10028419 tn?1416841704 I walk occasionally now but would like to start exercising again to help with weight gain and labor! Any one else exercise? I need tips on whats safe and what I should be doing!
Avatar f tn You want those muscles strong, but not inflamed. Light plank holds and exercise ball workouts are good. Plus I find its really easy to oull an ab with all the relaxin and round ligament pain. Let you abs relax drink something with some sugar and see if he gets moving around again.

1292438 tn?1276120904 The myth: It’s the safest way to work your quadriceps, or thigh muscles. The truth: Physiologists at the Mayo Clinic determined that leg extensions place significantly more stress on your knees than squats. Why? Because the resistance is placed near your ankles, which leads to high amounts of torque being applied to your knee joint every time you lower the weight.
1285110 tn?1420147378 We just got a workout video that breaks up workouts like you have Tigerlily. There is a 15 min arm, 15 core, & 15 leg workouts. At the moment we have a roatating schedule planned that goes something like Day 1: arms & core Day 2: core & legs Day 3: legs & arms & then repeat. Should be interesting to see how it works. We can't keep up with the whole routines yet, but we try. The arm routine is a lot of tricep, chest, shoulder, upper back, & even more triceps.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have noticed recently, during my weightlifting routines at the gym, that I will occasionally get a fluttering sensation in my heart that lasts about 10 to 15 seconds and occurs randomly while lifting weights or doing abdominal exercises, but oddly enough never during cardio workouts such as running or swimming (chance?). These "flutters" are quite worrisome, as I feel as if my heart may not recover it's consistent beat sometimes.
Avatar m tn Cardiologist #2 – Confirmed that surgery will have to happen in my life time but - Continue with your aerobic type exercise, stop any weight lifting type workouts. Repeat echocardiography test every six months to look for change mad consider rate of change. What path to take….. ? my personal history, until I stopped my exercise routines consist of 3 to 6 mile walks -2 or 3 times weekly, I play 1.
Avatar m tn ) Stretch after and ease into exercise routines.
483733 tn?1326798446 A big balance ball, a medicine ball, resistance bands, and small hand weights are also in my arsenal. I also found a really big floor mat online. Most of the mats in stores are not very wide, and it's kinda discourging if you don't feel like you fit well on your mat! Also, the wide mat is a great surface to do my video workouts on, and gives my joints an extra layer of padding on top of my shoes and carpet. Hmmm, I feel pretty guilty that I skipped my AM workout now!
Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
Avatar n tn Ok, there are tons of questions relating to weight loss, but I'm asking anyway as I want specifics for myself. I am 5'3" and weigh 170. I've been eating clean 95% of the time, counting calories (daily is 1200 average) and exercising more than the norm. I did drop from 182 in about 4 wks, but now, 8 wks in to the active working out and eating well, can't seem to budge the scale. I read conflicting things about amount of calories, over doing exercise, etc. It's confusing.
Avatar f tn Is it okay to start doing some light exercise at 27 weeks? I do a lot of walking now but I'm just kinda iffy about it cause I don't want to put my baby at harm. What would be a great and safe workout for me and the baby?
Avatar f tn I am doin regular exercise and a heavy exercise for a weight loss.and now i have some symptoms of pregnancy and if i am pregnant so it could be my 2 week pregnancy.so is there any problem if i go to regular gym untill it proves that i concieved...?
Avatar f tn or T25 workouts. These are videos of quick 20 min workouts that are intense but burn a lot of calories and they work your entire core. Take a peek at these on YouTube they are great and they work.
Avatar f tn ) If you were enrolled in a gym and had your exercise routines, follow those and mix them up with some of hers, if not and you are just starting, I recommend to begin exercising 3 times a week and go from there with light cardio at first. Do not forget to warm up for 2 to five mins before starting exercising and to stretch after! And as you are already home, take a hot shower when your body is still warm, it will help to relax your muscles. Please tell me how all went!
Avatar n tn Is it normal to not want to eat after exercising? I always feel sick after I exercise and I just don't feel the need to eat until about two hours later. I just don't feel it's healthy. I also almost never eat before. Is that bad too?
1292737 tn?1272559251 Thanks for all the encouragement:) The Firm exercise DVDs are made specifically for women. It combines strength training, cardio, and weight lifting with a little bit of dancing as well. It tells you which DVD to do each day and if you have a day where you can't do the full 45-60 minutes workouts, they have "Turbo" workouts...which are more intense but shorter workouts to help you fit in your busier schedule.
Avatar f tn have you change up your exercise routines at all? i know you said you've up your calorie intake, but also at the same time is burning more calories. sometimes when your body is so used to doing the same thing for a long time, things become pretty easy and your body doesn't have to work as hard. i say you're probably at that plateau state. that can be tough especially when you've worked so hard and know you're still working hard to lose those last few pounds.
Avatar f tn Im starting to run/walk and i also want to start doing ab workouts as well as squats, so basically i just want to know if should do the workouts before or after running/walking?. .. or does it even matter?
Avatar n tn But you shouldnt be laying on your back after around the 2nd trimester anyway. Some suggestions are on the exercise ball or plank holds because it strengthenes your core. But you have to keep it mild, no straining. Anytime you feel strained, stop. Those ab ligaments are easy to pull while you have the relaxin hormones and closer to the end you definitely want to lay off the ab workouts. On the plus side, you can start again right after a natural birth, but not a c section.
Avatar f tn It all depends on how you treat your body during pregnancy...
Avatar f tn My coach said there a pregnant workouts on the website if you have access as well as just moderate workouts. And with the 21 day fix as long as your average for calorie intake all you need to do is increase your daily calorie intake by 300. I'm 6 weeks and I'm so exhausted its unreal. I'm just watching what I eat and walking when I can. Until I build my energy up again.
7998970 tn?1435183202 re gonna need to hold off on that while pregnant. Walking, exercise ball, little weights, etc are okay, especially if you were pretty active before pregnancy. No hardcore workouts though. time to gain weight lol.
