7998970 tn?1435183202 Nothing hard core (crunches of any sort), but workouts that engage your core for balance and stability are okay (yoga, tai chi, Pilates, etc...) and were actually reccomended for me. I didn't do them because I felt like a hippo, and my abdominal wall has since torn from lack of, well...anything. Right above my belly button it's bruised and you can feel an indentation where the sides have separated from each other.
1855780 tn?1319722878 I suggest 6 small meals a day, just spread it out evenly, mostly protein, fruits, and all the veggies you can eat! I also suggest to mix up your exercises, not just jogging or walking but 30 min of weights at least twice a week that includes arm and leg workouts. Start light and slowly work your way up, your body will tell you when to increase weights. Remember, with strength comes change in body. YOU WILL feel fatigued for a week or two but your body will adjust.

This is really important if your still growing. For strength and toning, inner leg lifs, squats, lunges would be good. leg press, hamstring machiens at gym might be ok...

Workouts last 30 to 45 minutes each and use either dumbbells, resistance bands or just your own body weight as a resistance. You're doing a series of exercises one after another in a circuit without taking any breaks in between the exercises.
483733 tn?1326798446 I was definitely skeptical at first because I sort of just expected to walk in place for 45 minutes but there is more to the workouts than that and you do a lot of upper body work too which is great. You can take the workouts mile by mile if you want to, and add on when you're ready. One of the first things I noticed after doing my dvds for a little while is that my booty got lifted which was awesome lol.

Avatar f tn s fine because to burn fat you need to use the aerobic system, which you use when you do mild to moderate activity for a longer amount of time. Exactly why you rarely see fat marathon runners. If you are really out of shape, do mild activities for a prolonged amount of time, for example, go for a slow walk for an hour, rather than a brisk walk for ten minutes and you will burn more fat that way. The longer you get the aerobic system working for, the more fat you burn.

193609 tn?1292180293 It takes about 25 minutes to complete. All you need is the DVD and a set of weights...I used 3lb weights and thought i was going to die!!! They have two people doing the exercises....one is for more advanced exercisers and the other is for beginners! Even the beginner workout is really hard and you will know you worked out when you are done! I feel great though, knowing I got a workout in!!!
