I have been on Yaz for almost two months now. I haven't missed any pills but I did have stomach flu within the first three days of starting my first pack. I didn't see the pill in my vomit and continued to take them in the mornings like I usually do. The time I take my pill is within fifteen minutes on weekdays and about 2-3 hours later on weekends. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex 4 times about halfway through my 2nd pack of Yaz. He did not finish inside of me.
With all the commercials you see on TV about YAZ and Yasmin and all the problems it has caused, i cant imagine that the positives out weigh the negatives. Currently I am on Levlen birth control, it has the minimum amount of estrogen and it works wonderful! But because everyone is different, i would suggest doing some research on birth control types and find whats best for her, then talk to a doctor about those types you have looked over.

I am still the same weight but now I look almost pregnant, and i am positive i am not, but my stomach sticks out so much from bloating and it is making me miserable as well. I just want it to go away. Should I talk to my doctor about switching birth control meds? If so which ones wont make you bloated!!!

How can you gain weight if you have lost your appetite? I know that everytime I have lost my appetite I have lost a tremendous amount of weight. In the book that comes with Yaz it says that spotting may occur. Some of these pills work for some and some don't work for others. I have used Yaz and like it the best and my friend used it and it made her sick. It's too bad they didn't have a way to plug in your information and out pops an answer of what pill you should use.
hey my sister took yaz for 3 months and she had bad side effects, unable to get out of the bed due to having very bad stomach pains that pepto bismo would only ease the pain for a few minutes. she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.

I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) I just switched from Yaz .. back to yasmin. Yaz was horrible!!!!! I was very very depressed while taking yaz.. along with many other things. I switched to Yasmin because I was taking it before the Yaz and I had a great experience with it... So far I haven't had any problems with switching.
At the end of May (on the 18th), I had surgery on my stomach and stopped taking the Yaz. I had been forgetting to take them all month, and had a very light period right before the surgery. Anyway, come June, I got my period in the middle of the month, like on the 14th, which was weird considering my periods usually come at the end of the month. Then, on the 24th, I lost my virginity. We used a condom and were careful, etc.
I agree. And Yaz (recalled and undergoing a class-action suit in the US.) caused myself & my daughter to experience severe clotting, blood-loss, resultant anemia, & creation of serious plumbing problems in an old building that had been purchased via donations & grants for use as a community arts centre. Suffice it to say, I pray that they Never realise it was mostly due to That, and not faulty pipes - I couldn't ever afford to repay the damage and repairs that were undertaken...
By this point you probably know whether or not your girlfriend is pregnant...but if she is not and she is still having these symptoms please tell her that it is VERY likely that it is the YAZ which is causing her to have her symptoms. I began taking it about 2 weeks ago and on the second week began to feel terrible anxiety, depression, nausea, headaches, weird breathing problems (apparently caused by too much estrogen), crying all the time, etc...
I started later then i usually do and never done that and my period was really light and its usually heavy and it only lasted 2 days and never done that either. And now 3 days later im spotting brown stuff. And i have had the most migraines and never get headaches and ive had heartburns really bad. And my stomach has been killing me badly.
I have been on yaz for a year and I have noticed that since then I have been suffering from anxiety, panic attacks and depression. This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. Last week I had switched to the brand Loett to see if it makes a difference. I know this could take a few months to notice change but now I'm considering coming off it all together.
I've been on both Yazmin and Yaz (a different version of yazmin). Both have done me no favors. Instead of reducing the days I'm on my period it increased it by 3 days, with horrible cramping. Yaz was the strangest for me though. My hormones were very much out of wack, and had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever! I would not recommend it. I have had several friends (4) try Yaz as well and had many problems. Hopefully you have called a doctor about your rash though.
Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. I have been on Yaz for over a year and haven't had a period and hope to not have another one! :) It is very healthy not to have a period due to contraceptives such as these. I was on the Depo shot for 16 years and never had a period during that entire time! I had to stop that because it was causing a little bone-loss, however, with many calcium supplements that is now back to normal. I am a super healthy 35 year old. I have a child.
I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!
