Ellipticals work arms to some extent and mostly work the thighs and the rest of your legs. Ellipticals are very good at building muscle if you can handle high resistance -- the setting is up to you. They are mostly cardio if you work at low resistance and move quickly; they are mostly resistance training if you put the resistance up very high in which case you will have to go much more slowly.

Avatar f tn I do cardio kickboxung twice a week followed by body sculpting that involves light weights (8-10lb weights) that's on tuesday and Thursdays. Wednesdays I usually take my dogs for long walks. I'm a hair dresser so the other days I'm working and am too exhausted and sore to do anything else as of right now. Keep exercising it's good for both of you.

If not you try doing skipping, jogging in the neighbourhood, floor exercises, yoga, basketball etc. Calculate your BMI and also according to your age prepare a neat diet chart and stick to that. Do not consume fried food, desserts, choclates, icecreams, fast foods, etc. Exercise combined with Diet will do wonders on you. Take care!
Avatar f tn Look up the "butt bible" on youtube. It's hard work but so worth it. If you do the work you WILL REEK THE BENEFITS. I swear, works wonders. Or just do a crap ton o squats.
Avatar f tn It's possible that you're at a plateau, where your metabolism has adjusted to your caloric intake and your exercise level. Try changing your workout routines around to "trick" your body. You might also be retaining fluids a bit. You might also try getting a body fat percentage done to see if you're already as lean as you can reasonably get. If you are, no amount of dieting or exercise will change your weight very much.

2006603 tn?1331329327 You know...you may not like what I have to say on this one. HAHA! It is too early. At this point and till the baby is 6-8weeks you are on the baby's schedule. They will naturally get into a day and night routine eventually and you can do things to help but right now they eat and sleep when they want to. Also, babies tend to eat more at night and early morning because that is when a Mother's milk supply is highest!

I go to the gym a lot but will soon be moving/changing jobs and am worried that it won't be easy to find the time, so I'm looking for more "at home" work out options, and this one does look good in that it appears fun, which is important since workout videos can get really redundant.
Avatar f tn Workout that focuses on the core muscles will help. However, you should clear with your OB Gyne if you can start doing intense core exercises. If not yet allowed, stick to brisk walking and and mopping the floor manually using your legs to tighten stomach and leg muscles. Shift to intense workout when it's already safe. Avatar f tn I would double check with your doctor since you were previously on bed rest foe a threatened miscarriage. Normally you can do everything you did before, but it might be a little different if you were high risk for miscarriage.
