I have an acctual injury to my left middle finger. My Technology teacher sliced his finger to bits when He was cutting my wood. Also I've met aot of people with left middle finger injuries.
my husband has diabetes and also I think he has rhumatoid arthritis in his fingers becuase they hurt him alot and they are swelling and the top joint. the other day he was working outside fixing a fence around our yard when the nail gun he was using shot thru the wood and punctured one of his fingers! It unfortunately was one that is very swollen already at the tip joint (I believe from arthritis).

So about two months ago, I jammed my finger by playing basketball. I don't know how bad the jam was as I could not get an MRI, only an X-ray. My finger was jammed on the last carpal (the smaller one) and I could not straighten it as it would keep bending downwards. Now, I think the jam is healed but I have a big bump on the joint. Additionally, the finger won't straighten 100% and the lowest part of the finger bends downwards when I try to straighten.

m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?

I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen.

When there is a capsular injury to a joint in finger, it is best to give the RICE treatment for a few days such as rest, ice application, compression bandage (you can strap the injured finger with the neighboring finger) and elevation (keep hands elevated on a pillow at bed time). You can also take an anti-inflammatory pain killer. Once the injury settles down and there is less pain you have to start physiotherapy.

Definitely have greater fatigue, muscle and joint aches and pain and headache
Though in my case, the Riba may be causing some of these sides
I also have been So tired that I need to nap during the day that is pretty unusual for me
Careful with the Advil - it's terrible for your liver. Best to try a small amount of acetaminophen and a nice bath for aches I think - and drink lots of water
I also use a TENS machine at times.
any amount of swelling in a small joint such as a finger joint can cause quite a bit of discomfort. It sounds like you "jammed" the joint(s). It can take a long time to resolve. Like 6-9 months. You could try soaking it in hot water to loosen things up and try to pull and put tension on the finger to loosen up the joint. Pull the finger slowly, steadily, and gently straight out. I have found this can help loosen it up and relieve some pressure in the joint.
I was operating a machine the other day and cut my hands a few times on swarf from the machine. Not massive cuts that needed stitches. I dabbed the cuts with a rag by the machine that couldve been used by anyone. I saw some fresh blood on the dial of the machine (which is metal) which I assumed was my own...but I'm not sure to be honest and then stupidly wiped it off with my finger.
