that my TSH is at the higher end of the range.

With my first and second pregnancy my hair grew long and thick on my head. This pregnancy my hair is comings out everytime I wash it. The plug is full of my hair. Luckily for now you wouldn't notice because I have so much. It does appear to be growing faster tho.
