Avatar n tn Or is it like if you have warm and tight environment, you can get it despite using any external or internal thing?. I have stress since long time and also loose skin but never got this ever. I am also concerned of its spread at workplace if its ongoing (which I am not sure)- Need advice on that. Or is it like even if some spores are exposed, it is unlikely people will get it?. I think the spores don't die on dry but can exist on carpets, seats etc.
Avatar f tn I started a new Job in October and ever since then I have had difficulty breathing and some days I lose my voice almost totally. I have been in and out of the Dr and now using Symbicort and taking prednisone. It is wierd this only happens during the week while I am at work. Weekends seen to be fine after a little time away. Is this Asthma or am I alergice to my workplace? Should I test the air quality?
10452875 tn?1436484351 Look into what HR has for workplace accommodation, that might include you needing to sit whenever you need to. If its not something they can accommodate they might be able to release you early for leave. Look into it.
Avatar f tn I just found out that I lost my work today because I cannot stay well in a workplace that has clorox, paint, polyurethane, bacteria, with NO return air. I am in a very specialized field--I teach newly arrived refugees from Burma, Africa, etc. tospeak English. It may be too late, but is there any kind of mask I could get and still teach--I guess, however, that it would have to cover nose, mouth and eyes--maybe I coul wear it half the time. I need/love the work.
Avatar m tn Obstructive sleep apnea could be a reason for you to wake up frequently in order to regain your breath—sometimes resulting in number of awakenings per night, many times you may not even be aware of it ending up having excessive daytime sleep because of fatigue, feeling unrefreshed after sleeping, and daytime sleep attacks (nodding off at inappropriate or unexpected moments) at your workplace. Added to all these the stress you are going through can be a trigger.
Avatar n tn It definitely sounds as though you were in a hostile work environment that caused you a great deal of stress and eventually caused you to have to seek a new position. The fact that your immediate supervisor was involved rather than trying to help you is also deplorable...and wrong. However, the burden of proof in a legal situation is on you. If the new job caused you to take a pay cut, then you certainly could seek damages for the loss of income, not to mention rank.
Avatar n tn m not much help regarding the buzzing in the ears. It could be related to high stress or anxiety, or uncontrolled blood pressure, sinusitis, ear disease like menier's disease, or medication side effects. Make sure your hearing is tested and of course see your primary care doctor to have a whole body physical exam and see an opthalmologist becauese of the eyestrain. I wonder if you might have some problems with your workplace - such as enviromental issues.
Avatar n tn You should avoid bending down and doing such chores at home or workplace. Take care while using washroom. In any case bleeding should not occur. Mostly the placenta will change its position by eighth month or so. And things will go normal.
506514 tn?1210785523 Hi PeacelsAlllWant, how are you? Can you give some details of the nature of job you are doing? Usually the stress and strain to the body does cause a bit of muscle soreness at the end of a hard day out. The events at the workplace if bothering might also make you mentally stressed. When you are not working probably you might be following a set sleep cycle, which might make you sleep better. It is better to keep yourself physically active whether at work or not and follow a healthy sleep habits.
975514 tn?1324997938 I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have CFS and or FMS and are dealing with stress in the workplace. For those of us who are still working, the economy in the US and perhaps in the UK too has been extremely tense over the last couple of years. This has compounded the pressures I think we usually feel at work dealing with our illness and managing our careers. How do you all do it? I find myself struggling to keep a healthy balance.
446650 tn?1257611215 Then I made the decision to start my own company with a friend of mine. A housekeeping business. I was out everyday and getting houses to clean. I started using again one day and now I am back to 3 pills a day and I feel like hell. I dont know why i started again. I guess i just wasnt ready to go back to real life. I don't know what to do. I want to stay at home and just hide from everything that triggers me to use. I cant do that for lots of reasons, I cant afford it for one.
Avatar m tn ve heard from other co-workers that cold sores spread like wildfire in such a workplace...so does this mean that when I touch a surface e.g. use a keyboard that she has been using, that I too will get herpes if I touched their mouth/touched their genitals whilst wiping in the toilet? I don't carry the herpes virus as far as I know!
760862 tn?1243097304 t understand why they wont give you a cortisone shot in your hip or at least some anti-inflamatory meds but you have to beleive there is a reason other then them expecting you to be all better already. That will only make you stress more and stress is one of our bodies worst enemies, I know, I'm nuerotic and stressed 24-7, I'm not doing myself any favors. I hope someone posts who is going through or has gone through what you are so that they can give you some comfort and advice.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel and I react exactly the same to work stress. My only answer for myself is that I've decided to quit my job and look for something less high profile. I think we have to be aware of our 'stress vulnerability' with Bipolar, it really is a very big trigger, possibly the biggest trigger of all to mood episodes. As ILAD says I think we have to learn what coping skills work for each of us. Work stress drove me to drinking badly, and made my BP even worse.
Avatar n tn Rapid oral fluid products are not approved for use in workplace drug testing programs and are not FDA cleared. Using rapid oral fluid drug tests in the workplace is a violation of many state and federal laws.

Avatar n tn I lost a baby at 17 weeks, then it took a while to become pregnant again which I think was due to an excess of workplace stress. (Within 6 months of leaving that job, I was successfully pregnant.) There is a 5 1/2 year age gap between my 1st and 2nd. Not what I wanted, but that's just the way it worked out. Then I was 35 when I became pregnant with our 3rd and we were not even trying! Eat healthy, continue to exercise, make healthy lifestyle choices and everything should be fine.
Avatar n tn After the exam, the pain started to subside, so I attributed the pain to stress. Later that night, I went out with husband for Valentine's day and we ended the night with intercourse. The next morning the pain was back but only this time the pain was located on my right, down my shoulder and arm. I tried everything unsuccessfully until I was forced to go to the emergency room on 02/20/08.
