Common Questions and Answers about Wrinkles coconut oil

Avatar m tn ps -- I was recommended Virgin Coconut Oil from the health-food store, for my dog with itchy skin. (I believe I was supposed to feed it to her.) The jar I got had solidified, and I needed to heat little amounts of it briefly to bring it back to an oil form. That stuff was so tremendously emollient that I've been tempted to try making a little poultice for my feet with it. I'll bet it would feel great.
Avatar f tn I cleanse with a completely chemical free cleanser, and moisturize regularly with unprocessed virgin coconut oil. I never moisturize with products containing mineral oil, fragrances, propylene glycol, etc. I don't even use shampoos, conditioners, or body wash that contains anything that might be remotely harmful to my face, because I have truly disastrous skin.
Avatar f tn Coconut oil is amazing!! You can buy it at the grocery store really cheap. If you mix it with sugar until its pasty and rub it on your skin for 10 mins it'll make your stretch marks disappear. I've been doing it for about two weeks now and mine are almost gone.
393685 tn?1425812522 I've tried the olive oil thing too - but i hated that greasy feeling so I searched for something new. I've been using organic coconut oil. It works as well as the olive oil without the greasies. Roughly the same price as olive oil and a tiny amount goes a long way. Three cheers for natural products that work!

1477071 tn?1288288585 I use some coconut oil daily for Alzheimer's prevention. My mother died of that illness. While it probably does have some antiviral and antimicrobial effects, I don't expect it will make much difference with Hepatitis. The lauric acid seems to be beneficial for lungs at it is in the coating. The medium chain triglycerides are a pretty safe form of fat and seem to reduce brain shrinkage from normal aging in healthy people.
Avatar m tn Not only does it feel like i'm leaking, but the head of my penis has had small red and yellow patches of skin for about 6 months now. Not only that, but it looks super dry sometimes. Also after my erection goes down, the head of my penis looks SO wrinkly, honestly i don't even know if i should call them wrinkles. It looks rough and weird. I've tried everything. Doctors gave me anti fungals for balanitis, I've also tried to moisturize it, coconut oil, aloe vera gel. nothing works.

907968 tn?1292622204 In the mean time I was reading up on Low Total Cholesterol and I noticed Coconut oil/milk is great for raising cholesterol, (or was it for raising HDL? which is also very low). Reading up on canned Coconut milk, if let to stand some will separate into the milk and cream. I do love coconut but have never had coconut milk so I don't know what to expect as to weather I'll like it or not or if I'll like cream over milk or milk over cream.

9868019 tn?1411157797 I've read that eating coconut oil is good for many different reasons but how do you eat it?? It looks gross and I don't want to get sick haha. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Alright, so I've read up a lot on coconut oil. I know that using it to substitute butter and olive oil in cooking is supposed to be healthier. Also, I've read that coconut oil is 90% saturated fat, however it's still extremely good for you. So, my question is, how are you supposed to take it to lose weight? I've read that some people eat 2 tbl spoons daily, plus cook with it. And I've heard some people mix it in everything hot that they eat. Any ideas? Thank you.
8222051 tn?1408285093 I use it daily and I'm due tomorrow. I have a light stretch mark on my stomach and that's it. I added bio oil to my coconut oil while the mark was still red and it faded.
Avatar n tn I have patch tested coconut oil on my skin many times with no reaction. When i put it in my hair as a conditioner or near my face, my eyes get sticky, and i get post nasal drip and feel like i have a bad cold. Is this an allergic reaction to coconut oil even though it does not effect my skin?
Avatar f tn I love coconut oil. I have been using it on my whole and hair for a year or so. I love natrual oil like jojoba, almond, avocado, and castor oil. I mixed them all together and some times drop a little bit of lavender oil for a good relaxing smell. It work as an all over moisturizer. :) like MamaMacMurtry has said it is important to get the pure orgain kind of these oils. If the first ingredient doesn't match the oils you picking up it has been diluted and may be less effective.
