Common Questions and Answers about Wrinkles from sun exposure

wrinkles

Avatar f tn I have acquired what I believe is sun spots from too much exposure and those areas are now white. Is there a product on the market that can be purchased so that the white spots will even out with the rest of my skin? I also have a lot of age spots (brown spots) on my legs and arms; which I believe is also from the sun and tanning beds. Is there also a product for this available on the market?
Avatar f tn My difficulty in getting a straight answer from these doctors, who have in so far as yet recommended sun block and over the counter hydroquinone, has prevented me from getting treatment for this weird wrinkling. What is this wrinkling? Is it collagen loss? Is it fibrous tissue that replaced collagen that has attached itself to underlying muscle? What could cause pitting and what could cause pitting to turn into wrinkles? Can you give me a medical description of what happened to my skin?
Avatar n tn Also, using sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 during the day or during prolonged exposure to the sun may help reduce wrinkles. Drink plenty of water and use only a mild facial cleanser such as Cetaphil over the face.
1323580 tn?1274669941 I have consulted with a dermatologist, she said a had slight sun damage and the wrinkles and gave me a prescription. I purposely started using the Tretinoin .05 generic cream in the winter so when i started the treatment i could avoid for the most part the problem of sunburns. I have been using it for two weeks now putting it on once a day before i go to bed and using a moisturizer in the morning to help with flaking.
Avatar f tn However, one must remember that too much sun exposure can cause sun spots on the face, premature wrinkles, and even skin cancer. Hope that this information helps and hope that you will get better soon. Wishing you good health.
Avatar m tn Hi, Other factors that can cause lines in the face include excessive sun exposure, smoking squinting, habitual facial expressions. Sun protective measures such as wearing sunglasses, sunscreen and avoiding smoking may help. Moisturize often with a high quality cream, and do light massage around the eye area daily. If it persists, have this evaluated further by your dermatologist for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn It is difficult to diagnose without actually seeing the lesions. Exposure to sun causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces.Treatment of skin lesions is individualized and is determined by the type, size and location and the patient's preference. It is best to see a dermatologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Have you seen good results, specifically whether it may have helped with smoking wrinkles and sun damage. I know that you cannot get rid of wrinkles from smoking. However, does retinol help to fade somewhat or make them less noticeable? What about sun damage - sun spots and pigmentation issues? I have very fair skin and am paying the price all around. Thank you!!!
Avatar n tn How are you? Here are some tips on wrinkle prevention and anti wrinkle products reviewed from this link: http://www.wrinklereview.com/prevention.html Do not smoke because smoking exposes your skin to all those damaging free radicals. Stay out of the sun as much as possible, especially during the "danger hours" when UV light is at its peak (10 am to 4 pm). Always wear sunscreen on your face when going outside in the sunlight.

Avatar f tn https://postimg.cc/gallery/2s5b5j52a/ Couldn't take a really good picture of everything due light and such. It's worse in person. So, I'm 16 and people always say I look older/my smile is bad due to the wrinkles.
Avatar n tn My daughter is eight, and she went on a field trip at school, and was in the sun all day. This was a week ago. Since then she has had this red leopard shaped rash. It seems to go a way a little bit when she is out of the sun. We were driving and the part on here leg that is getting sun from the window made here leg break out in that rash. it doesn't seem to be raised, but it is all over in the areas that get exposed. Does anyone know what this may be?
Avatar f tn Telangiectasia are small dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin or mucous membranes. It can be due to venous hypertension, sun or cold exposure, skin trauma, carcinoid syndrome or CREST syndrome. Sclerotherapy and laser treatment are the two main treatment options. Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn You've twisted my message, which was intended to illustrate how low your risk was -- and you're reacting with increased worry, instead of reduced, because I didn't say absolute zero! Lipodystrophy wrinkles?? As judged by an anxious, medically untrained person?? I don't think so! When a sex worker looks alarmed after a condom failure, almost always it's because she knows she isn't infected and intends to stay that way.
Avatar n tn Hi, Are you talking about a malignant nodule in the lung? The exposure from the sun will place you at risk for cancers of the skin. While there are cancers of the skin that would have a tendency to metastasize the lung (melanoma), these would usually have a preliminary finding in the skin.
Avatar n tn almost like it was sunburn (i have not been in the sun). 6 hours later, i was horrified to see a bunch of wrinkles under my eyes...well defined and they were not there previously. i immediately thought of allergy, and have been on benydril since, and while the condition is no worse, the eye wrinkles are still quite prevailing. any thoughts?
Avatar n tn Hi Frequent washing or prolonged exposure to water may cause wrinkles on the skin. In the absence of redness, scaling, discharge and pain in the area, this may not be something that you should be very worried about. Just avoid manipulating the area. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. You may use a mild or light vitamin E cream over the affected area to moisturize it. Observe if the skin improves in appearance.
Avatar f tn Just to clarify, I'm def not going out in the sun to "tan". What I'm referring to is that when I do go out in the sun -- sports activities, etc -- I have started to develop somewhat of a tan through the maxium sunblock and coverups (hat) I use. For the first two summers I would just burn. BTW the sun sensitivity is primarily on my face so it's hard to tell how much is from the rosacea and how much isn't especially when the treatment caused the rosacea.
Avatar f tn It is stil very sore in the corners. I have never had this problem. Now I limit sun exposure and leave tanning beds alone.
1126418 tn?1326165992 From the Skin Cancer Foundation Are you a UV tanner? From a landmark study confirming that exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light (radiation from the sun or tanning machines) is the most common cause of melanoma to the proposed tax on the use of indoor tanning beds, there are a host of reasons to give up tanning. We hope you’ll keep them in mind in the new year. For the whole article: http://www.skincancer.org/five-great-reasons-to-give-up-uv-tanning-in-2010.
Avatar m tn d like feedback from a dermatologist, if possible, about blood/tissue exposure due to prolonged exposure to sun (high UV?). I don't find any thing similar online, and I'm reluctant to contact a dermatologist because of it. (I've read of similar "tomato" issues, but I think it was exposure to light, although I'm not sure).
