yaz

737515 tn?1252552423 I have had severe anxiety problems before and they are terrible. I am sorry that you are having trouble with them & finding a birth control that works. I would NOT recommend YAZ...it's the only birth control that has had truly debilitating effects on my mood. I've experienced depression, anxiety, headaches, weird breathing/yawning side effects, you name it...
Avatar f tn m supposed to be starting my period tomorrow and the bleeding is finally tapering off.
Avatar f tn ive been on yaz for almost 3 years and in the last year i have been sick every month for five months right before my period with gastroenteritis which is vomiting for 2 hours with diarrhea and being very dizzy . i also have very bad mood swings anger irritation very easily, cry for no reason and more, not really sure what to do because my doctor hasnt really suggested i go of of it?
Avatar f tn Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..
Avatar f tn s important to me and my relationship, and wondering if EVERYONE has this side effect because of the effects on testosterone and is this a lasting effect even if I were to stop taking it. Are there any safer alternatives to hormone imbalance that do not effect sex drive and cause other related health problems. I am aware that with any medication their could be implications, but I am more prone to prefer more natural methods of solving problems. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn Hi Jem Why not just google Yaz side effects and see if they match up to your symptems.
Avatar f tn I was on yaz for 5 months and i had massive hair loss and, no appite, and i got pregnant with my son on the 3rd month on them got a period and following month no period and i found out i was 10 weeks and i was taking the pills correctly!
1252901 tn?1271131868 As I go through your set of symptoms,it seems to have some relation with your pregnancy and drug history..Its better you take the pregnancy test and confirm that you are pregnant no way.If you are pregnant then every symptom seems to have a relation with it.But as per the drug history it drives me towards the adverse effects of Effexor drug which causes anorexia, headache, and GI problems like the one you stated. So why have been using that prescription for?
1447404 tn?1284604228 ve read, weight gain, bloating and fatigue are common symptoms with Yaz. HTH!
Avatar f tn I've always had good luck with Yaz and Yasmin. Yaz has fewer side effects and most people can tolerate it and it works. However- everyone's body is different, and until they get the hormone balance right, you could have spotting, etc. I can say, that most likely- there is a pill out there that you could tolerate. Good luck.
Avatar n tn d call your doctor and tell her you are stopping the pill and would like to discuss another possibility. Does she know you were on Yaz before?
Avatar m tn I have tried several types of birth control to help with this and of course they do regulate the periods, but they are never less intense and the other side effects of the pill (nausea, weight gain, constant mood swings) are always so severe that I honestly would rather just have the irregular periods.
Avatar f tn What all side effects should I expect on Yaz birth control pills, I have been taking it for 1 month and so far I have been having extremely sore breasts, is this very common?
Avatar n tn I have heard about Yaz and Yasmin causing more of a risk for blood clots in women....BUT (yes there is a but) almost all birth control pills can cause blood clots especialy if you have had them before, or have had a family history of them. If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.
Avatar n tn At the point of seeing a stranger in my reflection with no one left to tell i just stopped caring about even taking yaz and soon after i fell like i was slowly waking up. Please iam 22 years old i let yaz control 2 years of my precious youth dealing with over barring spilling emotions from hell STOP taking the legal pink pills that rapes you of your soul!!!! i would rather have 5 kids in 5 years then have to resort to that ****** up point of devastation ever ever again!!!
877371 tn?1240237527 the first two you listed are for weight loss and i dont think your supposed to really combine them
Avatar n tn I've been on synthroid x 5 months, post total thyroidectomy since May, and I've had no hair loss or weight gain. I am also VERY careful about what I eat and exercise regularly.
Avatar n tn I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it. I was regular at first but then became irregular after a while, one of the more minor side effects. The first thing you need to do right now is see your doctor, which you are doing. If you are not pregnant you should look into the side effects of yasmin and possibly switch to a lower dose pill.
Avatar f tn I am afraid to go off Yaz from all the side effects I hear about it and would like to get pregnant in the near future, instead of going off of it cold turkey and experience all the side effects any suggestions to how many pills I should miss in order to get pregnant?
484167 tn?1210001396 i couldn't stand these side effects so i went ahead and switched back to yaz...i can't stand feeling preganant all the time which is exactly the way the yasmin made me feel...there are too many different brands of the pill to have one of them make you feel like ****. there are a lot of options...
Avatar n tn I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
Avatar f tn I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
Avatar n tn Hi, Yaz = Yasmin birth control pill or it's some other birth control pill? I am taking Yasmin fo five years for treating endometriosis and I haven't had any serious side-effects. When I have my periods I feel like you feel usually when you have period, nothing different. Except that the periods are lighter, that's the change from before, and also I don't have so much pains. The only bad thing is that I have bad headaches while I have my period.
1549189 tn?1293935668 s side effects are commonly confused with weight loss. Side effects are loss of appetite, however this may affect people in different ways. And being that this is just a side effect of the drug, and not the purpose of the drug itself, it does not mean that it will neccessarily happen. Sometimes the brain is so powerful that it can override the drugs side affects of appetite suppression. Truthfully, some people happen to lose weight while on the drug, some people don't.
Avatar n tn A year a ago I was on a pill and I thought that my anxiety and weight was an issue so I changed to the Yaz combined pill. My anxiety and weight haven't changed. I have never had trouble with weight until this past 2 years and although I am watching what I eat and exercise 3 times a week nothings is working. I also get extremely lethargic the week before my period and this has been since my last child 10 years ago. Is there any pill out there that will help?
2035835 tn?1336300786 Mine did, and now I can only feel it a tiny bit if my feet are in the same position for a long time (i.e. computer chair rail). It definitely has a side effect of weight loss. In fact, some doctors prescribe it specifically for that reason. (In people who are overweight, and don't suffer from migraine.) I lost weight almost immediately.
