Six months later I have had drastic changes in my personality, depression, apathy, lower sex drive, constant hunger, swelling, headaches, vision problems and chest pain, dizziness, fatigue, naseua, weight gain, paranoia and just a general feeling of being off. I didn't feel like myself. I documented all this in a journal and finally got to a point where I couldn't take it anymore. I have recently gone off the pill and am finally starting to feel like myself again.

Hello, Some of the side effects of Cynomycin(minocycline) are dizziness, nausea, vomiting and stomach upset, hives, blurred vision, blood in stools, headache, joint pain and muscle pain. There are currently four oral contraceptives approved by the FDA for the treatment of acne: Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Estrostep, and Yaz. These are available under prescription. Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Warm regards.
My husband had infertility problems on his side too and they told us we would have a 5% chance of getting pregnant without using Invitro. I was on Metformin for about 3 months and lost 15 lb. I also found out I was pregnant (naturally) within 6 months. My daughter will be celebrating her first birthday on the 27th of September. I only gained about 30 lb and was happy that I had lost that 15 before hand. I have also just started Metformin again.
Hi, You should consult a neurologist and rule out sinusitis and vision problems. If you have them treated your symptoms will also respond. You would need to take appropriate prescribed medications and get relevant investigations done. Your headache could be due to the allergies and sinusitis also. Do let us know what the neurologist tells you. Till then try some steam inhalation, saline nasal drops and antihistamine medications. Keep us posted. Regards.
As soon as I get into a place I get so dizzy and my vision is all messed up. I get so hot and sweaty and my heart races. I want my life back. I still dont believe that its just anxiety causing all of this. I feel like I have something else wrong that the doctors cant find even though i have had bloodwork, mri, ekg, and they were all normal. I started taking .25mg of xanax once a day. still dont feel any better yet. So if anybody has any help please give it to me.
On Tuesday I went to the hospital after getting a headache, vision blurring, and the right side of my body going numb, and slurred speech. This episode lasted about 15-20 minutes. I left the hospital and they said it was just a bad headache. I followed up with my pcp and he said it was TIA possibly due to my birth control Sprintec. At the hospital they did a head scan but it was inconclusive. My PCP has ordered another CT and Catscan which will be done later this month.
i am a 55 year old woman who has extreme anxiety and depression and worry constantly about everything, my children who are all having big big issues in life and my husband who has all sorts of problems can't even go into them all and i just have so many health problems i feel like a complete nuerotic basket case.
It has been over 4 weeks, and since the healing process has been over I have had a NO problems, and NO MORE BLEEDING! I am so relieved, I have not seen a spot of blood since the surgery and I am able to continue my life as normal!!! I just wanted to give you all an update as I too was lost and confused for many years about this mystery that seems to be quite common and uncomplicated after all...
well i had period problems and i am only 31 had 2 miscarrages over a 2 year period and was devistated i was not preg. i finally went to a gyno who was familiar,, skipped period, headaches, bloating, hair loss, feeling tired,,, i had blood work ..harmones were low.. had something called polycystic ovarian syndrome...
Everything went well, I got put on YAZ (in case anyone has anything to say about that little drug) and I was doing well when they asked if I would like to go ahead and have blood work done to check for any problems I might have concerning my thyroid gland, sugar levels, anything of that sort. I am deathly afraid of needles but I handle alright as long as I don't see it... and as soon as the needs goes in, I am fine. I just hate the way it lookes when it punctures the skin.
The third dr put me on YAZ to control horrible symptoms of PMS and to control the bleeding. She did not think the ultrasound showed significant fibroid issue. YAZ was good with moods but the bleeding never bacame regular or light. Last dr recommended scoping the uterus, biospies, dnc and ablation if all looked good. So I did that and have not had a period since.
For the past year I have had problems with dizziness and the inability to focus my eyes for several days at a time. In february 2008 I came down with viral meningitis. While in the hospital I had several CAT scans and MRI's to confirm that everything was normal. They tested my oxygen levels, multiple blood tests and did a spinal tap to confirm that it was viral meningitis.
I had iridotomies a year ago and my vision dropped from 20/20 in both eyes to 20/800 in my left eye and 200/700 in my right eye. I am hardly able to see anything. Iridotomies often lead to uveitis. It's a surgery that should simply be avoided, because it has so many side effects and very seldom prevents a glaucoma attack. It more often provokes it. What could be done to make doctors refrain from this dangerous surgery?
Hi Everyone and Welcome, Come on in and make yourself cozy. You can do this!
Thanks so much for your reply & advice. My customer said that because I am young & I have only had strange symptoms for 4 years, that a normal MRI would not be the deciding factor in ruling out MS. My ortho really didn't seem to know what was wrong with my spine. He also seems to think that I am going to need my left hip replaced in the future. He thinks that whatever is wrong with my spine, may have caused my femoral head to flaten.
Ultram set me off into severe visual vertigo, vomitting, heart palpitations, and the feeling as though I was on fire. I was put on Yaz(Estrogen) Dec. 2008 for menstrual cramping. I had to see my primary physician for severe fatigue in January, and began to become sensitive to sound in restaurants that month as well. My head would just not feel right. I had to carry cotton in my purse. In March of this year, I had an amalgam filling put in. No problems right after that.
a few milligrams too much or too little during the tapering process can cause problems. Switching over to Valium and going down from there is safer and can be adjusted much more easily.

I'm 50 and perimenopausal. Have had sleep problems and slightly shortened cycles (26 days instead of 33 for the past year or so). But the worst thing has been panic attacks and fear of driving on the freeway! I live in Los Angeles so you can just imagine what a problem it's been! Well, lo and behold, I went on the freeway yesterday and my anxiety has completely disappeared! This is what Yaz has done: 1.
Prior to that I had no menstrual problems. Now, right before and after my period, I have cramps, diarrhea, nausea, and really long cyles. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this.
I will take the rest of the 13 week pack and then see if things improve. Anyone else have these problems?
The end of last year I asked my doc if I could switch my Lexapro to Wellbutrin. He told me that the Lexapro and weight gain were not really related and to start dieting and exercising more and to stay on the Lexapro. Well I started tipping the scales at over 170 and felt awful. My sex drive was gone and I had no energy. My family was suffering along with me. About 3 months ago I started seeing a Bariatric Doctor to loose the weight. All was going great.
I’ve experienced speech problems such as delayed speech or using the wrong words. I have increased sensitivity to light and sound. I had my vision checked and by vision is perfect; however, I get blurry or double vision. I experience lots of visual snow and afterimages all over the place that will last a long time. I can’t drive at night due to light sensitivity. I have urinated on myself twice without knowing it and sometimes I have the urgency to urinate.
Its been 6 weeks since i started taking the pill and have experienced at least 3 major migraines blurred vision and in the last week severe anxiety attacks nausea and dizziness. I have suffered with anxiety disorder for 13 years but have managed to live a very happy life and still do things that i have always wanted to do although at times the anxiety disorder has been very challenging and believe me i have had moments where i could have easily given up.
I am now on the Glycemic Index Diet and have learned that foods can alter your hormones and cause several problems with your body. The period is usually the 1st thing we notice at a younger age. Then as we get older we notice more problems like Asthma, Type II Diabetis, Edema and several other problems. You don't have to be 300+ pounds to feel the effects of not being healthy. Some people are skinny and look fine (ON THE OUTSIDE).
It can't be stopped. Except for the fatigue that she's been experiencing, and the eye problems. But when she's ready......look out! I'm kind of kidding about the dufus doctor, but Q will certainly address the MRI questions and the EBV issues. I wish I could, but I am a lowly ballerina. I am window dressing around here. I introduce the main acts. Quix will be with you shortly!
SO she has cut me down on the first month to a 1/4 of what I was taking. I AM SICK. I FEEL REAL PAIN. I HURT from my own health problems and the withdraws. WHY are they not offering a detox plan? I have 14 brain disorders and I feel like I am dying. I called the office adminstration of the hospital. I was told that all of my complaints are totally vaild and all makes sense and adds up....but nothing has been done. I've been told that they can't make their doctors treat patients a certain way...
during the past year, i have experienced the most bizarre constellation of symptoms with the most worrisome being fatigue, vision problems, neurological symptoms and crippling headaches. i have had 5 MRIs, an MRA, a lumbar puncture, a ton of blood tests--except thyroid--and the only thing that has come up abnormal is my vitamin D level.
