discharge

is it normal to have brown sticky discharge now and again it not all the time im about 7 weeks having like a period belly, i have 2 other children but never had this with them !!!!!!!
This is my first time asking about this stuff, but I stopped taking birth control two weeks before my period was due (thinking i was getting headaches from them and maybe be pregnant) I got cramps like i was starting my period (once again 2 weeks before period is due). the same day as my cramps i started spotting light brown discharge. happened for a few days, stopped, then happened again and stopped now.
I also for the last two months have gotten a cold 1 day before my period. i am 40 and this has never happened before now. i also thought that it could be the swine flu, but I see that Im not the only one with this problem. everything else is normal, but now I feel crappy with stuffy nose, sore throat and I feel very run down and achy. God, I hope this is not going to be a normal occurance!
I started 3 days before period and stopped while I had my period as soon as the period stopped the itching started again. I thought it might be a yeast infection (even though there was no discharge) took 3 day treatment no itching and when treatment was over it came right back. The itching happens through the day off and on. I can go a day or two with no itching and then it comes back. I went to the Doctor and she found nothing.
I have had mild cramping 1 week before i was due, and i feel i was due to have my period anytime, but has yet not to come. I also get headaches and feeling dizzy. I took a test last night came back negative with a realy fine fine fine, i mean really fine line on the other side. Barely see it, maybe i was just looking for one. I dont know!!! This morning i took one again and came back negative. I dont know what to think? PLease help me what should i do and what are my chances?
everyone I know and have talked to had a positive pregnancy test before their missed period, and the test was obviously positive around the time of their missed period. Well, I was getting negatives before, around the time of my missed period, the day after my missed period, and then finally 3 days after my missed period I got a positive (not extremely strong, but without a doubt positive). I tested again that night and got another positive with a different brand.
30 am. Then later on it started to get heavy like a period but didn't stay that way because when I went to put on a super tampon it hadn't made it to the pad and it was only enough for a panty liner. I took my last pregnancy test at about 6 weeks and I got a negative result. I am now 8 2/7 weeks pregnant. Whats going on?
My OB also told me I can ovulate without having a period but strongly recommends I wait till I have 2 normal periods before I try again. I am not pregnant because I have taken many tests. I am frustrated and don't know what to think. I have cramps all the time, but no period! Does anyone have advise?
The menstrual period is always exactly 14 days after ovulation. The time from period end to ovulation is variable. A woman is most likely to get pregnant on the three days preceding or the day of ovulation. There are four major players involved in regulating a woman's menstrual cycle: The HYPOTHALAMUS: an area of the brain just above the pituitary gland. The PITUITARY GLAND: a little gland that hangs from a stalk just behind the eyes.
I was using the sponge but then I stopped hoping to get pregnant. I had sex 3 days before my period then the day before. When I finally got my period it wasnt even the normal color.. it was a pastel red & only lasted 2 1/2 days. After my period was over I had sex again. For the past 3 weeks I have had nausea that sometimes lasts all morning, day & night. I also have very swollen breasts that are very sore & hurt to the touch.
at this point this is no longer a std related issue. I recommend posting in the women's health forums for more help with abnormal bleeding issues. best of luck!
i had novasure done 16/11/07 same as i am experiencing strong cramps across lower abdomen and stomach slightly swollen my discharge has changed too a brown colour similar to end of period visited g.
I had awaken 3 days in a row with a mild headache, my breasts were sore, sorta like before my period but this was just after my period so I knew something was up. Also, within a week, my legs started to hurt from increased blood flow and a felt nauseated the first week.My sciatic nerve was bothering me too. Anything to do with blood circulation can happen right away! HCG is not responsible for all pregnancy symptoms! your body creates other hormones as well that start right away....
I go to the doctor next week - so they will probably do a blood test then. The first day of my last period was May 31st. I am 31 and never have missed a period before. I am now going on missing another period. This is crazy that this happens to so many women and there is no explanation except for stress.
My last period started August 4/2008 - Aug 9/08. We had intercourse Aug 14th....3 days before I ovulated. I started spotting for 3 days on Aug 18th. Then nothing until my expected period Sept 1st in which I spotted (only when I wiped) for 5 days. Now there is nothing. All preg tests say negative. Went to Doc and they say negative too. I have ALWAYS had a reg 28 day cycle. I have felt nausious once in awhile, mild headaches....NO breast tenderness though. I do find myself peeing more.
Thank you ladies, I am guilty of getting irritated with some of these questions, i.e. the webcam one, BUT I realized that some people really don't know anything about themselves. I've learned a lot since I first started TTC. I didn't know when I ovulated until about 10 months ago. I very blessed to get pregnant with my son the first month, and we didn't "try" we just didn't use protection, but now that I'm TTC number two, there's a lot to it.
I never knew when I ovulated before I got the Paragard. Now, I have cramps and heavy discharge, but its literally like water. Sorry that was gross. Still after all this, I would recommend it for anyone who cannot tolerate the hormones in birth control. I had tried every low hormone pill, ring, etc. The Paragard takes some getting used to, but its way better than the hormones and filling prescriptions once a month, etc. I hope this was helpful.
e i had alot of bleeding while my surgery my doctor said, however i did not bleed at all after, in the month of december, so at the beg, of january i spotted brown then the 11 i got a period for about 4 days heavy, then about jan 25 i started spotting brown again it lasted for like two days., so finally feb 24, i had gotten it again.
But, I think that Mirena has worked very well for me so far, as I was able to go without a period AT ALL for the past year or so! Compared to the 31 day period I had before I had this product put in, I think the benefits out way the possible side effects. I had to try something, and this was my last choice before they would do anything more drastic, like surgery. I certainly didn't want that!
So I am seriously considering getting a blood test or a sonogram because the suspense is killing me. I don't think that it is shocking that I have not had my period since before my daughter was born but it is scary not having a period for a ling time, although I can't say I miss it. Well, everyone else let me know of their experiences, please.
Also, there is no discharge, and I've had yeast infections before so I know its not that. I am on birth control, ortho tricyclin. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do about this! Otherwise I have my yearly appt in 3 months....
As far as any other sides effects the only one I can really report is I spot 2 weeks before my actual period. So sometimes I feel like I have my period for 2 weeks which is really annoying. But my period cramps and flow are much less on Yasmin then they use to be!! Thanks AC in L.
I have concluded that a lot of the brown discharge I am experiencing of late might be due to hormonal imbalances. I had a partial hysterectomy in 1992, am 53 yrs. old and am going through menopause with hot flashes all hours of the day. I am a certified herbalist, training toward a Naturopathic Doctorate.
I also have bad cramps for about 2-3 days before my period starts. I usually have a lot of blood clots during my period too. It's like I'm in middle school again when it comes to acne. I can't keep my face clear. It takes no time for my hair to become greasy from the time I wash it every morning.
I went in for an ultrasound at 12 weeks and found out that the baby had died at 8wks 6 days. I started spotting slightly brown the day before my ultrasound-but had no cramps so I wasn't really worried about it. Ended up having to have a D&C. I hope you aren't going through this. It is the worst thing that I have had to endure in my life and would not wish it on anyone.
I can count on having an outbreak at least once a month and ALWAYS right before I start my period. I have IBS which can cause a lot of straining when attempting to use the bathroom. I haven't had a yeast infection in at least 20 years. I am in my early 40's, don't have pets, have been on birth control pills 24 years.
No matter what some one says you can still be pregnant before your period is late. I was told by my aunt once when I was younger that some woman can have a miscarriage once a month with out evan knowing it. I researched this and it is true. One out of every 3 or 4 pregnancys end for many reasons in miscarriage.
All my life, i never had spotting before AF, my best friend gets spotting 5 days before her cycle all the time, that blows. Nina, im hoping that is implantation bleeding going on, how many DPO are you and when is AF due.
It's very painful, but it usually only happens right before and during my period. During a pelvic exam, your doc will be able to feel if your uterus feels "boggy" or spongy. It's a buildup of scar tissue between the uterine walls.
