Common Questions and Answers about Wrinkles on my hands

wrinkles

Had a Hysterectomy 2 years ago. It seems like I am aging on my face, neck and hands very rapidly. Don't know if it is due to lack of hormones. Hot flashes are also a problem. Is it possible to age faster than normal. Took hormones since I was 40 and went off at 60 years old.
After I take a bath or go swimming, my hands get extemely wrinkled. i know that its normal for your hand to get that way but mine is different. they wrinkle up SO much that they feel scaly. They also feel dry and tight. My mom says it could just be dehydration and that i should drink more water, but i have been drinking plenty lately. After that swine flu alert, i started using hand sanitizer. Could the hand sanitizer be the thing that effeecting my hands this way?
Over the last 6 mos. my hands have become increasingly dry with a quarter size area of my palm and other smaller areas having lost the top layers of skin These areas are symmetrical. In addition, the ends of my fingertips look like I have been soaking them in water with other areas of my fingers and hands having formed deep vertical lines, not necessarly dry but definetly apparent. My left small finger nail looks as if I have a fungus.
I have noticed that as menopause arrived, my hands became wrinkled. Is this normal?
Only when i stay in the pool too long or the bath too long.

hi, I have really deep wrinkles on my hands, the palms of them in particular. I'm only fourteen but my hands have been like this my whole life, is there any surgery possible that would cure them?
I have mostly criss-crossed marks across my finger pads, lines down my fingers, and random crossed lines on my hands. I've never had this before.
Hi. I've noticed that sometimes my hands (the back of them) will suddenly get wrinkly! I guess it's from dehydration, but why all of a sudden.? A few times I noticed it after a sudden chill. Can you explain what's going on? My doctor said it was normal but this has only happened in the past year or or two. Can you please explain what's happening?
Hi, I have wrinkled hands and feet as if I was in my 60's. I know it can probably sun damage, but my hands look a too old. What can be the cause and anything be done to make them look young again.
What may cause my daughter to have the skin on her hands become extremely wrinkled (way more than the average wrinkling that normally appears) plus a burning sensation that makes her cry during showering and swimming?
Hello, I was recently diagnosed with exfoliative keratolysis and prescribed a lactic acid based cream which has helped a bit with the peeling but i still (and for me more importantly) suffer from these very deep wrinkles and lines in my hands, i look some pictures for you which can be seen here. http://i.imgur.com/dyCx9.jpg i was wondering if there is anything that can be done about it? whether it be plastic surgery or creams etc, i'd like to have them become normal.
My left hand appears to have spots of dry skin on the palm that only disappear (when they disappear) with continuous applications of any of various skin lotions. Beyond that, my left thumbnail now is growing wrinkled, with small crosswise irregular ridges. No other fingernail on either hand nor toenail is wrinkled or odd. I do have spots (like pimples) that itch break out at random over my body, but I just live with that; my dermatologist has not been able to help.
18 m. So for the past couple of weeks I've noticed my hands were getting wrinkled surprisingly fast after taking showers (2-4mins), as well as these little white circles that are constantly popping up in new places on my palms every time I shower. I was circumcised a couple weeks back and took amoxicillin as an antibiotic; just adding that if it helps at all. I started taking adderall XR(20mg-40mg a day) a couple of weeks back too haha, a lot of stuff happened 2 weeks ago.
my fingertips have been wrinkled continuously for 5 months now and i cant figure out why. im not dehydrated and i havent been around any new chemicals. The wrinkled fingertips came on all of a sudden and its not so much like when you get out of the bath, the wrikles only go vertically, EVEN WHEN I HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND WATER AT ALL. im always putting on lotion soo there not dry. my mom had graves disease and had to get her thyroid removed.
im asking this on behalf of my partner, most people including myself get wrinkled fingers after being in water for a long amount of time but my partner's hands are different! he only has to put his hands in water for up too 5 mins (usually takes less time) and his fingers are completely wrinkled but too the point where it actually looks like the skin is peeling away from his nails!!! its very sore for him and can only endure it for a small amount of time due to the pain!
Also, the increased senstivity and tingling is becoming bothersome. My hands aren't exposed to anything harsh and I do drink plenty of water. I'm not aware of any underlying problem. Perhaps I should investigate those possibilities. Thanks.

I have never seen this discussed before but my hands are dry and wrinkled and my fingers tear and bleed at times and I live with bandaids on my finger tips. And my palms itch and my palms are always red. My arms are like tissue paper as if I am 80 years old...it is nice to know others share this problem with us. I just use a lot of lotion...try O'Keefes Working Hands, its the best I have tried.
about two monthe ago I noticed that the palms of my hands and my finger tips are very wrinkled, as if they had been soaking in water for hours. They are also extra sensative. Every thing I touch feels like it is sharp and feels like I have cut myself but haven't. What could cause this. My doctor thought it might be a vitamin deficiantcy, but blood work was fine.
For the last few months the palms of my hands and my fingertips have been getting these deep lines in them and my fingertips are also wrinkled - they feel like I've soaked my hands in water for hours. It's been getting a bit worse as time goes by. Anyone have any idea what could be the problems?
For the last week or so, when I wash my hands they almost immediately wrinkle (as they normally would after about 15-20 minutes of showering). Any idea what has caused this and how I can get my skin back to its normal state?
A month ago my arms and legs started wrinkling. I got moisturizers that seem to help. Now my fingertips look like I have been in water all day. I searched internet and started drinking 8 glasses of water (64 oz) a day. Nothing Changed. Moistuizers at night work but as soon as I get my hands wet again at all.. Back to prune fingers. TSH tests came back normal in September. Had Hormone levels checked.
After about 10th day I started noticing improvements with my skin on my penis and on my hands (I had a dry/flaky skin there too). I also noticed that I have increased urination. Now I wake up at night to urinate. Maybe because I drink more due to dry mouth. Not sure if all of those symptoms are connected but I wanted to ask you if you think that my skin issues on penis, dry mouth and increased urination may be a result of some urological issue?
I don't think I abnormally wash my hands, probably 2-3 time a day. It takes so long to get in with my neurologist, probably by the time I would go to see him the symptoms might be gone, who knows. Thank you for you suggestions!
Not only do I have deep wrinkles beneath my eyes, on my forehead, and around my mouth, but as of the last year I have developed adult onset acne as well. I don't understand, while my girlfriends are slathering themselves with baby oil and roasting in the sun, I'm the one with premature wrinkles that make most people think I'm closer to 30 than 20. I come to this forum begging for any advice someone may have about my condition.
well a couple of days ago i masterbated and now my penis has wrinkles on the head and dead skin sheads off my penis, and it iches alot and it hurts . can somebody tell me wats going on!!
My face and hands both show my age and then some, my face is gaunt, and the lines on my face are getting deeper. Moisturizers aren't helping much. Yes, I agree, better low cholesterol then worrying about my face, This aging thing sneaked up on me so I am still trying to get use to it, with little success.
