Avatar f tn Okay so I can't go to the gym. I get really bad anxiety, like I'll go to walk through the door and start crying. I've always been this way. I walk an hour a day but I'm trying to get in shape and loose 10lbs for vacation in August.
Avatar n tn I wouldnt go to the gym. Grab a step stool and maybe some 1 lb. Weights and throw on some good music.
Avatar f tn I am trying to decide on a home exercise machine. I would like either and elliptical or a water rowing machine. I have researched both and tested out ellipticals. Rowing machines are a little harder to find. I know an elliptical will be good for cardio but will it also help build muscle?
505857 tn?1329681517 t have a lot of confidence, has anyone else found this class a good weight loss class? Will i manage some of the routines being overweight?
Avatar f tn It is also advised to rotate between various workout schedules. If working at the gym, you may like to skip two days a week and go for options like aerobics, swimming etc. The workout regime needs to be balanced, along with a healthy diet as recommended for the height and the physical work. Make sure to keep your body adequately hydrated. Also a healthy weight loss should be aimed gradually. With steady and ‘healthy’ efforts you should be back on the tract of losing weight soon.
Avatar f tn Hi I am 5 weeks, and I was wondering if I can go to the gym still?! I wasn't too faithful before I found out I was pregnant is it safe?
Avatar f tn In my own experience, do workout. Before pregnancy I would do yoga every day, plus dancing and some random cardio as Zumba.. When I got pregnant I changed my routine for a more "pregnant - friendly" one, like walking, aqua gym... Then I just stopped all workout. Not only I felt terrible the last weeks pregnant but I also gained lot more weight and now it's just so hard to go back to being active...
1543882 tn?1293417476 t buy into fad dieting or excercising routines. Weight Watchers is a great program, if you can afford it I would suggest starting there and starting to make healthier life style choices. Another thing is to watch out for the week or so that you don't lose weight. Don't get discouraged. Your body is making changes and it is just as hard for your body as it it for you. Drink plenty of water, and don't fall temptation to craving binges.
Avatar f tn m going to make labor so much easier on myself because I continued my vigorous workout routine. I hope this helps encourage you to keep up with your workout routines. Good luck with everything!
7045779 tn?1394737965 So I haven't been working out since I found out I was preggo.. So I'm 5 Months nd I believe I haven't gone for 4 months lol I was very active before then... So Nways I workout for an hour today. Js cardio tho. Walking for 30 mins nd 30 mins elliptical! I'm not overdoing it right? Im Js little worried that I might've done too much today..
Avatar m tn There are many routines that will work, most likely, not just one. If you use a gym weight machines have one benefit, in that they are calibrated to give you proper technique and show you right on the machine usually what muscles they're working. If you want to do free weights, can you afford a couple of sessions with a personal trainer? Or just watch the folks with the best definition where you're looking for it and ask them their routines.
Avatar f tn I had a csection 2 months ago and my Dr told me I can go back to the gym and do whatever type of exercise i want but im not too shure about that... I know i cant lift anything heavy but can Run, zumba, etc?
Avatar f tn Running for me got really uncomfortable. As for the gym, I used to workout really hard and if I can't do my normal routine I don't want to do it at all.
Avatar f tn I assume you are not working the same muscles every day!! You need to give the group of muscles worked a day of rest.
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
Avatar f tn As long as it was something you did before you got pregnant and you dont push yourself too hard you should be fine! I'm 24wks+3 and still hit the gym for a workout or 2 each week. I do the same routines and exercises as before but toned back the intensity and weights. Even if you just jog in intervals? Say 30secs to 1 min at a time and walk the same to allow for recovery and rest! I find I tire easier so allow more time for rest.
Avatar f tn Anyone workout till the end ? or how late into pregnancy did you. Im 35 weeks and still going to the gym. (4 days ) my dr. Said to stay active since i was extremely active before but i was wondering if anyone is doing the same or plan to.. or did it help with bringing labor or thru labor ?
684175 tn?1295477838 Hoping to see some more results with a structured gym workout. I am so determined to meet my goal it was worth the money. I would of signed up for more if I could of afforded. Why does it cost so much money to get healthy? The food is more expensive and the gym/trainers are expensive. CRAZY!!!! Still I figure it is worth the money to spend to get there right! Go again on Friday to start with my trainer. Her name is Arissa. I am sure I will end up hating that name lol.
Avatar f tn I need a good workout plan for me without having to visit a gym. Are there any good, trustworthy and up-to-date sites that I can save to keep going back to do these exercises over and over each day? Or would anyone have any suggestions on where to begin?
4658567 tn?1364142123 Anyone to to the gym? What do you do there and how far were you when you stopped if did?
850661 tn?1245666056 I agree with Mumita you can do all of that except for the crunches. You could supplement with a modified crunch using a yoga ball. I learned some tricks in a prenatal class my gym offers. Chances are if your gym doesn't have a class like that the rec center in your area will. I think swimming is the best workout when your pregnant. When I go swimming I really feel all the muscles in my abdomen and sides stretch out it's a great workout and it's almost impossible to hurt yourself.
Avatar f tn I just went to the gym for the first time in a very long time yesterday. The personal trainer had me do squats, and kept changing my form and asking me to do another set. It burned and felt like it normally feels, I wasn't in any terrible pain. Then he had me do a couple sets of lunges, again it was hard but not overly painful. A couple minutes afterwards, though, my thigh muscles cramped up like crazy.
17239077 tn?1454875124 Your diet and workout program is good, give some more time and don't take stress. Take proper sleep and eat healthy balanced diet for complete nutrition. Take help for a personal trainer and improve your diet.
