I just started to swim in a vinyl pool and was wondering if the new vinyl smell has anything to do with the burning lungs I get within 1hour of swimming. No previous chlorine allergy.

Just be safe I didn't lose my mucus plug and my Placentas wasn't perforated and I still got infections when I would swim in a pool. Goes to show everyone is different. This may not be something serious. Wash the hands using a mild cleanser. Moisturize the hands using a mild and light vitamin E cream to keep it from drying. Drink plenty of water and avoid exposing the hands to chemicals and substances that may cause drying of skin.
