Common Questions and Answers about Why take singulair in the evening

singulair

Avatar f tn Could this still be the singulair?? or Should I assume it is the vitamin D? Question if it is the Vitamin D does this tell me anything about my why I have been sick?
Avatar n tn Which singulair are you taking? The child's one or the adult? The child's one has artificial sweetener so that could be causing your head tremors. The adult one has lactose monohyrate if you react to milk that could also be an issue.
Avatar m tn Singulair is a must and is taken in the evening,it helps me.Also,Advair taken in the morning and evening depending on dosage, its an inhaled type of steroid.Like prednisone, without all the yucky side affects.Licorice root found at health food stores also helps,it also comes in syrup form.Black coffee also can stop an asthma attack if caught early enough.Be careful with the licorice root,as it can cause high blood pressure if taken to much.
Avatar m tn It causes asthma (Arizona Cypress, Mesquite and Palo Verde are the culprits.) Singulair has helped me very successfully in the past. However, I also take a very low dose blood pressure medication (Lisinopril 20mg). I do not have health insurance and have an alternative source for medications. Would it be advisable for me to purchase Singulair for 3 months to get me through those three months next year. This year was a bit difficult without it.
Avatar n tn I have been under good control until I was recently diagnosed with an eye conditon called central serous retinopathy. I was told by the retinal specialist that I can take no form of prednisone unless it is a life threatening issue because it could worsen the eye condition. Now I am having problems with my asthma since I have been off the Advair.Any suggestions?
460830 tn?1347219306 What was the problem with Singulair a while back? I heard something about it, but I never heard what the problem was with it.
Avatar f tn Well the meds, there the best for your symptoms, thank goodness you have a good doctor. If you are not experiencing any uncomfortable side effects, well that is great, it means that these meds. suit you.
920032 tn?1550680156 You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
Avatar f tn I find that just taking medications when needed is not really managing my asthma.
Avatar f tn Also I have had a lot of health issues for the last year and my doctor as a shot in the dark suggested Singulair even though I have no allergy or asthma symptoms. I took both of them. That evening my bones and muscles started to hurt. The next day my muscles all tightened up and I felt horrible, dry mouth, sore throat, felt like I was stoned, itching. I got off the singulair and haven't been on it for 4 days. I still am having muscular pain and bone pain.
Avatar f tn I have an appointment in 2 weeks with my primary doctor, but I was prescribed these medications by a different doctor who was filling in... albuterol (the emergency inhaler), Singulair (I take 10mg once every night), and one puff twice a day of Dulera with a chamber (I always rinse afterwards). It seems like a lot of meds. I’ve been on Singulair and albuterol for a few weeks, and I’ve been taking Dulera for about a week now.
150689 tn?1333990045 What I have experienced with it so far is good other then I feel pretty tired.. I do take it in the evening but still sluggish throughout the day. I'm hoping I will adjust and lose this effect some day soon. My Aunt was on inhalers for 3 years daily and her Doctor switched her over to singular a year or two ago and hasn't had a problem with her asthma since.
Avatar f tn If there is 50mg of morphine in the body, 25mg (50%) will be lost in 3 hours; if there is only 2mg of morphine in the body, only 1mg (50%) will be lost in 3 hours. Note that in both cases, morphine levels drop by 50% during an interval of one half-life. (3 hours) Because I am not a pharmacist, when the Singulair bottle says the half-life is 2.7-5.5 hours, I don't have the knowledge to figure out why there is such a discrepency in the half-life. But the way I see it is that between every 2.
Avatar m tn My preventive asthma medication seems to cause nausea and general cloudiness when I take them. When I stop taking them, the dizziness stops so I know that it's the cause. I've tried a handful of different medicines like Flovent, Dulera, Qvar, Advair, Pulmicort and even Singulair and they all cause this nauseating effect. I'm wondering if any of you know what this might be and any way to stop it. Any different medicines, I'm even open to non-traditional medicine if it helps.
Avatar n tn After about a month he started having a problem with his legs and groin itching. He took himself off the Singulair as that is what he decided was the problem. He has gotten by with just the Advair inhaler. In the past month he's really been struggling with breathing problems.
305544 tn?1197997610 Hello everyone, I was wondering if most of you feel better at any certain time of the day. I have noticed that I feel my best in the evening, and the worst in the mornings when I am attempting to get ready for the day. I know that perhaps the warm shower may pose a problem, but I am sometimes really cold and it takes a while for my to warm up. I go to my regular Dr. on Monday. Any suggestions or important questions you think I should ask?
370736 tn?1247242917 in May ( I had a m/c) I was taking singulair and albuterol inhaler. I was told by my general practioner not to take Advair b/c of the steroids in it. Avatar m tn he began to have a facial tic, dilated pupils and hallucinations. i finally got the message and discontinued the singulair after researching the drug on the internet. after 3 weeks, he was like a different child. he was happier and healthier. his fears, anxiety and all the other side effects just disappeared. this drug can have devastating effects and be undetected by parents. children are unable to express the way the drug is making them feel.
Avatar f tn Many, many health problems actually originate in the Gastrointestinal tract (you can look that concept up on-line) - be it decreased stomach acids, decreased enzymes to break up the food, leaving the food to ferment in the gut, leaky gut syndrome, etc. It would take a long note to get into all the possibilities. And if the diet helps (or some other food alteration helps) always keep inhalers on hand just in case. If I'm of no help, I pray that someone will be! Good luck!

Avatar f tn PLEASE HELP Let me add that she is NOT in tears because the Singulair has made her depressed, we heard all about that in the news. She is in tears because of the agony she's in because of how BAD her arms and legs feel all the time!!!!!!!!!!!! My daughter is on Singulair and just finished a short course of Prednisone. On her 4th day [last day] of Prednisone, her legs and arms started to feel very weak and heavy and numb[she said they felt "thick"].
Avatar f tn I have always had difficulty breathing in high humidity. My doctor told me that I am most likely allergic to mold, and the humidity is causing this to be worse. I have been prescribed an albuterol inhaler, and usually only have to use it about 3 weeks out of the year. Otherwise, I take Singulair year round. This year the humidity is especially high. I have had trouble breathing for over a month now.
640719 tn?1277140030 I would suggest getting a peak flow meter and keeping track of your values to see how much of a variation there is. This will help to show you if the Singulair is controlling the asthma or if another medication would be a better choice. The peak flow meter helps me a lot, they are times when I am stressed out and think I can't breathe and my peak flow has only dropped 10% so it would still be in the okay range.
Avatar m tn s why I am not feeling in need of clearing my throat. I guess I will have to take the drug for the rest of my life until some new treatment comes out. Hope gene research will bring new treatment for allergy. For now the drug is wonderful.
