Avatar f tn Try red light therapy. Most tanning salons have beds that are exclusive to red light therapy... Not only does it help stretch marks but it will also help minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Massage therapists also use it on problematic areas like bad shoulders or knees. I've found it works wonders.
Avatar f tn Im only 6weeks& 5 days, do you think its safe to use tanning beds. I have heard mixed opionions about it?
Avatar f tn No you can not get herpes from a tanning bed. Remember they are called sexually transmitted for a reason.
Avatar f tn Full body red light therapy is offered at tanning salons... But it does NOT tan you. It has nothing to do with tanning at all.. They just use tanning beds with red light therapy bulbs so you can get full body therapy instead of singular area therapy like they offer at medical offices. I pay 20 dollars a month (in Canada) for unlimited usage. I can go for a 20 minute session every single day if I like. It has helped me SO much.
318269 tn?1241350235 After you start to show a lot more, switch to spray tan or self tanner. You do NOT want to faint from overheating in a tanning booth. Try explaining THAT to your Doctor!! Have fun.

Avatar f tn I am almost 50 years old, have dry skin, brown spots on my face from early years using tanning beds and the sun and am showing little wrinkles between the brows, smile line and crows feet by the eyes. I did go to a Aesthetician for some regiment to use on my face since I have really never used skin care products. The product that was recommended for my face and the issues I mentioned was Obagi System by NU-Derm.
Avatar f tn There is a direct link between tanning beds and melanoma. Melanoma is very serious. Please give up the tanning beds!!! Spray tans or lotions are a better choice!
Avatar f tn The effects of the deep over all heat from the tanning lights last throughout most of day. It is wonderful. I know people say tanning is bad...but when you suffer every day w/ no relief the benefits outweigh the risks. I do 3x a week for 10-20 minutes. I am 58 years old. Just thought I would share this treatment if it can help anyone else.
Avatar n tn I am 33 and have stange wrinkles on my forearm too! I am currently breastfeeding my 12 1/2 month old...Strange link between us all..would love some anwsers..
1352717 tn?1276971442 Tanning beds would go against conventional wisdom of heat causing MS to be worse. If it works for you I guess that is good.
Avatar f tn I think as long as her core temp doesn't get too high it should be fine. Some Obs are more conservative than others.
Avatar f tn Why would anything natural like that be bad for you and the baby? On the flip side, tanning beds give you super charges of artificial UV rays from only a few inches away. That's what will fry your baby. Plus, tanning beds are just bad for everyone.
Avatar f tn You need to stop. It will cook your baby. Tanning bed cook from the inside out!!
Avatar n tn No. And I wish there was because I was a tanning bed-aholic for 8 years, I'm 25, and I too have psoriasis. But I stopped because of a mole my dr. removed that when tested they thought it would eventually have turned into melanoma. And they had to take more skin from the area so now I have an ugly scar on my leg. The euro tanning beds that you only go three times a month call themselves the "safe" tanning beds, because they do not contain some certain UV light that causes burning...
Avatar n tn I am a 42 yr old female with a history of tanning bed use. I had a mole removed from my back and my results came back as mild atypical for melanoma. For now it was begnign. My question is am I now predisposed for this type of cancer? Is my risk higher than someone who has not had this type of a mole? How common is this? And what are the chances this mole could grow back as a melanoma? I am very scared. Am I overreacting?
10256164 tn?1408981241 I feel like it's an obvious no for tanning beds.. but what about spray tans?
