Common Questions and Answers about Wrinkles on my hands

wrinkles

Had a Hysterectomy 2 years ago. It seems like I am aging on my face, neck and hands very rapidly. Don't know if it is due to lack of hormones. Hot flashes are also a problem. Is it possible to age faster than normal. Took hormones since I was 40 and went off at 60 years old.
i believe i share the same problems as most but what is extremely weird about mine is that where the wrinkles stand on my scalp it seems like my hair struggles to grow. my hair only grows in full and thick at the ridges of the wrinkles. this is making me extremely depressed because i worry every day if i am going bald or not. please if any1 finds a solution help out.
I had this exact same condition on my palms, and so did my little sister. The solution is simple!! I did some research and found out that Drysol (typically used under the arms as an anti-persperant) works to get rid of this. You can find it at any drugstore...and fyi if you have very sweaty underarms it's a miracle drug. Just apply Drysol to your palms before bed, and within a day or two the condition should clear up! I did this and told my sister to as well and we haven't had a problem since.
Not only do I have deep wrinkles beneath my eyes, on my forehead, and around my mouth, but as of the last year I have developed adult onset acne as well. I don't understand, while my girlfriends are slathering themselves with baby oil and roasting in the sun, I'm the one with premature wrinkles that make most people think I'm closer to 30 than 20. I come to this forum begging for any advice someone may have about my condition.
Also found out that your estrogens and progesterone effect every single organ inluding thyroid. My doctor has me on low dose of estrogen and progesterone and my wrinkles are disappearing so I'm hopeful :) I also have a history of high cholesterol even before menopause. You may want the doctor to check your thyroid as well. Moisturizers, etc. weren't doing me ANY good either, just kept getting worse.
Sometimes my periods have been a bit early, but they are pretty regular and the only other thing I have experienced, and that has been for about 5 years now, is my digestion/bloatedness after eating. About a 6 weeks ago, veins started showing in my hands and they have stayed permanently. They have progressed to quite bulging at times and they are starting to gradually increase. They sometimes seem to throb. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed my arms would wrinkle like crepe paper when I bent them.
I've seasonal reoccuring ecyzema on my hands and have had a genital wart removed from the base my penis 6 months ago. So any suggestions would be great, especially if there is anything to reverse the effect. Thanks!

I am having the same thing. Small lines on my fingertips all the way down my fingers and lots of wrinkles and lines I never had before. Just came on suddenly.
some poeple use aging lotion on their hands....the same kind one would use on face. it might get expensive though. for instance, oil of olay for wrinkles.
The wrinkles appeared on my tops of hands first, and this is still the main place they show, but they also began appearing noticeably all over my body. If this sounds similar to the condition you have, further info is here: http://chronicsorethroat.wordpress.com/ I hope this helps.
im 19 years old and since i was younger there is stages in my life were my fingers get super sensitive, they art getting wrinkles and they even peel off, most of the times it hurts..what can it be?
I am 60 and there are wrinkles in my hands, they may go away and come back I do work taking tags off of shelves. Could this have any thing to do with it?
I have recently developed the same symptoms as quite a few here have described; hands down, bluish, mottled. Hands up, clear. wrinkles and skin easily indented. My Dr says that I have Raynauds. I have also been diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder, so Raynauds fits...but it doesnt, according to all the descriptions I have read. Further research has led me to believe that it could be related (including the source of my connective tissue like pain) to TOS..Thoracic outlet syndrome.
Hi there, There can be several causes of wrinkles on the hands like allergic reaction due to chemicals within your cleaning supplies and even from chemicals in your beauty products such as fingernail polishes and removers. UV rays, the loss of elasticity, aging and poor nutrition are few other factors causing wrinkles. The best way of fighting any wrinkles is to maintain a healthy diet. Drink plenty of water and maintain hydration.
I don't spend a lot of time in the sun, I have had a physical and am healthy, but the skin on the top of my hands is sort of shiny, dry but wrinkly. I am only 39. The top layer of my skin on my legs also is wrinkly. My hands are obvious to my family, but my legs they are not close enough to see. I can only describe it as the very top layer looks almost like an onion skin layer with wrinkles. I don't know if this is a good way to word it.
So i'm trying to get my GP to listen. I will post them in a few! I'm more concerned about the lines on my forehead..do they go away?
Hi, About a week or two ago I noticed that after a shower the skin on the palms of my hands got a lot more 'pruny' than usual. The prune wrinkles, if you will, were also not like usual, instead of the typical lines and wrinkles, it was just sort of more of a bumpy mess. Upon closer inspection, there are also a multitude of very small holes/pores, about a quarter to a half a millimeter in diameter, on the affected area. These don't appear on non-affected areas.
hi, I have really deep wrinkles on my hands, the palms of them in particular. I'm only fourteen but my hands have been like this my whole life, is there any surgery possible that would cure them?
Also, I use cetaphil or some type of lotion everytime I wash my hands. The red, itchy, pus filled bumps on the outside of my right hand have healed and my inside hands have also healed. I have one crack on a finger, but it is a 98% improvement.
I have never considered having too many lines or wrinkles on my hands and feet a problem. Although whenever I need fingerprint testing they need to be redone because I have too many lines in my fingertips and palms. I was curious to know if this is a medical condition? That I know of I have always had my hand like this and I am in my 20's. To me they are no problem or bother, but is there something that contributes to this?
All through out my life I've had severely aged hands. They're dry with deep wrinkles and have a very hard texture to them. Is there any natural cure or treatment that can help this?
LOL I always make sure I have shoes that are easy to slip on and can be loosened to accomodate. My swelling has gotten so bad that I could lay my hand on my thigh for a few minutes and when I picked it up there was a perfect indent of my hand including where the wrinkles/creases are. It's VERY uncomfortable, if you haven't already, make sure you mention it to your doc as soon as possible. It could be NOTHING or it could be SOMETHING...
Hi my name is Emily and I am 14 I have had wrinkly hands/fingers/palms and I put on lotion alot but I just can't get rid of the wrinkles. These wrinkles are very embrassing and some are very deep. I feel like I have tryed everything, please help...
First off, I used to get blisters on my hands from being outside when is was extremwly cold (I live in Canada so it gets pretty cold). My hands being dry they would sometimes crack and bleed. But recently I've started getting white blisters that look like air bubbles under my skin, it's not very cold out and I've been even applying moisturizer to my hands. Even wearing gloves I still get them.

Hello there, I have a question regarding a skin problem on my left hand thumb. For about 7-8 years I have had an odd lump of dead skin/dry skin that is bright red and covers the entire of the thumb joint. My thumb has full maneuverability but it cracks sometimes which causes severe pains for me. I remember I got this issue shortly getting a wart frozen from the same finger as a child.
I was diagnosed with Essential Tremor Disorder a year ago. Over the past 3-4 months my hands/wrists go to sleep and then it wakes me up several times in the middle of the night with the tingling and numbness. Should I be concerned about this?
