here in the U.S. most simple wisdom teeth removals are done with ga and sometimes a little gas just for relaxation not to knock you out. even more complicated procedures like impacted wisdom teeth rarely require a hospital. being completely sedated is more risky than just being numbed up. i only had two wisdom teeth come in (top only) and yes after they were pulled under ga in the regular office i walked a mile home!

So I had my wisdom teeth just over a week and I am still in pain not as much when I first got them taken out and this pass friday I called the nurse and she said to stop taking the strong pain killers "hydro" and have been really like feeling sick but did not have a cold or anything just felt bad.

That happens to me every time. But right now I'm STARVING, I had my wisdom teeth pulled Monday and even trying to eat top ramen hurts (all of my teeth are shifting too!) So I get to eat blended soups, mash potatoes and liquids. Eat for me!

I've needed my wisdom teeth out now for five years, and recently (this past year) I've been experiencing excruciating pain and headaches, which I know is a result of not having the funds to have them removed. I have all four, and they are all impacted, which has led to severe crowding and me biting my tongue on more than one painful occassion. Food is always getting in the space between my gums and the crown of the bottom wisdom teeth and I suffer chronic infections.

t have it checked because I have camp. The inner tooth hurts. I did have my wisdom teeth taken out about 2 and a half weeks ago, could that be the problem? I don't remember MAYBE my tooth hurt even before the wisdom teeth extraction.

Your oral surgeon removed wisdom teeth and bacteria should go away or reduce because food will not get stuck in your teeth anymore? I will meet with my dentist this Monday Aug 23. I don't know why they did not book an appointment with oral surgeon prior to surgery, and instead will see my dentist regarding this matter. They say it is necessary. I hope all goes well with minimum adverse reaction to anesthesia, bear pain and no numbness after surgery.

When I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed, I found that food used to get stuck in the healing lower gums, and especially rice. I used to pick it out with a clean toothpick. If you do have a problem of getting it out, see the dentist to help you to remove it, otherwise it will delay the healing process and it could get infected. Best wishes.

If it all of a sudden gets worse, we always tell patients they may have a dry socket which is most common when lower wisdom teeth are extracted. It may feel like the upper jaw but this may be referred pain. I would have it checked out because they can pack some medicine in there to help it feel better.

I am going to get a scaling done, and after the scaling I am having all 4 wisdom teeth removed which is one of my broken teeth. Please help me, I have never had facial before and I am very scared, especially when I can't swallow.

hello i tooked out my wisdom teeth and now im having pain in the palate,when i take my hands and fell the roof of my mouth it feels as if the right side is bigger or swollen but when i look at it it appears fine

Before I found out I was pergant I had beautiful health teeth got a check up everythink was fine just around 7 months though my pergancy I noticed I have a hole in each wisdom teeth and the are starting to really get to me with this pain pus I have really bad morning sicknesses is had it since I was 4 weeks pergant and now I am 34 weeks tomorrow :-/

hi, i asks the dental is the reasone my teeth was spreading due to gum disease or periodonta? he said the x-ray don't show any of that and it maybe because i'm getting older and my teeth or shifing. is that true it dosen't make since. also one month ago i went in got 5 filling one fell out so i hade to go back. and my mouth contiune to hurt and back gum on the left by my somewhat of a wisdom teet swell he said to go see and oral surgery to get the 2 wisdom teet pull.

I've been very sick the last 6 weeks. About a year ago my dentist told me that I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed, but they weren't bothering me at all until around 6 weeks ago. I went through 3 different infections and was told that I have digestive problems (which I've never had before in my life!). I haven't been able to eat any food in the last 6 weeks because of all of the infections and antibiotics I've had in this amount of time. I've lost about 30 pounds.

Wisdom teeth are so far in the back of the mouth that they are difficult to brush, floss and do dental work on. Doesn't mean it's impossible, just more difficult. Generally we don't need these teeth and they just cause problems, which is why our modern society believes in extracting them. I want to know why is it necessary to remove wisdom teeth? Everything went good and I was feeling really good and back to my old self after about a week. 4 days ago I accidentally bit down on a piece of food in the spot where my left wisdom teeth were removed and it hurt bad. Yesterday I started to get this electric shock feeling in he left side of my tongue whenever I eat on the left side of my mouth. It feels like when you have a filling and you chew on aluminum foil and you get that small shock.

I'm getting all 4 wisdom teeth out. I will be getting two halcion pills to sedate me. I'm so scared of getting them out and being sedated! :/ please help. Any wisdom teeth experiences or words of advice would help. Also if anyone has taken halcion for wisdom teeth removal let me know.

My teeth werent ever more sensitive but my wisdom teeth did come in since ive been pregnant. it was horrible i was in so much pain.

my advise will b if they really hurt yank those sons of guns out now but if u can tuff it out it will b so much better for u ..

My husband is 21 and the dentist says he needs his wisdom teeth taken out. They are not impacted but they are growing in crooked and will not grow out all the way and are causing a bacteria build up. If we wait until they all pierce through the skin can he simply get them pulled and not have oral surgery.

I guess ever since ive been taking prenatals and ive been pregnant my wisdom teeth have been killing me! They were growing before I was pregnant but now im waking up with a sore jaw line and gums. Im not even sure if I can get them taken out while im pregnant. Has this happened to anybody else?

I'll have to see my insurance covers it til I'm 21 when my baby comes ill have to payout of pocket they didn't start hurting til last week that why I didn't say anything to my dentist but ill check with all my docs to see thanks:)
