why take diclofenac with food

I have a muscle pain on my shoulder that it doesn't let me sleep. It hurts no matter how I lie to sleep. I have taken some pills that are not strong enough to take the pain away. I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

But the whole development of events forced me into extensively reading on how stuff works, and it was then that I said farewell to human-made drugs. Nowadays I go to the doctor just to get the blood test done once or twice a year... So, diclofenac blocks the proper functiong of the COX enzyme in our body. That's all it does. It doesn't cure anything, it doesn't repair anything...

I had an allergic reaction to (apparently) a NSAID. I've taken a lot NSAID's all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs.

Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage,but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.

hi, there I have only recently heard of that med. My husband was having unbearable "poke in the eye with a hot poker" headaches. the doc gave him these. At the moment he is a miserable male, moaning and groaning about everything. Has stress at work and stress at home. told him to leave each set of stress in the appropriate place so at least he only comes home with home (me poorly, elderly,poorly mum lives with us) with one steress. He used to be so laid back.

since nov 2010 i have been in and out of hospital 3 times for the same symptoms very painful swollen testecalls each time given ciprofloxacin 500mg tablets,diclofenac sodium 50mg, for six weeks also told to go to st marys hosp to be checked for std have done so and am please to say all clear. been back to my dr for follow on check only to be given more diclofenac to take for another six weeks WHY?.

i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

Hi Grampy, I was told to take OxyContin or any narcotic with food. However as Jaybay said you should check with your pharmacist. He/she may also have additionally suggestions for you to help ease your stomach issues. If you weren't told, the literature says you should avoid grapefruit and grapefruit products. That's a given with most all narcotics. If effects the action of the some medications and narcotics are generally one of them. But again check with your pharmacist.

Hi, This seems to be arthritis of the temporomandibular joint on the right side, the joint capsule is damaged because of which it is getting stretched while you open the mouth widely as well the pain over the front of head is due to muscle strain caused.You can take pain relievers (such as Ibuprofen/Diclofenac), can apply pain relieving gel over the joint and do gentle massage for 3-5min. Avoid chewing hard food on the affected side, take only soft feeds.

I have the Ribavirin now but not sure about the take with food part. I eat fairly irregularly no set schedule. Is taking with say a banana, a piece of bread or some almonds enough food? Or does it need to be an actual meal? I know some may suggest peanut butter but I do not eat that. Really I don't eat "meals" very often. Is a bowl of cereal ok?

Hello. My father has a surgery appointment for 6 hours later. This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.

The DICLOFENAC POT 50mg 3x is a new script for me. I just started taking it about 2 weeks ago. About 2 hours after my first dose; the pain and discomfort was completely gone. That, almost instant, effect concerned me; so I looked it up on the manufacturers web site and found it could be somewhat dangerous long term. I decided not to take it 3x and only in the AM. That dosage works for me, because the tendinitis doesn't flare up during the day .
