Avatar m tn I've had 4 operations in the last 9 months for retinal detachment. After the first 3, my eye would always recover properly. The last operation which was done December 5th 2008, went well according to my doctor. I went to Africa for a little over a month to travel with family in January. I did everything the doctor told me, putting my eye drops in and not touching the eye as it healed. Now it's June, and for the past 3 months the upper eyelid on the affected eye has been swollen.
Avatar n tn I am 24 years old and around 6 years ago, I have experienced an eye lid retraction of both eyes but especially my right eye. My upper eye lid of the right eye had retracted all of a sudden however after a few days it came back to normal or nearly. My lower eye lid however is still slightly retracted and my lower right eyelid is a bit more retracted than my left one.
Avatar n tn i have the same problem. kind of. the lid on my right eye is lower, which gives the appearance that my eye is smaller. i usually sleep on tht side,so it could have more wrinkles. make sense?
Avatar m tn I noticed today that the "white" of my eyeball appears to be wrinkling a little bit--It feels a little itchy/irritated (I have allergies), and when I examine it close up, the white-part stuff moves and wrinkles. I don't see a wrinkle when I just look at my eye straight on, but if I move the lid etc, I can clearly see (and sort of feel) it. This is kind of freaking me out--could it be some kind of detachment? This eye, my left, is pretty nearsighted (-6.
Avatar f tn yesterday morning, i woke up with a small bump on my upper eye lid, barely noticable by distance, and slightly making that eye look smaller than the other this morning, i woke up with a bigger bump on my eye lid and my eye is a lot smaller. i really dont konw what could have caused this but the soap is just a hypothesis... when i touch my upper eyelid, i can feel a bump... s maybe its in the eye lid and not out.. ? i really would like to kow what this is...
Avatar n tn Hi, I am 28 year old female Lately I have been noticing minor lines around my eyes and some on my upper cheeks. The lines are not very noticeable only in bright light. Is it normal if you stare at your skin in bright light to see extremely fine lines around the mouth area besides the regular laugh lines further u p closer to the cheek. when i smile i get wrinkles around the eye and upper cheek. when i stop smilling i could see traces of those lines.
Avatar f tn Last night I felt pain on my upper eyelid. This morning was swollen and it is getting swollen by the minute associated with pain, no matter. I put cold compresses but it did not help. What do you suggest. thanks.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from multiple chalazia for the past 10 months.I am having a combination of very small chalazia at nearby places,so it appears like a big chalazion. My doctor told me that as my chalazia are of very small sizes, they cannot be remover surgically. However he added that he'll remove one of the chalazia over the upper eyelid of my left eye alone.I have undergone a chalazion surgery 6 months bck.
Avatar n tn They are on the head, I'm 24, they are constant, I'm monogomous, and they cover the entire head.
Avatar f tn It's not noticeable but it bothers me. It's been like this for 2 years. The left eyelid (the bigger one) has more "space" than the right one. The left eyelid has little tiny wrinkles (I'm 13) and the left eyelid looks more "out" as in it's puffy. When I blink the left eye lid comes a little slower than the right.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have lower lid problem since January 2009. Both lower lids become puffy, a little bit itchy, red, wrinkled and visibly dry. I went to ophthalmologist and was prescribed Tobradex (antibiotic/corticosteroid). This medication helped after I used it for a couple of weeks. I stopped using it, and everything was fine for a while, my lower eyelids were back to normal, without that awful wrinkles and puffiness and redness. But in about 10-14 days the problem started again.
Avatar m tn I would get a second opinion before having the surgery. Overcorrection and poor lid closure are risks of any upper lid procedure, if the eye lid droop is overcorrected.
Avatar f tn i have a problem with my Left eyelid and i am wondering what i can do to make it normal. my right eyelid has a single lid and my left has a double lid. i have at least 8-7 hours of sleep and i do go on the computer alot for homework and assignments. It used to happen occassionally, but now its almost permanent!
Avatar f tn A droopy upper lid is quite common after ocular surgery, and will frequently resolve on its own. I would wait another 3-4 months. If there is still a bothersome droop at that time, then an oculoplastic surgeon will be able to fix the lid with a procedure. Most likely, that will not be necessary.
1932338 tn?1349220398 yes it is possible as side effects of injecting face, lids, crow's feet include double vision or droopy upper lid (ptosis). It's more likely that the needle caused bleeding and the blood drained down channels around the eye and got the bruise. If it was botox you would expect problems like I outlined in the first sentence.
Avatar m tn What I mean is the upper lid hangs down slightly lower than the other upper lid (which happens to get more and more lazy and noticable depending on how tired I am). Also my lower lid comes up higher on my BP eye as well. So the end result is my BP eye looking very noticable smaller than my other 'healthy' eye. So my problem is *mostly* cosmetic, however when I'm tired my lid indeed comes down far enough for me to notice it and I do get less vision from that eye.
Avatar n tn About a month ago I started noticing a hard lil bump on my upper eyelid at first it didn't hurt so I just ignored it but then a couple weeks ago it started to really bug me it's really itchy so i'm constantly rubbing my eye it gets swellen and watery and really red,I've putting ice on it so the swelling to go away. I tried puttin eye drops aswell but they were for redness. Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be? Thank's for your help.
Avatar n tn like bumps, 2 around the same area on my lower eyelid, and one on my upper eyelid. Again on the outside of the lid, not underneath. My eye does not itch, is only mildly red, and just a little bit swollen, my lower eyelid became very dry and flaky. I am a nurse and I asked a PA what he thought they were and he said styes. I don't know if I believe his diagnosis. I thought styes only developed around the inside of the eyelids?
Avatar f tn hi. On my left eye on the left side I have a stye which really hurts and I have only had it for a couple of days. Now on the right side in the middle of the inside of my left eye I have a little lump with a white spot on it which really itches. I don't know if there is anything to be concerned about but I was wondering if I should see my Opthamologist or go to a Go2Doctor about my eye?
Avatar m tn Look directly into the mirror, gently pull the lower eye lid down and place the drop into the lower lid pocket, then close your eyes for a minute and dry your lids.
