I love photography and hope to go into zoology, and wildlife rehabilitation. Ive always had a tender heart for animals, and volunteered at Humane Society's. I also spent alot of time outside watching animals and visiting wildlife parks.

I work with wildlife animals at a rehabilitation center . Stopped at five months till after my babys born but i did get scratched and bitten a couple times while i was already pregnant. Make sure u clean it with peroxide . I also would use an iodine solution . But i literally worked with like squirrels and stuff so im sure you'll be okay.

m just asking here - so many of her photos were of the wildlife in her yard, the deer, bunnies and beaver and birds. Would it be OK to make a donation to the Audubon Wildlife Care Center where I work in her name? I would mark it for wildlife care only instead of Education or other departments. Or I can stick with the local Humane Society.

This will effect alot of things we can't even imagine yet, just catastrophic in size. So many jobs, livleyhoods will be ruined, jobs lost, but when I think about all the birds, fish, geese, ducks, etc that's what makes me the saddest.

it's a very sad situation all the way around. so many people died and didn't need to...on top of that the oil is killing so much wildlife, its unbelievable. i don't mean this to sound all green-peace and everything, but we truly are a disease on this planet. we can't live without destroying it. whats worse? the majority are still saying 'DRILL BABY DRILL' when you look at the polls....this is something beyond political lines. it's ethics.

Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this. Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.

Hi there. Muscle wasting could be due to disuse atrophy like sedentary jobs, medical conditions limiting their movement or decreased activity levels can lose muscle tone and develop atrophy. Other type is neurogenic atrophy, which occurs when there is an injury to or disease of a nerve connecting to the muscle like in polio, guillain barre syndrome or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

We have a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre here as well but they work with the local vets first and the vet I took the bird to was an aviary specialist who will decide if there is anything that can be done to help the little fella and if he can help him he will be then sent to the Rehab Centre to recouperate! I haven't heard anything today but I don't think the clinic would be open on a Saturday and I am almost afraid to call them...I think I will wait until Monday.

I have been researching on the net about several non-profit organizations, that assist people like me with work at home jobs. One organization is called NTI and the other is called The Job Accomodation Network. Has anyone possibly heard of these organizations? What I have researched on them has been good so far. Are there anymore organizations that assist people like me with jobs that will meet my limits due to my disabilities? I have got to do something to supplement our household income.

I understand a lot of people return to work within 1 to 3 weeks post-operatively, however are these jobs more sedentary? For more strenuous jobs, what is the average recovery time? I am in no rush to return to work and want to take the maximum time to fully recover. Thank you all in advance! This site is awesome!

An X-Ray is necessary, of course. All species have the ability to heal their broken bones with the proper stabelization, and depending on the type of fracture. Most local zoo's and wildlife rehabilitators have veterinarians that treat their animals. Call a zoo or wildlife rehabilitator to see if they can help.

Hi all!! I am looking into going to a outpatient rehabilitation center. I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone, what all it included, if you liked it, and the price. Just wanted some input from people who have gone so I will know what to expect.

He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. We really want to find a home where he can be among people with the same rehabilitation challenges. It would be ideal if the home offered psychologist and a physical therapist; however, even if the home had one or the other it would be better than his situation right now. He just sits at home doing nothing.

All of these are issues but not sure what are the biggest concerns when it comes to getting the additional days in rehabilitation approved.

When it occurs otherwise unless a person approached one its because due to living in areas where people do they have modified their behavior which is normally avoidant (when I lived in an area that was more suburban and I saw them they always ran away, occasionally I see them where I live now but the same occurs because there is a small wildlife preserve). There are quite a few wildlife sanctuaries in the area. Hopefully something will work. We desperately need a way to clean these awful things up. Our coastal areas are too precious and our wildlife is fragile. We really both.

m not in denial and having had side jobs in the addiction rehabilitation field I know what addiction is. The doctor has simply concluded that my problems are due to alcohol use,when viral hepatitis and HIV was ruled out. And no, I do not want someone to tell me how much longer I can drink. I've already stopped.

Please check in your area for a wildlife rehab center. Or check with your local fish and wildlife office. They have a list of licensed rehabbers in the area. Your name is unique so I'm not sure where you live. If you're in another country, I don't know how they handle wildlife problems. I hope you can find someone soon. The parent crows will help for awhile but they also know when to give up and will leave the young one alone to die.

ve had PSVT all my life, have held many different types of jobs (I work with wildlife now), given birth to 3 children and successfully raised them. That's not a life of disability at all.
