10452875 tn?1436484351 Look into what HR has for workplace accommodation, that might include you needing to sit whenever you need to. If its not something they can accommodate they might be able to release you early for leave. Look into it.
Avatar f tn I just found out that I lost my work today because I cannot stay well in a workplace that has clorox, paint, polyurethane, bacteria, with NO return air. I am in a very specialized field--I teach newly arrived refugees from Burma, Africa, etc. tospeak English. It may be too late, but is there any kind of mask I could get and still teach--I guess, however, that it would have to cover nose, mouth and eyes--maybe I coul wear it half the time. I need/love the work.
Avatar n tn It definitely sounds as though you were in a hostile work environment that caused you a great deal of stress and eventually caused you to have to seek a new position. The fact that your immediate supervisor was involved rather than trying to help you is also deplorable...and wrong. However, the burden of proof in a legal situation is on you. If the new job caused you to take a pay cut, then you certainly could seek damages for the loss of income, not to mention rank.
Avatar n tn m not much help regarding the buzzing in the ears. It could be related to high stress or anxiety, or uncontrolled blood pressure, sinusitis, ear disease like menier's disease, or medication side effects. Make sure your hearing is tested and of course see your primary care doctor to have a whole body physical exam and see an opthalmologist becauese of the eyestrain. I wonder if you might have some problems with your workplace - such as enviromental issues.
506514 tn?1210785523 Hi PeacelsAlllWant, how are you? Can you give some details of the nature of job you are doing? Usually the stress and strain to the body does cause a bit of muscle soreness at the end of a hard day out. The events at the workplace if bothering might also make you mentally stressed. When you are not working probably you might be following a set sleep cycle, which might make you sleep better. It is better to keep yourself physically active whether at work or not and follow a healthy sleep habits.
975514 tn?1324997938 I wanted to start a thread for those of us who have CFS and or FMS and are dealing with stress in the workplace. For those of us who are still working, the economy in the US and perhaps in the UK too has been extremely tense over the last couple of years. This has compounded the pressures I think we usually feel at work dealing with our illness and managing our careers. How do you all do it? I find myself struggling to keep a healthy balance.

Avatar f tn Her doctor had previously given her 4-day doses of Prednisone twice, which took the symptoms away for the most part, but the minute she went back to work, they came back. Her workplace has now changed cleaners, but the dryness and swollen eyes persist, especially in the morning. We have tried every kind of cream from vitamin E to aloe vera to cortisone cream (prescribed by the doctor) - the areas behind her ears and neck are very sore and oozing somewhat - any ideas as to what we can do.
Avatar n tn Upto last November when there was a department change at work I managed to work full time with workplace adaptations. The new role i was allocated brought bullying and removal of the workplace adaptations and three collapse and consequent relapses. Since then over the current year I have become much more ill and been diagnosed with postural hypertension (low rather than high blood pressure issues) I have also had a colloid cyst appear on my thyroid gland the size of a chicken egg.
Avatar n tn There were times I was under stress and my PVCs were calm. Other times, I was under stress and they would get worse. No rhyme or reason. That's the nature of this beast...UGH!
Avatar f tn Death cases are rare. Not sure why it happens though. I was scared my first pregnancy, even said goodbye to my hubby lol.
Avatar m tn I know stress can't directly cause folliculitis as such, is it possible that someone with chronic stress and raised cortisol levels would find it much harder to shake off a case of mild folliculitis? Perhaps even be more susceptible to infection in the first place? Mine seem to be clearing with help from anti bac soap and hydrocortisone after. This is fine, but in 100% healthy people it seems that it should resolve on its own within a couple of days.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel and I react exactly the same to work stress. My only answer for myself is that I've decided to quit my job and look for something less high profile. I think we have to be aware of our 'stress vulnerability' with Bipolar, it really is a very big trigger, possibly the biggest trigger of all to mood episodes. As ILAD says I think we have to learn what coping skills work for each of us. Work stress drove me to drinking badly, and made my BP even worse.
Avatar f tn Weekends seen to be fine after a little time away. Is this Asthma or am I alergice to my workplace? Should I test the air quality?
Avatar m tn well dont stress about it too much, trust me i know its scary. but stressing over it will only make it worse.
Avatar n tn As far as your father goes, maybe send a card or make a craft to give him from your unborn about how excited they are too meet them and do an activity that your dad enjoys.
