Avatar f tn I really feel motivated to exercise and workout the muscles that haven't been used in probably 8 years. lol! Back when I was 14-17 I would join my father in the gym, but his trainer gave me different things to do to just be fit and toned. I do have some equipment at my house and my husband works crazy hours so we can't just go to a gym. Plus, I would like to look semi-decent to be able to even show up at a gym. (Yea, I've let myself go that bad.
193609 tn?1292180293 Hey everyone!! I think it would be a great idea if everyone shared your workout!! What are you doing to get fit? How effective is it? Would you recommend it to others? I currently workout at Anytime Fitness! I love it and would recommend it to everyone! All the cardio machines have a 13 inch TV on them, and have the Dish Network! I love working out there and their weight machines are great! I also just started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred! that 30 minute video will kick your butt!!
266539 tn?1281402152 I want to lose 25 pounds in the next year and a half and I know most of my problem is having no workout plan. My problem is that if it is longer than like 20 minutes I get bored and annoyed so I quit. I want something that is no longer than 20 minutes a day. I was looking at a package that had a big ball in it, a toning ring, 3lbs. soft weights, and a some bands that you streach out but it was $40 and I just didn't know if that was worth it.
Avatar n tn If you don't have the mobility or endurance, exercising a few minutes several times a day is good. Walking, swimming and water aerobics are healthy low-impact exercises. Strength training, perform one to two sets of 10 to 15 repetitions of weight bearing exercises two to three times a week. If you don't have dumb bells then use resistance bands or machines. You can perform pushups against a wall and squats by sitting in a chair and then standing. You could join a yoga class.
Avatar f tn I ski, play recreational ball. Well, I bought a 10minute cardio ltape with exercise bands and as soon as my heart rAte slows after exercise I feel totally exhausted and want to fall asleep. I was diagnosed with a pericardial cyst. Could I not be getting enough oxygen to my brain when I'm exercising. I could literally close my eyes and fall asleep. If I resist the urge to sleep it will pass in about a half hour. Or am I just in worse shape than I think. I am 30lbs over weight.
8927222 tn?1415432715 Ok I'm a ftm and I have severe back pain and I feel real heavy in the front but I can't seem to find a belly band that's affordable and that fits. I was a bigger girl before I got pregnant. But aren't these suppose to be for pregnant women and the ones that I've seen wouldn't last a "normal" sized pregnant woman up till the 9th month. Do any of you ladies know where I could get one that's affordable and at least a XXL.
Avatar n tn The reason they say you cant lay on your back after 21 weeks is because the placenta is so heavy at that point that it pinches a nerve in your spine, as well as cut off a small amount of blood flow, which alot of women find means tingling in the legs, or numbness, and can cause fainting and/or dizziness.
284738 tn?1283106819 so i have found this awesome workout that is very low impact go to http://www.lesliesansone.com/ and on that page there is a free video for a one mile walk... its super easy and soo fun and you burn 150 calories in 15 minutes...
Avatar m tn However during rehab following a six month stay in the hospital I was given long stretchable bands of varying levels of difficulty. I was taught to use them to rebuild muscle mass which included my arms and biceps. Have you thought of using them? They are easy to use, fairly inexpensive and should provide you with the results you seek if you purchase the more difficult ones. I hope this information helps.
Avatar f tn So I've thought about buying those belly bands but never have and so glad I didn't. I found on Google today a YouTube video of a women who uses old tank tops to make belly bands. That's the best idea why waste the money if u can spare a fee tank tops or go out and buy some cheap ones an make ur own instead of paying 20+ dollars for a belly band. U just take ur tank top and cut up as high as u can and u use the bottom and it works the same.
1141709 tn?1329402332 Actually there is a new kind that is not the typical belly band that let's you wear smaller pants longer or simply gives you added support like the ones you mentioned at Target. Granted the ones I'm talking about may not help an incompetent cervix, but at the very least I've heard of many women who these bands have helped their pelvic and back pain tremendously.
15354850 tn?1440716033 I see that some women use it for morning sickness, and where can I get it??
522699 tn?1250590716 Went to a personal trainer for a while and the key to muscle building is repetitions. We targeted a specific muscle group and then did 3 sets of 10 repititions each. For the length of time it takes to perform the 10 repititions, you should rest that amount of time before repeating the 2nd 10 repetitions.
Avatar n tn You can easily do circuit training workouts at home or at the gym on your own. Workouts last 30 to 45 minutes each and use either dumbbells, resistance bands or just your own body weight as a resistance. You're doing a series of exercises one after another in a circuit without taking any breaks in between the exercises. You will do both weight training exercises such as pushups, situps and squats, and aerobic exercises such as jumping jacks, jumping rope and burpees.
Avatar f tn Anything ginger helped me. Also sea bands from Walmart worked great. They are little bracelets for your wrists.

Avatar f tn Belly bands help tons! But yes, this is one of those very uncomfortable but only gets worse pregnancy pain that a lot of women come across. But belly bands will help hold everything up and they also help your back too!
Avatar f tn Jumping rope is good, but hard to do inside unless you have high ceilings. Women don't tend to enjoy pushups, but the kind that are modified for women are a great exercise. Old-fashioned situps are not the best ab exercise. Pilates type exercises are very good. I believe the Insanity videos use a lot of those moves. But you can find videos on line with Pilates type exercises. A mat and one of those Pilates balls is about all you need. Maybe some bands or light weights.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I have been weight lifting with a trainer for 2 years. I go 2 days on my own and 2 days with the trainer. I do have some pre-existing conditions with my shoulders. The right shoulder was frozen at one point but it has been fine (normal) for about 5 years except for some crackling noises. Also, I have done repetitive work and played competitive tennis and also violin for years. so those things may contribute to my shoulder problems. I have two ball like things. One in each shoulder.
Avatar f tn My belly wont hold them up yet lol! So i really just wear my pants that are streachier and stuff. So are the bands a good idea or is it kind of the same thing as the rubber band trick to make your pants a little bigger?
Avatar f tn m really asking for is a few tips to get me back into that workout mode agin. Thank you for your time.
Avatar n tn My MIL would just buy panties with thicker tighter waist bands. I also might wear the pregnancy tummy bands I bought at target to hide my pants not buttoning at the top. I think it just depends on what you'll be comfortable with. On this app one women suggested just wrapping an Ace bandage wrap around.
Avatar f tn i had positive rapid test at 6 months and tested wb resulted bands p66/p55 at 6 months.
