I just started to swim in a vinyl pool and was wondering if the new vinyl smell has anything to do with the burning lungs I get within 1hour of swimming. No previous chlorine allergy.

I can still see the incision marks on my skin. NO WAY am I putting those in a public swimming pool, hot tub, and especially this lovely lake here in MI. I might risk the ocean....I am not sure why....maybe it is the salt water. But even that I would think dangerous. Put on the swim suit. Put the panty liner over your wound. Let the kids splash you without guilt. Run thru sprinklers...HAVE FUN!! ...but avoid total immersion. If it happens by accident...

you shouldn't wear a panty liner while swimming. it will just soak up the water and it won't do you any good. I would just wait until you are comfortable using tampons.

About a week ago, she felt her whole body started to itch after swimming in the pool for about 20 minutes and the itchiness got more severe while she stayed in the pool. So she had to stop swimming and got up from the pool. After she showered, the itchiness went away. Since that, the same thing happened every time she swam even she went to a different pool. It seems to me that she is allergic to some pool chemical. But I don’t know why she never had the problems before.

Is it okay to do handstands and flips in the pool? I'm not talking like jumping off the side of the pool flips just when I'm sitting in the pool. I'm 8 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I've avoided swimming with my other pregnancies but my husband is insisting the baby will be fine.

s almost impossible for your water to break while in the pool since the pressure of the pool water counteracts with your water bag. I was really worried at first but swimming is amazing! You feel weightless and super relaxed :) just don't go swimming after your water breaks because that can cause infection.
