Avatar n tn Hi guys, I am in my 19th week and I had my 2nd level scan, it says the placenta is posteriorly located and is in upper segment. The maturity grade of placenta is 1. Can someone explain this to me! Is everything normal?
10452875 tn?1436484351 Look into what HR has for workplace accommodation, that might include you needing to sit whenever you need to. If its not something they can accommodate they might be able to release you early for leave. Look into it.
Avatar f tn I just found out that I lost my work today because I cannot stay well in a workplace that has clorox, paint, polyurethane, bacteria, with NO return air. I am in a very specialized field--I teach newly arrived refugees from Burma, Africa, etc. tospeak English. It may be too late, but is there any kind of mask I could get and still teach--I guess, however, that it would have to cover nose, mouth and eyes--maybe I coul wear it half the time. I need/love the work.
Avatar f tn The two that were in the bipolar forum one on whether a person is looking for employment and would accept a job as related to coping with issues from depression in the workplace and one on techniques for coping with stress (that might have been a question not a poll but it could be made into one) might work.
Avatar n tn It definitely sounds as though you were in a hostile work environment that caused you a great deal of stress and eventually caused you to have to seek a new position. The fact that your immediate supervisor was involved rather than trying to help you is also deplorable...and wrong. However, the burden of proof in a legal situation is on you. If the new job caused you to take a pay cut, then you certainly could seek damages for the loss of income, not to mention rank.
Avatar n tn m not much help regarding the buzzing in the ears. It could be related to high stress or anxiety, or uncontrolled blood pressure, sinusitis, ear disease like menier's disease, or medication side effects. Make sure your hearing is tested and of course see your primary care doctor to have a whole body physical exam and see an opthalmologist becauese of the eyestrain. I wonder if you might have some problems with your workplace - such as enviromental issues.
506514 tn?1210785523 Hi PeacelsAlllWant, how are you? Can you give some details of the nature of job you are doing? Usually the stress and strain to the body does cause a bit of muscle soreness at the end of a hard day out. The events at the workplace if bothering might also make you mentally stressed. When you are not working probably you might be following a set sleep cycle, which might make you sleep better. It is better to keep yourself physically active whether at work or not and follow a healthy sleep habits.
1945565 tn?1330465775 I recently lost a job due to what I thought was a complication with one of my meds. They caused me to be cloudy during the intro sessions which made it difficult to learn everything necessary for the position. My pdoc asked if I'd mentioned my medications to my workplace before I got fired, my answer was no. This has had me wondering, though. Should I be claiming disability/that I am bipolar II from the beginning to possibly avoid this kind of problem in the future?
975514 tn?1324997938 I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have CFS and or FMS and are dealing with stress in the workplace. For those of us who are still working, the economy in the US and perhaps in the UK too has been extremely tense over the last couple of years. This has compounded the pressures I think we usually feel at work dealing with our illness and managing our careers. How do you all do it? I find myself struggling to keep a healthy balance.
Avatar f tn it all depends on how u deal with stress. When you are stressed out, your body pumps out different hormones-obviously the stress hormones that increase heart rate n things like that. Some stress is normal. N if u can cope with them, your body's stress hormones level out but if you're constantly stressed, u can be affecting the baby. I remember learning in school that too much stress during pregnancy can be associated with low birth weight and/or premature birth.
Avatar n tn For instance the treadmill can measure in METs (metabolic equivalent tasks) the energy expended at a given level of exertion. At a given MET level, vital signs are monitored, heart rate, respiration, etc. For a perspective 1 MET is the amount of energy to quietly sit, 2-4 METs to walk up a flight of stairs ( 7 METs usually qualifies for surgery. Ten METs is very good condition, etc. No need to be scared.
Avatar f tn Hi Krista -- I hear your stress through the post :-/ It's not the end of the world with high FSH - admittedly yours is on the high side but there are plenty of stories of women with high FSH getting pregnant. I'm not sure about the stress connection, but there may be reasons for your high reading (including the lab used).
1529159 tn?1295032800 Do anything you can to relieve the stress level you are experiencing, for example...take a walk, read a book, take a long hot bath, visit with some old friend, exercise. Getting fresh air is also one of the best ways to bring your body back into it's cacadian rhythem (it's natural sleep cycle). I agree with freddie8605, try going to bed a little earlier, but get up earlier. Don't lay around doing nothing. Try not to take naps, so that you are truly tired when it is time for bed.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel and I react exactly the same to work stress. My only answer for myself is that I've decided to quit my job and look for something less high profile. I think we have to be aware of our 'stress vulnerability' with Bipolar, it really is a very big trigger, possibly the biggest trigger of all to mood episodes. As ILAD says I think we have to learn what coping skills work for each of us. Work stress drove me to drinking badly, and made my BP even worse.
Avatar f tn Weekends seen to be fine after a little time away. Is this Asthma or am I alergice to my workplace? Should I test the air quality?
